00:00On Tuesday, Venezuela's Acting President, El Rodriguez, reiterated her call for the lifting of sanctions against Venezuela.
00:07During a meeting at the Miraflores Palace with officials from the U.S. Department of Energy,
00:11among them the Assistant Secretary for the Hydrocarbons and Dual Thermal Energy Office, Cal Hospice,
00:16Rodriguez emphasized that the lifting of sanctions is crucial for the country to realize its full investment potential.
00:22Rodriguez also called for the establishment of energy and economic relations within both countries,
00:27legal framework and under the principle of peace diplomacy.
00:31The meeting also assessed new opportunities for investment and technical cooperation in the hydrocarbon sector.
00:46We have insisted to President Trump that sanctions against Venezuela must be lifted,
00:52so that all investments can be developed fully.
00:54because investors require greater legal certainty and there are always details to consider.
01:00A license does not provide legal certainty in terms of long-term projection because it is subject to temporality.
01:07And I will say this here and in every meeting.
01:11I believe that both the United States and Venezuela have now reached a level of maturity
01:16that allows them to establish energy and economic relations
01:19and cooperation within the legal frameworks of both countries.
