00:00The unofficial start of summer begins on Monday.
00:05The weekend prior, well, it's not going to feel like summer across the whole country.
00:10In fact, it's only going to feel warm across the southwest and southeast.
00:14And with the jet stream coming from west to east across the central and northern part of the United States,
00:19we're going to be tracking some rain and even some thunderstorms from the plains Midwest and into the northeast.
00:26And in particular, the weekend is going to turn out wet and so much cooler in the northeast and mid
00:34-Atlantic
00:35compared to what we've been dealing with most of this week.
00:39You'll need the umbrellas, and unfortunately, outdoor plans are going to be compromised.
00:44Some better news for some as we get toward Memorial Day.
00:48New England and maybe even parts of the northeast, we may start to dry things out later in the day.
00:53West Coast looks good. Meanwhile, it will be warm across the northern plain states.
00:59You can see that warmth extending from Texas toward the Dakotas.
01:03But across the lakes, the northeast, it stays cool on Memorial Day,
01:09while Texas, Florida, and the southwest, well, it certainly feels like summer.
