00:17David that was clearly a disappointing afternoon just how do you feel right now
00:21disappointed what you said yeah disappointed with outcome and lots of lots of parts of the game
00:29what frustrated you most yeah well obviously the result frustrated me most because I didn't think
00:34it was it was quite that I didn't think that it was a true reflection on really on the game
00:40but
00:41that's where it ended up what were you saying to the players at halftime obviously got in the break
00:45got the goal just before then had a little bit of momentum what was your message to the players
00:50keep doing what we're doing we hadn't started the game awfully well they had kept the ball quite
00:55well but I thought we'd looked a bit of a threat we'd sort of grown into the game we got
00:59a goal
00:59not long before halftime they started the second half much better they had got themselves a few
01:07free kicks three or four free kicks in the first four or five minutes which didn't help and we
01:12gave away a terrible first goal yeah I thought once it went one each I thought we were probably the
01:16better team leading into that in that period of the game I thought the game sort of swayed at
01:20different times and unfortunately gave away a second goal which meant that we were we were
01:26half chasing the game after that yeah quite early in the second half look like Jacob Bryan might have
01:31picked up an injury as he went into the side he had it in the first half from me he
01:34got it in the
01:34first half from a challenge what he had he went down just before halftime so we knew he had taken
01:39quite a big just after that could see Paterson went to warm up it looked like you're thinking about
01:44bringing Coleman on what was the thought process with keeping on with him because we thought he was
01:48injured when he went off the pitch at the bottom and then we got told that he's able to get
01:51through
01:52it at that period they were having a series of three or four corner kicks at the moment which
01:56I needed big Jake's height yeah thank you
02:00next
02:06Illyman's had two other opportunities in each of the last two games at home here at crucial times and
02:12not taking either does that just sort of show what he needs to develop in his game yeah I think
02:18that
02:18I think really the you know those players were have been so good for us in the early part of
02:22the
02:22season you know I think the second half of the season they've looked as if we've just ran out of
02:26goals mainly from the likes of Illy Kieran a little bit as well so I think Illy especially you know
02:32it is a big opportunities in a few of the games which in the past we've seen him score score
02:36the great
02:37goal against Chelsea here but since then we've we've had quite a lot of opportunities in the games and
02:42we've not been able to to take them to to win the games which we've needed because as we know
02:47we've not been we've not been overly generous we were set a forwards goal so it's been sort of
02:52Kieran and Illy who've been required to step up for us mainly and they both sort of just dried up
02:59in the
02:59last months or so Andy do you have your hand up David it's been a disappointing end to the season
03:07for you now what do you think you need over the summer to to build on the positives of the
03:13of the
03:14area in the campaign yeah I think we I think we'd need to go again and try and try and
03:18restart another
03:20part of another well let's be fair we've we'll try to build something which is going to be good
03:25as time goes on uh we put ourselves in a decent position most of the season to to talk talk
03:34well
03:35about the team but I don't feel like talking well about them today because uh you know it was a
03:41big
03:41moment for us and we we weren't able to take it so we need to try and find a way
03:45of of improving
03:46that and that mainly always means that we're going to have to bring in other players and try and see
03:51we
03:51can we can uh step up again Barry hi David it was another game where Everton had the lead and
04:03couldn't quite see it through so wondering from your perspective what do you think's changed from
04:08the start of the season that the side was holding those leads at the start but has not been able
04:12to
04:12do it in recent weeks uh I don't think there's any any one one reason for it I think that
04:18today's was a
04:20was a pure mistake you know I think the other games and let's be fair we've just we're just off
04:24the back of two or three the worst decisions for for us you know which have made our results look
04:29far worse than they are we've actually in truth played pretty well maybe not so much today but
04:33in the other games we've played pretty well uh wherever we've been in you know we've we've lost
04:38out in a couple of penalty kick decisions which have got its points so any one of those other games
04:42of the points had gone in our favor we would be saying we'd be disappointed about today but we would
04:46still be thinking that we're in we've we've done okay so uh I do think that yeah it's not like
04:53it's
04:54not really like us you know we've lost lost a three here against uh Man City and we lost a
04:59three here
04:59today and especially we're we're playing Sunderland who are not a side who score many goals
05:04in truth so it should have been something which we were we were it we were should be better but
05:09I
05:09said I think the third one got away from us and that's why I said a bit about not sure
05:13the result
05:14was quite the third got away when we're when we're having to try and find a way of getting a
05:17getting a go back
05:21okay okay cheers thank you
