00:00He is eating it and getting crushed.
00:03And, I mean, his numbers are awful.
00:05He's got more turnovers than he has made field goals in the series.
00:10They've played two games against the Pistons.
00:12He's got nine field goals made.
00:15He's got 11 turnovers last night in a game.
00:19They tried to really get back 36 minutes, 10 points, six rebounds,
00:25three assists, three of 13 with four turnovers, and just fought it.
00:29Dan Barkley was talking about it should never happen in a game,
00:32and here it is happening in a whole series.
00:34Right here, whole series, yeah, yeah.
00:35And here is the reason why I just – I feel like it's getting a little strong on Jim.
00:43It's like we got to remember, like, James is, like, the third
00:47and should be, like, the third or fourth option on this team.
00:51Like, this is not – this is, like –
00:54Like, I just don't even think that James should be judged in the manner that he
01:00was judged the years when he was with the Rockets and he was spiraling to doing
01:05nothing in the playoffs or even the Nets or even the Sixers were – I think James
01:10was still thought of to be one of the best players.
01:13Definitely here.
01:13He was an MVP caliber and won the MVP.
01:17James is 36, and Donovan Mitchell is clearly the best player on that team.
01:22Evan Mobley, who should be the two – Evan Mobley had nine points and one rebound,
01:27the seven-footer yesterday, in his 35 minutes.
01:31Like, that – he's the one who should be getting crushed because he is – he is the
01:35second-best player on their team.
01:37And then the guy that you always win bets with, Tyler, the old Longhorn.
01:42What's – what is that boy's name?
01:45Who now?
01:46Longhorn.
01:47You always win bets with.
01:48Big – big fro – I can't remember his name.
01:51Jared Allen?
01:51Yeah, Jared Allen.
01:52Jared Allen, he – like, he's that big – he had 22 last night.
01:56He's a big – he's a big piece to this team.
01:58I just – like, I just think it's – to me, it's unfair to continue to treat James
02:04like he's the Houston James or he's the – or he's the Sixers James.
02:10That's all I mean.
02:10It's awful.
02:11I mean, it's God-awful.
02:12But, I mean, I don't – he's not –
02:14But it's – I think – I think here – I think you are viewing it through a NBA fans
02:19lens.
02:21I think from a casual Rockets fan lens, it's just more of the same.
02:28It's the not – it's the not – and I don't know, maybe nationally,
02:32you're talking about them beating him up nationally.
02:34Here, it's just the – the not showing up in the biggest moments
02:40and not even not showing up and just, like, not getting it done,
02:44but totally just, like, some wild stat – like, not taking shots in critical moments.
02:50Like, turning it over more times than you – more shots than you make.
02:54Like, I think that's probably the part that is hard to let go,
02:57even though he is a little bit older and even though the guys you mentioned
02:59should probably be carrying more of the load.
03:01I think that's the part that – in Houston, at least, that you look at and you go –
03:05you just kind of look up and see the box score or you see the topic, the highlight,
03:08and you're like, yep, that's James.
03:10Yeah, just like to me – and I get that part of it.
03:12I think, obviously, his history and him being James is who he is – is what pushes this a lot.
03:18I'm just saying, like, this is just not the same dude that you should have those expectations for.
03:22Like, if Luka were playing in this series and Alston Reeves had been –
03:28and they were all healthy the way they were playing, like, we shouldn't be looking at LeBron
03:34to put up the numbers if he was the best player on the team like he would normally do.
03:39Right?
03:39Like, he had four turnovers last night, James.
03:41This wasn't like the nine that Durant had.
03:43He had four turnovers last night.
03:45He's just – like, he's struggling like he has, but, I mean, it's not a deal where this offense is
03:53running through James.
03:54Yeah.
03:54And James is – like, this offense is running through Donovan Mitchell, and that's who they're trying to get to.
03:59You think James is still kicking in them streets?
04:01Absolutely.
04:03I don't know what he did in Detroit, but I'm sure he found something.
04:05Oh, I'm sure.
04:07Hell, he's been playing long enough.
04:09I mean, he's got something in every city.
04:11I feel like Detroit might be the stop city.
04:14I think he may tread carefully, but I think he's all right.
04:17The rest city.
04:17Maybe the rest city.
04:18I don't know.
04:19I mean, Northern Michigan gal said Detroit's changed game, man.
04:24Great city.
04:25Detroit has.
04:26Yeah, the downtown is nice.
04:27I don't know.
04:28I don't know if Jim is rolling the court.
04:30That Netflix show, he had him a lady.
04:33Who did?
04:33James.
04:34He had a lady he was exclusive with.
04:36Oh, really?
04:37On that Netflix show.
04:38That's season two.
04:38Where did he find her?
04:39I don't know.
04:40Shake?
04:40I don't know.
04:42Treasures.
04:43I don't know.
04:44I'm not going to put that on that young lady.
04:45I don't know where he found her now.
04:47It's a good job.
04:48Do I believe by her build?
04:50Do I believe by her build she could be capable of getting a dance on?
04:54Yeah.
04:55Shaking a little ass.
04:56You think she can make a little money?
04:59Make a little money in a shake?
05:00If that is what she wanted to do.
05:02Again, I don't know what I think Beyonce could make some money in a shake,
05:06but that's not what she wants to do.
05:07I don't know what this young lady wants to do or where he found her.
05:12I don't remember that back story.
05:15Yeah.
05:16Again, man, it's just.
05:18You think he's in church?
05:20Absolutely not.
05:23Absolutely not.
05:24No chance.
05:25Yeah.
05:25I just got to calm down on it.
05:28By the way, have you been watching this?
05:30The Thunder, they have become the new Kansas City Chiefs.
05:35I mean, the officiating blaming.
05:38And listen, if you know, obviously you know I'm pulling for in that series.
05:42I'm pulling for LeBron and the Lakers.
05:45And I understand J.J. is doing what coaches have done,
05:49and you go in between games and you say LeBron James is the worst officiated star
05:55I've ever seen, and you say all these things.
05:58But it was, they had a meeting at half court, the Lakers and the officials.
06:03Like, they weren't allowing them to get off the floor.
06:06They had a meeting for about, I don't know, it felt like a minute.
06:09And Austin Reeves is just going off and losing.
06:12And that's been the focus of conversation.
06:14And it's been building with kind of the flops from the Thunder,
06:20in particular Shea, their best player.
06:22It has got a real Kansas City Chief vibe.
06:25Because all I would like to say to the Lakers, and again, you know I'm pulling for it.
06:29Guys, what opened the game is you had a five-point lead.
06:33Shea went out with his fourth foul.
06:35They proceeded to go on a 20-4 run without Shea on the court.
06:40Mind you, their second-best player is injured too.
06:42He's not even played in the series yet.
06:44The Chiefs are in bed with the refs.
06:47Like, come on, man.
06:48Like, there were some calls, but, I mean, come on, man.
06:52You had a 20-4 run without – you had a five-point lead when Shea went to the bench.
06:57And then they started to blow you out before he even entered again.
07:01Like, that's like – I mean, you had 21 turnovers.
07:03Like, I'm sorry.
07:04Like, that is – like, let's look at some other things.
07:07There are a few calls here, but let's chill.
07:09Well, I thought it was interesting that they're showing that highlight all over TV now.
07:13I thought it was interesting, and I'll be honest with you, I thought it was refreshing to see, as you
07:21mentioned,
07:21the referees didn't run off in cold shoulder and run from it.
07:24I think there was two refs standing there talking to –
07:26Have you ever seen anything –
07:27No, I've never seen anything like it.
07:28But I appreciate it.
07:29I mean, they – I don't know if Austin was just – like, he had a legit point.
07:33Sounded like he had a legit point.
07:34Half of his team was huddled around wanting to listen to what he was saying,
07:37and they were all intently listening.
07:38The refs appeared to both be looking him in the eye and listening to what he was saying.
07:42He said what he needed to say.
07:43He turned around, walked off.
07:44Everybody broke up and went their direction.
07:46It was a bunch of adults, a bunch of mature adults, it seemed like,
07:51handling a little bit of adversity in a good way.
07:54So it was refreshing to watch, and it wasn't just a bunch of –
07:57I mean, not that I'm opposed to dog cussing, but it wasn't one group walking away,
08:02the other group dog cussing.
08:03It looked like it was a good, mature conversation, and maybe something come up.
08:08Yeah.
08:08We'll see.
08:09We'll see what happens in the next game.
08:11Yeah.
08:11We'll see.
08:12We'll see.
