00:00First off, do you think Milwaukee got a good deal for the trade of Giannis?
00:06Yeah, I do.
00:07I think they got a lot of solid players now.
00:10Now, by the way, they chose this deal over the Boston offer,
00:13which was Jalen Brown and two first-round picks.
00:16Now, do I think that this means –
00:19like, I think the Milwaukee Bucks have a long road back to contention.
00:23They're just going to have to stick it out.
00:25And their next Giannis might be, like, in the eighth grade right now.
00:28Yeah, thank God they got that arena.
00:30Yeah, I mean, it's funny enough they got – what was Giannis, the 15th?
00:33What was he about?
00:3315th overall pick.
00:34So they got the 13th pick now in this trade.
00:36Maybe they can strike some gold with that.
00:38And it's supposedly a really good draft the way people are looking at it.
00:41But there ain't no – I don't think there's a Giannis available to them at 13.
00:45I could be wrong.
00:46But then they got these other first-round picks that are all the way into the 2030s.
00:50But I like the collection of players.
00:52What really stood out to me about the deal was just how deep of a team
00:56that the Miami Heat actually have.
00:58Because I think, picks aside, they were able to put together a better –
01:05like, before, without getting to their top player, Bam Adebayo.
01:09Yeah.
01:09And, of course, Norman Powell is a free agent right now, and they could re-sign him.
01:12Which they could have tried to do, yeah.
01:13But without having to get to Adebayo,
01:17they were still able to come up with a good enough collection of players to make this work.
01:21And when I think about it from a Rocket standpoint, I don't know if they could have done that.
01:25Like, they would have had to have given up.
01:26I don't know if they wanted to.
01:27They could have.
01:28I don't know if they wanted to.
01:29Well, what I'm saying is, they were able to do this without getting rid of some of their really good
01:35players.
01:35They would have had to, I think, give up all of their good players to match this.
01:39What I'm saying is, the Rockets don't have enough good players.
01:42They got Kevin Durant, Alpern Shingun, and then these younger – like, their younger players are the ones they would
01:47have had to give up to match this.
01:49You don't think Shingun or Amen, not both of them, one of them and, like, Jabari Smith and Picks wouldn't
01:57have done it?
01:58No, I'm saying it would have.
01:59I think this is better.
02:00No, I think –
02:01I think it could – maybe it could have done it, but this is better.
02:04They got a lot of –
02:05You might have thrown in Reed.
02:06They got a lot of players and the Picks.
02:09The Rockets could have given the Picks.
02:11I just don't know how many players they would have been able to give up until you get to the
02:15very best players on the team,
02:16which are – obviously, Alpern Shingun would have been part of it.
02:19But then now you're talking about the men, Reed, Jabari Smith Jr., like, they're –
02:24I'm just saying they would have been top-heavy in what they would have been able to offer.
02:28What else do they want on that team?
02:30Like, there's literally six players on the Rockets that you might be interested in.
02:34You know?
02:35Past that, we're talking about Fred Van Bleet and Steven Adams, right?
02:39You don't want Dorian Finney-Smith or Clint Capella, right?
02:42Like, that's just shrapnel in the deal.
02:43So they were able to offer up more quality players, I think, which is interesting to me when you think
02:49about from the Rockets' standpoint.
02:50They could have been involved in this and they might have still lost.
02:53Yeah.
02:53I would have appreciated it if they were involved in this.
02:59We don't know that they weren't.
03:00We're talking about to the end.
03:01I do believe, Tyler, Miami is – they're about to be the next contending team for a championship.
03:11I think this – now, this move in their roster by themselves, by itself right now – no.
03:18Not right now.
03:19They've got five spots they can feel right now on the roster.
03:23But, to me, I trust Pat Riley and Eric Spolstra in their front office to be able to get –
03:33I mean, they've had to do this before.
03:35They've had to do this multiple times.
03:37They had to do it when they got LeBron and Wade and Bosch and then just had to surround them
03:42and find the fighting Mike Millers and Shane Battiers and Mario Chalmers and Udonis Haslam's and guys around them to
03:53fill the void.
03:54And the other part with Miami is no team has really been better to find under-thought-of players and
04:05develop them, from the Duncan Robinsons to the Max Strews.
04:10They've got several in there over the years that they've been able – the Gabe Vincents that they've been able
04:16to reel in.
04:17And so, I do trust that this roster will look like a roster where you're like, all right, I think
04:24they can compete with Detroit.
04:25I think they can compete with the Knicks.
04:28I think they can compete with Boston.
04:31We'll see what the hell Boston looks like after all of this happens because Boston's situation has to be in
04:39some issues.
04:40So, I think Miami, they went and got – this is what's going to really piss off Rocket fans.
04:47Is Miami right now needs the same thing that the Rockets need.
04:52They need shooting.
04:54Yeah.
04:54They're going to need shooting to surround Bam and Giannis.
04:58And if they keep Wiggins, Wiggins.
05:00They need shooting.
05:01And they have less resources right now, I believe, than the Rockets do to get shooting.
05:06But, like, when you talk about draft and you talk about –
05:09Yeah, definitely in the draft.
05:11Money, money potentially.
05:13You talk about – they have low resources.
05:17I bet you they find the shooting.
05:19I bet you they find guys that they can fill in roles that can shoot in a –
05:25and they're not even as good a starting point as the Rockets are right now when it comes to shooting.
05:29And I bet you they find the shooting that they're going to need, that the Rockets need to.
05:33Yeah, I agree that they're going to find what they need.
05:36I don't think that they're necessarily in a worse spot than the Rockets in terms of money.
05:41Like, the Rockets clearly have a lot of draft capital, especially going into next year.
05:45But they don't have a whole lot of money because they have bad contracts that they have not –
05:50Now, if they shed these contracts, right, they got too many bad contracts to really feel like they're in a
05:54great position to add to shooting.
05:56That's one of the conundrums of, like, where is it all going to come from?
05:59You're going to have to get rid of guys because you're still one of the more expensive teams.
06:02The overall resources in every way you can add to your team.
06:05Yeah, I'll say this.
06:07I trust – what I agree with is that I trust the group in Miami to do it, resources or
06:12not.
06:13Resources be damned, right?
06:14Like, I don't – like, I almost got the more resources.
06:18I trust them to put together a team more so than I do the one – the group that's here
06:22in Houston.
06:23I'll give you that.
06:24But when I look at Miami in the East, they've definitely entered the chat.
06:28But I'm not, like, overwhelmed.
06:30You know, if I was – if I'm Detroit or if I'm certainly the team that just won the championship,
06:35New York,
06:36if I'm Boston, we'll see what ends up happening with Boston.
06:39They could look totally different.
06:40But I trust that organization kind of in a similar way.
06:43If I'm these teams, I'm looking at this and taking note.
06:47And they've, like, entered the chat.
06:48But I'm not overwhelmed by this.
06:50Like, I'm – I don't feel like they're a for sure favorite or, like, this kind of overwhelming matchup.
06:57It doesn't feel like it did when San Antonio started taking over the Western Conference this year.
07:03And it was like, whoa, wait a minute.
07:05Between this Wimby and this Dylan Harper – and this could be maybe an age thing because they're so young.
07:09But it felt really scary.
07:11Like, hey, everybody's on notice.
07:14I think everybody took note of this and then kept going about their business.
07:18Like, I think Giannis and Miami is going to be in the conversation.
07:21But they don't feel like an overwhelming favorite to me as we sit here today.
07:25That could change.
07:25Maybe Boston gets rid of Jalen Brown and we don't like what they get back.
07:28And that's one less team that's in the chat.
07:30But they're just among the group of teams in the Eastern Conference that I like.
07:33Well, yeah, I just – like, they got the big whale.
07:37And then, as you said and agreed, they're – I mean, this has been, what, easily a top five organization
07:45in the last 20 years, 25 years.
07:47If not – I mean, good Lord, they got to Tom Bowl – they got to the finals twice with
07:52Tom Ball's finest as their top player.
07:55And, bam, as their second player.
07:57I don't like the tone of that.
07:59What?
07:59I don't like the tone of that at all.
08:01I'm just saying, comparing –
08:03I don't like the tone of making that this, like, huge task.
08:08Like, how did they get there with Tom Ball's own as their best player?
08:12I'm just saying, Tom Ball's finest is not as good as –
08:15Was hooping.
08:16He was.
08:17He's not as good as Giannis.
08:18I'm just simply saying, they got there and he's not good.
08:21Well, not as good as Giannis is kind of drastic.
08:24I'm just – but that's the comp.
08:25No, he's the big whale.
08:26That's the comp.
08:26That's the comp.
08:27They've been able to get to the finals twice with Jimmy, a Hall of Famer.
08:33Thanks.
08:33Just in a different wing of the Hall of Fame is Giannis, but a Hall of Famer.
08:37Nonetheless, and an older player than Giannis is right now.
08:41They've been able to get to the finals through a Boston team that had Tatum and Brown on it.
08:46So they've been able to do that with Jimmy and Eric Spolstra and that crew.
08:51I think the belief is, yes, they got Giannis, and we know Pat Riley is – he's like Jerry Jones,
09:00right?
09:00He's 100.
09:03And Pat don't got 10 years to build this sucker up the way that the Milwaukee Bucks are about to
09:09try to do.
09:10Pat want to win now.
09:11And I think a lot of people in the league probably know that he's going to do things to put
09:16this roster together
09:17that once the season gets here, you're going to be like, oh, that fits.
09:23Oh, that fits.
09:24And this is – I am really intrigued.
09:27No, I mean, I trust that, and I like what they have already.
09:30Like, what I was saying before, they were able to give up quality players and keep quality players,
09:35which is the thing that I don't think.
09:37Rockets could have only given up quality players or not been in the mix for this.
09:41The Heat were able to give up quality players, Tyler Hero,
09:43and keep quality players on top of getting the big well.
09:46So I like what they did.
09:48I just – I'm not so overwhelmed by it that, like, if I was a Knicks fan that I would
09:51be super worried.
09:52They're going to be there in the mix.
09:54Aside from what – like, I think they're going to do what you're saying they're going to do.
09:57But even, like, what they have now, I like the direction that they're headed in.
10:01I'm just not overwhelmed.
10:02Yeah, I can't wait to see how they fit the pieces of Bam and Giannis together.
10:09Because if Bam and Giannis were here, good night offensively.
10:13I don't know what this coaching staff would be.
10:16I would rather – I'll say I would rather have their team than the one that we have here.
10:20I'll say that.
10:21I'll give you that much.
10:22Would you?
10:23Yes.
10:25Would I rather have –
10:26You'd rather have Giannis, Bam, Andrew Wiggins, and potentially Norman Powell
10:31than KD, hoping KD can replicate last year.
10:35KD, Amin, and Shigun, and Javon.
10:38No.
10:39Damn.
10:39I would say that.
10:40I want to see what else they're going to put together with this thing.
10:43Do that coaching – you give me that coaching staff.
10:45I already like it.
10:46Just give me the coaching staff.
10:47Whoever the coaching staff goes with, I'll go with that team.
10:49I would take it as is.
10:50I would take it as is.
