00:00I feel like Randy from South Park right now.
00:02Cream friche!
00:03Now you might be asking yourself,
00:04this dude's fucking disgusting.
00:07That looks gross.
00:09Ugh!
00:36Hey, Craig from Escape of Fate here,
00:39on tour with Lacuna Coil.
00:40We're voting some new stuff.
00:42We're playing like four brand new songs on our set for this tour.
00:45Newest one, Deja Vu.
00:46Make sure you stream that one.
00:48And we're here to talk about tour recipes,
00:51or recipes created on tour.
00:54Now this is one,
00:56actually the only one,
00:57that has stood the test of time,
01:00because in my history,
01:02I've made some pretty crazy stuff over the years.
01:05If you've ever seen the Escape of Fate,
01:08This War is Ours DVD in Amsterdam,
01:11I had the bright idea to make a banana peanut butter sandwich
01:14with no peanut butter.
01:16All we had were peanuts.
01:18I thought the banana would act as a paste
01:20to keep the peanuts on the sandwich.
01:22I can't remember if it was that good.
01:25I was also in Amsterdam,
01:26and I was a degenerate,
01:28so maybe it wasn't that good.
01:30But this one,
01:31this recipe,
01:32has stood the test of time.
01:34So I've been messing around with names,
01:37with Nate.
01:38I don't know whether we call it Tor Thai,
01:40or Poor Man's Pad Thai,
01:42or what.
01:44But one night I had the bright idea
01:46to mix crunchy peanut butter,
01:49sriracha sauce,
01:51into my ramen noodles.
01:52I wanted something a little more
01:53than just the ramen noodles that night.
01:55I'm like,
01:55I want some more sustenance in this food.
01:58And it turned out great.
02:00I also had a buddy on the tour at the time
02:02that was like,
02:03dude, this is like,
02:04kind of like a Thai dish.
02:05It's spicy, it's got the peanuts.
02:07Like, it's really good.
02:08So we're going to make it.
02:10Super easy.
02:12Now you can choose,
02:15only a few people in my circle
02:17have known about this recipe,
02:19and tried this recipe,
02:20so you're welcome for sharing this.
02:22You can choose whether or not,
02:24sometimes I'm just using
02:26normal ramen noodles from the packet,
02:27which does not come with the veggie packet.
02:30I don't use this sauce.
02:33Sometimes you can use the chicken powder.
02:35I like to use it.
02:39And you can also decide to keep,
02:42I don't use too much of it.
02:43I don't want it to overpower the PB.
02:47You can decide to keep it soupy,
02:49I guess you could say.
02:51I, for some reason,
02:53for as long as I can remember,
02:55I've always poured out most of the liquid.
02:59I just like the noodles.
03:00But you can do it any way that you want to do it.
03:04Pretty much these are the two main ingredients
03:06that's really going to boost those ramen noodles
03:10to the next culinary level, if you will.
03:14All right.
03:16Put some water in there right to the line.
03:19And you're just going to pop it right into the microwave.
03:26These microwaves I do about four minutes.
03:28They're a little less powerful than microwaves at home.
03:30I do sometimes make this at home.
03:35You just express cook and then you wait.
03:38And then you remember all the times you write an article about
03:41don't stare too close in the microwave
03:44because of, I don't even remember,
03:48waves, gamma waves, microwaves.
03:52I don't know, it does something to your brain.
03:54Clearly it already has.
03:56So, this came to be, like I said,
03:58I wanted something a little more than just ramen noodles
04:00this random night on tour.
04:02I'm looking at an empty cabinet.
04:04I'm looking at half empty,
04:07actually almost empty bags of chips,
04:10just a little bit of bread.
04:12I honestly think that night there was one slice of bread.
04:16And I was really in the mood for ramen
04:17and in the mood for peanut butter.
04:19So I thought about, I'll make ramen noodles
04:21and like one slice of bread with peanut butter.
04:25And then, I don't know, something in my head just said,
04:27just put the peanut butter in the ramen noodles
04:29and add a little spice to it.
04:31And that was the best decision I ever made.
04:33I would not do this any differently if I was at home.
04:36Actually, the top ramen that comes in the microwavable bowl already,
04:42perfect for tour.
04:43If I'm at home and I'm in the mood for it,
04:46which is pretty rare,
04:48because I'm just usually going out to dinner,
04:51I'll just get the ramen noodle packet
04:53and like put it on the stove
04:55and cook it legitimately.
04:57But this is best for tour.
05:00Sometimes I get the ramen packets
05:01but then I have to buy a bowl.
05:03I have to buy all that other stuff
05:06and try to keep it clean,
05:07put it in a drawer,
05:08take enough space.
05:09This works perfectly fine.
05:11You can eat it,
05:11toss it in the trash.
05:12When you're done, you're good to go.
05:14Usually when I'm making this,
05:15and I'm going to do it differently this time.
05:17It's the first time I'm doing it this way.
05:19Nate tried it.
05:20He loved it.
05:20He made the suggestion,
05:22why don't you put the peanut butter in there
05:24before you take it out?
05:26So I'm going to stop it at about the one minute mark.
05:30I'm going to evacuate some of the juices
05:32because like I said,
05:33I just like the noodles.
05:34I don't like it to be too soupy.
05:36And I'm going to put the peanut butter in there.
05:38Usually I just mix it up
05:39and let it melt with the noodles.
05:41I'm going to see if we can get a little more melty
05:43this time around.
05:44So that was a good suggestion.
05:45Nice call, mate.
05:47Alright, let's see where we're at.
05:53Let's see where we're at.
05:54Nope, those still feel a little too tough.
05:59Let's go ahead and mix it up a bit.
06:02We'll add a minute.
06:03We'll toss it back in there.
06:05Take it out of the minute mark.
06:08Get rid of some of that juice.
06:12That's a peanut butter.
06:13Alright.
06:17There we go.
06:18Where's our...
06:19There we go.
06:25By the way, that's not sitting on the counter with the juices.
06:28Alright, who's all trying it?
06:30Me.
06:32Me.
06:33You want some?
06:34Alright, it's going to be a little bit for everybody.
06:38You're like Randy from South Park right now.
06:41Creme friche.
06:43Alright.
06:44How are the noodles looking now?
06:46Okay, we are good.
06:48Now there's probably still some water bottles in the back.
06:51There's no sink up here.
06:56Yes.
06:57There is the I'm brushing my teeth water bottles back here.
07:01Now you've got to be careful because you don't want to get the veggie stuff down the drain.
07:07That's disgusting.
07:08None of these little veggies have fallen out.
07:10I'm the master of pouring out the soupiness.
07:15Okay.
07:16You want to leave a little in there or it gets a little too dry.
07:21Alright.
07:23We're ready to add the other ingredients.
07:31So, when I'm making just the old classic PB and J's, which mind you, a lot of people,
07:40they tell me they don't even know that they have this jelly.
07:42That blows my mind.
07:45I go for cherry.
07:48Strawberry or cherry are my go-tos when it comes to classic PB and J's.
07:52But cherry, that's the goat.
07:55That's the goat jelly.
07:56I don't know why more people don't know that there's cherry jelly.
07:59It blows my mind.
08:00Anyway.
08:01You've got to clean off the fork because you don't want ramen in your peanut butter jar
08:05for what you want.
08:07PB and J's.
08:09Alright.
08:09So, we're going to add the crunchy peanut butter.
08:13As you can see, it gets sticky.
08:14So, this might be a great idea, putting it back in the microwave for a little bit.
08:19Okay.
08:23Maybe 30 seconds.
08:32It's going to be good.
08:34Pops, guys.
08:44Alright.
08:44Let's see if that mixes a little better.
08:50Eh, it's mixing a little better.
08:53You really got to mess around with it.
08:55That's why I use two forks.
09:01Now, you can use creamy peanut butter if you want.
09:05I personally like the bits of peanuts in there.
09:09That's why I get the chunky peanut butter to make this dish.
09:19Alright.
09:20Now, we're about ready for the spice.
09:28I'm going to try to take the whole top off.
09:30There we go.
09:39Now, usually, when I'm doing this, I just start digging in.
09:44But, I'm actually serving it today.
09:47Here's the...
09:48Hold on.
09:48Let me put the ingredients in.
09:50Now, you might be asking yourself,
09:51This dude's fucking disgusting.
09:54That looks gross.
09:57Ugh.
10:00I'm sure they said that about a lot of things over the year when the ingredients were mixed
10:03before you tried it.
10:04So, don't knock it unless you try it.
10:07So, if you're knocking it, you better try it first.
10:11And that's what these guys are going to do.
10:13Matt, he's trying it for the very first time.
10:15I'm excited, yes.
10:16I'm hungry.
10:20There you go, bro.
10:22Thank you, bro.
10:24There's really not a whole lot for four people.
10:29Come on.
10:31There we go.
10:35Thanks for watching the video.
