Bernie Rayno breaks down how the weather could impact travel as we head into the holiday week.
Transcript
00:00Of course, a huge travel week upcoming as we go close to Christmas on Thursday.
00:06Let's start you off on Monday.
00:08We do have a storm coming into the northwest.
00:10Heaviest rain is going to be in northern California.
00:13Still some mountain snow across the Wasatch and the Sierra.
00:18Gusty winds and some minor delays in the yellow across the upper Midwest.
00:22Northeast, for the most part, should be A-OK.
00:24No problems across the southern tier of the United States.
00:27Now, as we head into Tuesday, we're going to be watching a storm push across the northeast.
00:33There will be some snow and ice with that from New York State up into northern New England.
00:37That's going to cause some travel delays, probably rain down across the Appalachians.
00:42Still wet weather across central and northern California with some delays.
00:46Same story in the northwest.
00:48As we head into Christmas Eve, another storm coming into California.
00:53There's going to be some major delays, especially across the Sierra.
00:57But we'll start to get rain all the way down into southern California.
01:01That's going to cause some delays from Texas toward Florida.
01:04The green means good.
01:05Some light rain pushing across parts of the Ohio Valley on Wednesday.
01:10Then that moves into parts of the northeast as we head into Christmas Day.
01:14But it's rain, not snow.
01:16A lot of the country is going to be very warm.
01:18A lot of green across the country on Christmas Day.
01:22So if you're doing any traveling, it should be a-okay.
01:25But we will have at least some problems in the western U.S.
