00:00This person elicits a response and a reaction and an emotion
00:05from a lot of people in this city, and that's James Harden.
00:09Whether it is you can't stand his ass, he's on your turd list,
00:14he caused you to invent a turd list because of him, Tyler,
00:20or he is somebody that you're fond of, somebody you enjoyed the years
00:25and feels like maybe he gets a bad rap.
00:28Oh, no, hell, no.
00:30One thing we can all agree is he tends to be a different player
00:37in the regular season than he is in the postseason.
00:40Turd Ferguson.
00:42He tends to not show up in the big moments.
00:46Hell, sometimes he tends to just not even pull the trigger in big moments.
00:53And he was called out big time at the start of this series.
00:56At the start of this series, the Pistons kicked this thing off 2-0,
01:03and the big story was going around is how many games in his postseason career
01:08that he's had where he has had more turnovers than field goals made.
01:12And in that series, up to that point, he had more turnovers than field goals made.
01:18And that was, he was the person that was talked about and talked about his failures.
01:24Since then, Clint, since game two, three through five, they are 3-0, the Cavs are.
01:32He is averaging 24.3 points a game, three-plus rebounds, eight assists on 42% shooting from three,
01:40and he's averaging three turnovers a night.
01:43Last night, even more, he went for 38 rebounds, six assists, and got to the line 14 times,
01:51which is a sign of him driving and being aggressive.
01:55That's three games in a row.
01:57Now, they've got a closeout game.
01:59The Cavs got a chance to close them out at home,
02:01and we'll see if he continues to play like this.
02:05You think we're seeing a new James Harden?
02:07No, no, you're not seeing a new James Harden.
02:08No, no, not one bit.
02:10No.
02:10I mean, look, I'll be honest with you, to not close out is all you need to say.
02:15It's different.
02:15You know, well, we'll see.
02:17And for me, look, I mean, I'm not a fan of ISO ball,
02:23so I had a hard time really just really digging into James Harden and the way that he played.
02:27Just eat the shot clock up and then yak one up.
02:30So it wasn't James.
02:31It was just my own preference.
02:36But my problem with James is you go back and look.
02:39In these types of games, it ain't just, hey, man, we didn't get it done.
02:44It's my man took five shots.
02:47It's my man looked disinterested in winning the series.
02:51Like the put your foot on their throat and finish them off,
02:55the killer instinct from a sports perspective.
02:57There's just none of β he struggled with that in my opinion.
03:01And so you said it, you know, tonight is β and moving forward,
03:06you got a chance to close them out.
03:08Can you put that foot on that neck and take your team to the next round?
03:13Be the reason why, or do you start deferring to everybody else in the biggest moment of the season
03:17with everything on the line?
03:18That's the key for me with James.
03:20But can I be honest with you, Ron?
03:22Go ahead.
03:24I'm happy for him, man.
03:25See, that's good.
03:26I wonder where β there it is.
03:28This is great.
03:28Look at you and β I wonder where Houston is on this for James.
03:32I wonder because I think there's clearly β
03:35Sure as hell ain't happy for him.
03:36Two sides.
03:37There is Tyler who is β
03:39I'm just telling you my heart.
03:41Tyler, I'm just putting my heart out there for you.
03:42I don't know if Tyler is in prayer, but I'm certain that Tyler is in real hope that James fails.
03:51And then I think there are other people on the β oh, stop.
03:54There are other people on the β
03:55Not necessarily hope.
03:56I just expect it because that's what he does.
03:58Usually.
03:59Tyler, you want him to blow it.
04:01Well, yeah.
04:02I mean, yes.
04:02I'm not arguing that I don't, but I really β I don't sit around just thinking about turd Harden.
04:07I don't think you think about it, but β
04:09But, yeah, I want him to fail, and I would never be happy for him because do we not β
04:13Did we already forget how he left Houston?
04:15Oh, there it is.
04:17Did we already forget that departure and how it all went down?
04:20There it is.
04:20Right there.
04:21There is a difference, I believe, a tug of war of how people in the city feel.
04:25I think there are a lot of people that feel the way that Tyler is, and you're happy for him.
04:30I'm just being β I've never had β
04:32I can't get a beer with you.
04:33I've never had β we can just change topics.
04:36I've never had a β like, I just don't β it's the no-show and critical moments.
04:42I mean, I've never β since he β I don't care how he left, personally.
04:48You know, it's a disgrace that he came in.
04:50Hell, he showed up half-time overweight.
04:52That don't sit real well, but that's him.
04:54For me, it's just β like, dude, to your point, dude takes a lot of heat.
05:00Dude takes a lot of heat.
05:02And he deserves β he deserves some of it.
05:04Sure, no, no, no.
05:05But some of it is over the top.
05:06I mean, he deserved every tongue-lashing Tyler gave him when that damn baggie full of honey buns and money
05:13came up
05:13or whatever he was doing for the baby.
05:14Tyler, he's a great friend.
05:15Yeah, no, I mean, like, he deserves every bit of it.
05:19I mean, everything that comes β
05:20Share their friendship.
05:21You're going to show up 30 pounds heavy looking like you got a fat suit on in critical moments.
05:29You deserve it.
05:30Brandon got me queso.
05:32Not you.
05:33I know, but Brandon got me queso, and he got his friend honey buns.
05:37There you go.
05:37I mean, he's a good friend, Tyler.
05:39I think he deserves every bit of it that he's got, but I just β I think his career β
05:43he's been a great player.
05:45I mean, he's carried organizations at times.
05:49He's taken a ton of heat, well-deserved heat, and I just β it warms my heart to see the
05:57guy play well in a big moment
05:58and see if he can't put his team over the hump.
06:00Now, we're talking about the second round of the playoffs.
06:01We're not talking about a championship.
06:03He's got a long way to go and a short time to get there, but it does β it warms
06:06my heart a bit to see the young fellow
06:07having a little success when everybody was putting that hammer down on him.
06:10Yeah, I thought this round was a little like β like Evan Mobley and Donovan Mitchell over there sitting down
06:17on this team.
06:18Like, he was brought in to help them.
06:20Right.
06:20Like, this is β like, this is not the James that was in Houston or Hillbrook.
06:24Right.
06:24You know, or β
06:25Well, this is turn black β turn back β not turn black the clock.
06:27Turn back the clock.
06:28Yeah, this is turn back the clock, James Harden.
06:29This is turn black the clock.
06:31Well, I don't know.
06:33Oh, my God.
06:34It wouldn't be β it wouldn't be turn for him.
06:36Turn black the clock.
06:36No, he's already black.
06:38He can't turn black.
06:39Whoa!
06:39Turn back the clock, James Harden.
06:41That's what he keeps saying.
06:42Almost lost the L in that clock.
06:45Yeah.
06:45No, that would have been bad.
06:47I was stuck on the black back part.
06:49You're on the seat.
06:49Oh, my God.
06:50You're on the clock part.
06:51Yeah, he was on the black part.
06:52He's trying to take the L out of the clock.
06:54Black right there.
06:55Text line coming in.
06:56We love Harden.
06:57Tyler's a hater.
06:58Shut the hell up.
06:59You don't know everybody's opinion, clown.
07:02There's β right behind it, there's a β F Harden.
07:05I didn't want to type in β they didn't type in.
07:08They typed in F-A-W-K, but I didn't want to chance it.
07:12I've never hated him.
07:14He never had enough help, and I understood why I left.
07:17He got everything he wanted.
07:19Any player that he wanted, anybody he wanted on the roster in Houston, he got, and he still
07:24couldn't get it done.
07:25So, that is dismissive.
07:25He got a couple ran up out of here, didn't he?
07:27I think there's something in the middle there.
07:29Like, I don't think he never had enough help.
07:32There's something β but I understood, like, yeah, man, I'm not playing for Steven Silas.
07:37I've β
07:38Yeah, at the very end, I get β
07:39I'm up out of here, man.
07:40There's a few guys that did that.
07:41I'm not β I'm up out of here, man.
07:43One old buddy didn't do it for two years, did he?
07:45Yeah.
07:45My man sit here, and he saw this team.
07:47Well, we bring it in, John Wall and Boogie Cousins.
07:50That's what we about to do.
07:52That's when he went up to that podium and said, man, we ain't good enough.
07:55I just β being honest.
07:56I'm going to put on β I'm going to put on this fat suit until you guys figure out what
07:59y'all want to do.
08:01But he did have guys.
08:02I mean, you know, Dwight Howard was still a really good player when they brought him over.
08:08I mean, Chris Paul.
08:10I mean, Russ.
08:11Like, he β I mean, he got β he had some β he had some dudes.
08:15Not to mention KD and Tyree Irving.
08:18All that.
08:19But he's had β Joel Embiid.
08:20He's had some dudes.
08:22But here it is.
08:23Tyler, they're with you.
08:24Harden's a turd.
08:26He's a turd.
08:27Turd alert.
08:27I don't disagree.
08:29I mean, he's a turd.
08:30He's done turdish things.
08:31I don't disagree with anything Tyler said.
08:32I just β to see the guy turn the corner a little bit and be the reason that his team's
08:36got a one-game lead in the series.
08:39No, they definitely β they would be β they would have lost this series had he not played.
08:43Yeah.
