00:00Let's go over to UFC 327, the Miami card.
00:03What'd you make of the Miami card?
00:05You know, obviously a couple of fights were extremely disappointing.
00:09The Reyes Walker one being one of them, but for the most part,
00:11I thought it was a great card. You know,
00:13the last three fights in the card were all fantastic. Once again,
00:17we see underdogs performing well in the, on the main card,
00:21in the main event, especially another underdog win there. I mean,
00:24he was a short underdog. I think he was plus 100 Olberg entering that fight,
00:27but he ends up winning there as well. Obviously not exactly how you want the
00:31final fight on the card to go with, you know, an injury. And then the other guy
00:35kind of, you know,
00:35not exploiting that injury kind of laying off a little bit and then getting
00:38caught. So always a little bit of controversy, these UFC cards,
00:42but for the most part,
00:43I thought it was a great card and I thought we got some great finishes out of
00:45it.
00:46What fight did you like the most?
00:49I think it would have to be Hawk at blades.
00:51I think that was a big one for me going into it because, you know,
00:54you have this guy who's been a long-term contender at heavyweight and then
00:57you've got this up and coming young guy who's talking a lot of trash,
01:01kind of making himself into a character.
01:02And it was kind of one of those breakthrough fights.
01:04You could see Hawk at just getting absolutely starched. Maybe, you know,
01:08if he, you know, this is a big step up in competition for him,
01:11but he really stepped up. He showed,
01:12he deserves to be on that level. And at the same time,
01:14I think we also saw blades show that he's not willing to just be,
01:18you know, one of those, you know,
01:19gatekeepers is going to get knocked out by the young up and coming guys.
01:21He showed a lot of heart, ate a lot of punches,
01:24but just the sheer volume of significant strikes in that fight.
01:27I don't know if I've ever seen that at heavyweight, they were just,
01:30you know, teeing off on each other for 15 minutes, fantastic fight.
01:33And that was, you know,
01:34perfect to come on after that Reyes Walker fight,
01:37which was insanely boring.
01:38And then all of a sudden you get a just absolute battle between two heavyweights.
01:41And I think it honestly raises both of their stocks.
01:45So UFC freedom fight two 50 at the white house.
01:48How's that card shaping up?
01:51You know, it's a, you know,
01:52I know some people don't love like some of the matchups there and they thought it
01:55was going to be a little bit better maybe, but I think on the whole,
01:57I think you have to be kind of happy with what you're getting.
01:59It remains to be seen kind of how the entire card is going to fill out,
02:03but I think the main fights on there should be fun.
02:05I think we've got some good matchups.
02:07And I also liked the fact that they haven't painted themselves into a corner by,
02:11you know, having, you know, all Americans on there.
02:13You know what I mean?
02:13Cause I think some people were like, Oh,
02:14there's a lot of matchups with non like non American fighters on there.
02:18And I was like, you know what,
02:18they're just getting some of the best fighters they can for any given fight.
02:22You know,
02:22I think the O'Malley matchup might be the only one that I really was scratching
02:25my head about, but for the most part, I think it's a pretty good card.
02:28I just think our expectations were so much higher because it's been hyped so much.
