00:00How about this, the tournament, 68 to 76?
00:03I mean, I don't remember anybody really barking,
00:06saying I want more teams in the NCAA tournament.
00:10Do you think they're going overboard with it,
00:12or do you think more teams should be involved in the tournament?
00:15Honestly, Dan, I don't think it matters.
00:17Nobody's going to care.
00:19They did this for money, and it's more money
00:23that you can make off the tournament and revenue and all that.
00:27And I'm not bothered by doing something for more money.
00:31I think a lot of people do that.
00:34If they were only doing it for money to the detriment
00:37of the long-term health of the tournament, I'd say something.
00:41I don't think they needed to do it.
00:42Nobody's clamoring for it.
00:44It's not going to improve the tournament one bit,
00:46but it's not going to hurt it either.
00:48And the truth is most people don't care
00:51until the Thursday of the 64-team bracket.
00:55That's when the overwhelming majority of fans, myself included,
00:59believe the tournament really starts.
01:01Anything before that's a play-in.
01:03And to me, what difference does it make
01:06whether it's four play-in games or eight play-in games?
01:08It's all the same.
01:09I don't think it's particularly fair to the teams
01:13that have to wait to find out who their opponent is
01:17when other teams in the 64-team bracket
01:21find out a little bit earlier.
01:23But I don't have a problem with it overall.
01:26It's fine.
