00:00In your opinion, who won the fight?
00:04I mean, I thought Strickland edged it, man.
00:07I thought he had two, three, and five.
00:09Five was, well, three was pretty close.
00:11Five was pretty close as well.
00:13I know those takedowns in the fifth round, you know,
00:17they could have swayed the judges.
00:20But to me, I felt like Strickland did the better work.
00:23He was on the back foot the whole time,
00:25but he's always on the back foot.
00:26That's kind of his game.
00:28You know, and I thought he was landing pretty good shots.
00:30When it went to the cards, I thought they would give it to Hamzat.
00:35I don't know why.
00:36I mean, I had a plus 13 and a half spread bet on Strickland.
00:40So to me, it didn't matter because I knew it was going to be close enough
00:42where I was going to cash that ticket.
00:45But I thought Strickland did do enough.
00:47And it really just comes down to how you judge it.
00:49I mean, you know, the grappling in the fifth round,
00:54he got credit for six takedowns,
00:55which I'm not so sure about six takedowns in that round.
01:00But yeah, I mean, it was really close.
01:01I wouldn't mind seeing it again.
01:03I actually didn't mind the fight.
01:05I thought in round two when Shemayev pulled guard,
01:08I was like, oh, this is it.
01:09This is where the guy breaks.
01:11Like, it was a big moment.
01:13You know, the next three rounds were kind of just tit for tat
01:16and not a ton of action.
01:18But to me, it was kind of intriguing.
01:21I wouldn't mind a rematch just because it was so competitive.
01:24Obviously, it's not going to have the hype behind it that this one did
01:27because of, like you said, you know, afterwards,
01:30it was a bit of a love fest.
01:31Shemayev put the belt on him, you know.
01:33So it kind of takes away a little bit of that,
01:35the hatred luster there.
01:37But yeah, I mean, it's kind of the fight I kind of expected
01:42because Strickland was able to stuff some of those takedowns early on
01:46after that first round.
01:48And, you know, it was kind of a Sean Strickland-type fight
01:51when it really came down to it, mostly standing.
01:53So, yeah, I mean, it was interesting.
01:56It was a decent fight, I thought.
01:57Yeah, it wasn't like the crime of the century or anything like that,
02:01in my opinion, right?
02:03But I thought that Hazmat won the first round.
02:08I gave the second and third round to Sean.
02:11Not a lot happened, but I gave him the second and the third round.
02:16I thought Shemayev won the fourth, and then I gave him –
02:19and the fifth was kind of the debatable one, right?
02:21That's the one that a lot of people were like, all right, it was 2-2,
02:25the fifth round, and how you saw the fifth.
02:27But I thought Hazmat deserved to win the fifth round.
02:31But with all that being stated, he was far from himself,
02:35and at the same time, I don't want to take anything away
02:38from Sean Strickland either, right?
02:40Because Strickland's a difficult dude to fight.
02:42A lot of people said, you know what, he'll be very hard to keep down
02:45even if he gets taken down, and that proved to be the case.
02:49Strickland's game plays well to the judges as well
02:53because he is a volume type of fighter.
02:56So I'm not dissing Sean Strickland at all.
02:59I didn't think he won, but I gave him credit.
03:02I respect him for winning the fight, but I'm not in a hurry
03:05to want to see it again.
03:07I don't know.
03:07Maybe I'm just sort of like old school where I saw Nate Diaz talking about it.
03:12He goes, I felt scammed.
03:16That's the way I felt.
03:17I was like, well, it was a work.
03:20We got work.
03:21I was like, damn, I've been around long enough.
03:24I said, before the fight, you guys, this isn't a work.
03:28I've been around long enough to see this is real.
03:30I was like, damn, I fell for it.
03:32I was like, my deal.
03:34I was like, no, I don't want to see this again.
03:36Screw you both.
03:38Screw you both.
03:38Go have a drink together or something now, right?
03:41I don't want to deal with this.
03:43I like the old Conor Khabib stuff where they hate each other after still.
03:47Yeah, that's my deal.
03:49That hatred still lives on.
03:50Absolutely, yeah.
03:52Could be him jumping off the cage.
03:56That's what I'm talking about, baby.
