Transcript
00:00If you're dreaming of a white Christmas, your dreams will come true across New York State and New England.
00:07We have snow on the ground, and we have more on the way as we head into Tuesday.
00:11Now, there's also going to be a little nasty, icy mix across parts of southeastern New England and back into central Pennsylvania.
00:19The farther south you go, the better bet that you will eventually change over to the plain rain.
00:24The farther north, especially New York State on north, this is mostly going to be snow.
00:30Is it going to be a huge amount of snow? No.
00:33General inch or two, Albany, Syracuse, but note the area in dark blue.
00:39Adirondacks, Green and White Mountains, and across southeastern parts of Maine, that's where you could be looking at a few inches of snow.
00:46Christmas Day should be relatively quiet, but huge contrast is going to be setting up as we head into Friday.
00:54A lot of warmth across the Mid-South, even in the southern parts of the Ohio Valley.
00:59But, boy, there's going to be a shot of cold air coming in Christmas night, Friday morning,
01:05and along those contrasting air masses, another storm on Friday, Friday night that can produce snow and ice across Pennsylvania,
01:15including Philadelphia and New York City.
01:18If the precipitation would get up into New England, it would likely be all snow.
01:22So we have a snow and ice event coming Tuesday, and perhaps a bigger one by the end of the week.
