00:00David, you've created a lot of charities in that game, how do you reflect on it?
00:07Maybe a billion pound difference, possibly, you know what I mean?
00:14But overall, it's a game against 11 v 11, so that's how we start.
00:20I thought we played well today, I did.
00:23We've got a good away record, I hope the people who haven't watched
00:26they recognise maybe why, we've done really well and today we've done well.
00:31When we lost Cairn, we were just a wee bit disrupted for about 10-15 minutes,
00:35I thought we'd started the game well.
00:37In that period, we lost the goal, dropped a runner,
00:42but it'd be hard to be disappointed with all the stuff we've done.
00:46I'm disappointed because we didn't win,
00:48disappointed because we've got a couple of injuries,
00:50but not disappointed with how the players are going about it.
00:54Right to the end, they kept going, kept trying to get a goal,
00:57trying to get us back in the game.
00:58The one thing I would say, we were never out of the game at 2-0.
01:01There was always a chance if we could get one,
01:03then we had a chance of getting another.
01:05Do you have any information on Cairn yet?
01:06No, no, no.
01:07Is it hamstring?
01:08Don't know, don't know yet.
01:09Do you have any injuries?
01:12Yeah, just Jack felt his hamstring a little bit as well,
01:15so we just need to be careful on these boys.
01:17Was it a tough decision for him to get back on Cairn's suspension?
01:20No, not really.
01:21It was a tougher decision to take Jimmy Gardner off for ten minutes ago,
01:24who was probably as good as any player on the pitch to Jimmy Gardner today,
01:27but we knew that he was one booting away and we had to protect him,
01:31especially with the boys going away from the AFCON.
01:34Final one, Joe, and then we'll go over it.
01:37Is that what you message was to him when he came up?
01:40Yeah.
01:41Absolutely.
01:42Yep.
01:43Did you have your hand up?
01:45Yes.
01:46Hi Dean.
01:47Hi.
01:48When you get the chances to do that, I'd love to say that I could take it.
02:00I wanted to take the chance to get into the top.
02:03We were probably fifth, sixth, seventh over the weekend,
02:06so we've been in the top six.
02:07But I think today might have even got us in the top four if we got a result today.
02:10I'm not sure exactly.
02:12And I don't want to miss the chances.
02:14I think in football you get a chance, you've got to try and take it.
02:17It wasn't for the want of trying today, that's for sure.
02:20We actually challenged the players to come to Chelsea and show that we could match them.
02:26Maybe we just ran short of the quality required when we got the chances.
02:31We didn't quite take two or three opportunities.
02:35I think everybody in the stadium, when they see Cole Palmer going through and go on his left foot like that,
02:41everybody is nearly saying it probably looks like a goal.
02:45And that's why we just dropped them at an important moment.
02:50Hi David.
02:51You've lost two key players to the AFCON that's coming up already.
02:56But to lose maybe Dewsbury Hall as well, you've been such a key player for you.
03:00How much more is that?
03:02Well, at the moment we don't know if we're losing Dewsbury Hall, so we're not sure about that.
03:06But losing the two boys who are going to the AFCON is a miss.
03:09But I've said in all my press interviews, we hugely support the AFCON.
03:14We support the boys who are going to play for their countries.
03:16It's a great honour for them.
03:17And, you know, we wish them well.
03:20If you sign African players, you have to accept that's part of what happens.
03:24Is that the reality of the squad situation?
03:26Yeah, you're right.
03:31Yeah, we are.
03:32We're not gifted with loads and loads of numbers and lots of players around the place.
03:36So we're well aware of that.
03:39But I have to say the ones who ever have brought in, whatever they've done,
03:41have done great and got us in a decent enough position.
03:44Today, if we got a result, you know, we could have found ourselves probably
03:47in amongst the top boys.
03:48But I hope we can get another couple of chances at it before the end of the season.
03:53Yes?
03:54Over there.
03:55Hi, David.
03:56I'm feeling when I'm dying.
03:57We'll just leave off the comments on the left-hand side too.
04:01Would you say there's a potential issue when you have your best players
04:06in front of the left-hand side?
04:09We thought it might have been at the start of the season.
04:11I don't think it has been this season.
04:13Ellie's been brilliant on the right.
04:15So we've been quite happy with him.
04:17And Jack's been very good as well.
04:20So we think we've found a balance.
04:22I think the bigger competition is we've got Tyler Diblin as well,
04:25who has to challenge those boys to get in the team.
04:27As you say, James Garner was excellent today.
04:31Apologies if you get the sack.
04:33Is there any concern over his future at all?
04:37Because it seems there are consequences around his contract situation.
04:40Well, look, I wouldn't be letting him go.
04:43So I think the club will do everything they can to make sure that he stays.
04:49It shows signs.
04:50It shows probably a difference.
04:51I don't know if many players were after the Everton players in the past possibly,
04:55but they're now beginning to show a bit of interest in some of the players,
04:58which is a good sign.
05:00So hopefully he signs a new contract when it's the time.
05:05But he's got the end of the season.
05:06He's got an option as well.
05:07So obviously we'd be on that if we need to be.
05:11Any further questions or are we done?
05:14Okay.
05:16Nice seeing you.
05:17See you later.
05:18See you later.
