00:00Hey, it's Nazareth here from Heaven's Gate from Melbourne, Australia, currently here on
00:14Thrones Excessive Guild Tour in North America on this build with varials and no cure, so it's
00:19been absolutely crazy, but it is currently cold as fuck right now. We're currently just off the
00:25back of releasing our new single, Oblivion. We've signed to Pure Noise Records. First time
00:30international. It's been an absolutely insane experience getting to see North America, especially
00:35Canada and some of the warmer states that we'll be going to soon. I'm sure we'll be great.
00:40So yeah, let me show you where we've been living. This is our home. So this is Christian. He is
00:48from Currents. He is currently our driver for this tour because we would have been absolutely
00:53screwed without him. It's true. Yeah, so this is essentially where he spends most of his time
00:59because he's the unlucky bastard that has to drive the entire trip while we get to relax.
01:04We do try to keep him company up here sometimes as like a co-pilot, but sometimes we're just
01:09like fucked, so we have to just like sleep when he just drives on through the night because
01:13he's a maniac. And this is where we live through the days usually. We've got like our bin. Also
01:20when he falls asleep, I give him a little. Yeah, he uses that to threaten us as well.
01:25Coercion. Um, yeah, so this is pretty much just what goes on. We're essentially just like
01:30learning a lot about American law with like bands and stuff. Christian's showing me all
01:34the old classics and shit like that. So it's been a very educational trip so far. It's been
01:39good. Today we're listening to Armor for Sleep. Big fan. Classic. Big fan. I mean, I can't
01:47really listen to one straight thing. I bounce. My ADHD makes me bounce from one topic to the
01:52other. So I'll go from music. We'll listen to everything from Whitney Houston to Cannibal
01:55Corpse. Uh, and sometimes back to back. Uh, and then we switch between two like podcasts
02:02like Kill Tony and stuff like that. Uh, just to kind of keep ourselves entertained and have
02:07a good laugh. Or sometimes we just sit up and talk just to kill the time. Uh, the other
02:13night, David and I parked at like 4am and then we just sat here and didn't go to sleep
02:18and talk for another like 20 minutes just cause it's a good time. Uh, it's been a real pleasure
02:23getting to know these boys. I think they have a lot of potential in this world and it's going
02:28to be fun seeing them, seeing them come back and do more. So yeah, we've essentially just
02:34been living off, uh, sort of like what each city has to offer, which tends to just mostly
02:40be like pizza. So we also have like the jerky stash. We have the cliff bars from the riders
02:47that we asked for. We've got like assorted magic cards in here. Um, we've got cable ties.
02:55We've got, yeah, the front's pretty boring actually. Not much going on in the front. All the fun
03:00stuff happens in the bag. Um, currently just acting as if we would like pull up to a truck
03:06stop for the night. So this is the, uh, hammock that we learned about from no cure because
03:15we were struggling. We had a bunch of us on the floor. There we go. We had a bunch of
03:22us on the floor and it just wasn't really working. Everyone was sort of like waking up
03:26like this. Um, no one was getting good sleep, but it was just fucked up. And despite how cold
03:30it was, we would wake up and the entire thing would be like an oven and everyone was just
03:35dying. So they put us onto this. This has been game changing because I sleep in this every
03:40night. Don't have to touch anyone or smell anyone or deal with any of their shit. So
03:47it's amazing. Um, and this is where Akulash sleeps. This is our beautiful bassist Akulash.
03:52Yeah. So this is my beautiful sleeping area. It's pretty cozy. The only downside is these.
03:58They really poke into you, but you know, you chuck everything there and then sleep in like
04:06this full vampire mode. And I'm, I'm in the next city when I wake up basically full passenger
04:13princess up the front, but it does the job and it's nice and cozy. Yeah. Like, um, all of
04:19our backpacks and stuff go around here just so this seat is free. And then for the boys in
04:25the back, if they sit in the back, the shoes go there and then yeah, there's enough room
04:29for like laptop and work and all that. And there's a bunch of chargers like USB chargers
04:34there and along the back of the van as well. So it's a pretty good like workstation. If
04:38you can call it for some of us, like David's working from home, I've got uni, so we've all
04:43got stuff to do. So it's pretty good. This little area as well in particular.
04:47All right. So this is the sleeping area and also like the super hectic hangout spot during
04:53the day. This is David, our guitarist on the right. And then we have Kofi hiding behind
04:59the, uh, the hammock. This is where David and Kofi make love overnight to preserve body
05:05heat. So this is like the back area where we sleep overnight. Obviously I'm in the hammock
05:10now. The reason we had to get this was because fitting three people here meant that if you can
05:15see down there, there is like the bump that holds the wheel. So Kofi and I would sleep
05:20on either side and wake up with our faces and bodies pressed up against that. And, uh,
05:25in these temperatures waking up like that is pretty fucked up. So we had to, uh, come up
05:30with a solution and now you get to fit two of them down there. Everything seems fine.
05:34Um, so yeah, that's sort of just like, I don't know. We tried to come up with like comfort
05:40over everything else because our first 30 day tour, we were kind of worried that we might
05:45just go insane and kill each other. So we're trying to make it as comfortable and as chilled
05:49out as possible. Um, so yeah, it's kind of just like nothing super extravagant, just
05:54comfy. We just want to stay sane. That's pretty much it.
05:57This is kind of like the main hangout area. Uh, not much happens here except monster energy
06:02drink and like sitting down and just chilling, trying to stay alive while we're, while we're
06:06driving. Sometimes we'll sleep here during the drive, but usually we're up sitting here
06:10on the bench or sitting there and just scrolling on our phones, trying to, trying to buy the
06:14time. Yeah. We do have usually a lot of fucking bags everywhere in here. Like there's usually
06:20four backpacks there and like a couple of duffels or whatever. And we've got food and
06:24shit everywhere, but we did try to make it nice for you guys to come in here. Uh, but
06:29it usually looks like a bit of a fucking disaster area once, once we do finish a couple of shows
06:33and get in here for the night. So, but yeah. Yeah, look, I'll be honest. I've been sleeping
06:40pretty much as much as possible. It's honestly really comfortable. We've got like a double layer
06:45foam, like mattress topper thing. And honestly, it's like really comfortable. I've been sleeping
06:51probably better than I do at home to be honest. It's been honestly great. He does sleep a lot.
06:56He sleeps like all the time, especially when he's needed. Yeah. So essentially before filming
07:03this video, we sort of just cleaned off a little bit. Um, there was essentially just
07:08like remnants of Twinkies and like Reese's bars. Uh, we had like, we've been getting pizza
07:14in every single city. So like lots of brown paper bags covered in grease. Yeah. All of
07:20David's beef jerky as well. All of David's, literally all of the beef jerky that was in
07:24the front is just David's. David has just become obsessed with beef jerky and, uh, that's
07:30his main protein source. So yeah, he's getting about 300 grams of protein a day, just from
07:35beef jerky, which I'm sure is not good for the body, but it's good for the gains. So
07:40it's fine. Yeah. I think everyone's found like their food item of obsession. Like for me,
07:44it was root beer. So like that bin was full of like three bottles before we cleaned it out.
07:49I don't know what, what's yours Kofi? I've been hitting the Gatorade's pretty hard. It's
07:54been keeping me alive. It's feeling good. Love the blue. Let's go. Dude, it's, it's monster
07:59energy drink and beef jerky. It's everything the body needs, all the micronutrients, all
08:04the macronutrients. If you need gains and you need energy, that's what the fuck is up.
08:08So yeah, that's pretty much a wrap on where we've been living. Um, we've just dropped that

08:22hop in my hammock and, uh, have a little snooze. We're going to take our shoes off because

09:18We originally set up this hammock with the idea that it would just be like a sleep destination
09:28thing, but I'm lazy and I wanted to set it up while we were doing drives. Um, quite a
09:34terrifying experience to get used to, especially like driving on the freeway next to the huge
09:38ass trucks and shit. Um, sort of like flailing around and stuff. If you fall asleep, especially
09:44if I have like AirPods in, I'll be listening to a podcast and then I'll just like, but it's
09:48fine. You get used to it. Your body adapts to it. It's too, uh, all of it's harsh. So
09:52you know, it's still comfy and I'm still off the ground. I still don't have to deal with
09:57David's stinky ass.
