00:04you're going to see tonight here rowit yeah i mean the main event is uh going to be a weird
00:10one because it's two guys that have a ton of ufc experience they're both pressure fighters uh they
00:15both have elite cardio but they're completely different in terms of their style you got
00:20strickland who's this high volume kickboxer uh pretty defensively sound obviously knockout against
00:25perera and then you've got uh you've got um anthony hernandez who is one of the best grapplers in the
00:31division high-end grappling relentless with his takedown attempts and generally when i'm looking
00:36at fights like that i'm always leaning towards the grappler for the most part unless the guy has
00:41really good takedown defense and that is the thing with strickland it's hard to tell because he hasn't
00:45really faced any elite wrestlers uh drunken stuples he did take him down uh six times but he immediately
00:51popped back up to his feet there so strickland has a 76 takedown defense and even that's skewed
00:56because of that uh duple c fight so i mean he's got really good takedown defense pops back to his
01:01feet so that's going to be an interesting one i think that one goes the distance i'm kind of staying
01:05away from the money line because i think it is a little bit skewed a little bit too wide but
01:09some
01:09interesting fights on this card because it's a lot of fights kind of like that where you have question
01:13marks about a couple of these guys or you have a big drop off in competition from some of these
01:18guys
01:19like igay jeff neal who have fought the top of the top in their divisions who are now kind of
01:24fighting a lower level of competition and so we're getting them at pretty good numbers against uh
01:28fighters that are relatively unproven and we've seen over the last couple of years that those proven
01:33fighters tend to win in those spots especially at a decent odds when we're getting those them going up
01:39against these up-and-coming younger guys how good is the card in your opinion i mean like you said
01:44sometimes they fluctuate they go up and down how good is this card tonight in houston
01:50you know i think it's going to be a good one i think it's uh i think we're going to
01:53see a decent
01:53amount of finishes and i think we're going to see a lot of guys in kind of desperation spots we're
01:57seeing younger guys that are trying to make that move up and we're seeing older guys that are kind
02:01of wanting to hold on to their spot so i think we're going to see aggressiveness from you know
02:05multiple fighters on this card i think we'll see a fun fight but at the same time i don't think
02:10uh
02:10it's going to blow us away as far as anything goes but i mean it's a fight night card what
02:14can
02:14you expect if these are about as good as the fight night card gets uh unless you're talking
02:18about fight night cards you know in the middle east or over in uh england or something like that
02:23how do you think that relationship with paramount plus has gone so far you know obviously there was
02:29like mixed results when it was with espn plus how do you think this has gotten off so far because
02:34that was a big contingent about a lot of ufc fans with the espn plus app it was very difficult

02:41times to go and maneuver through that how do you think this has been an early uh early uh start

02:47far for them in that relationship you know i think it's great especially for the future uh i'm out of
02:53canada which is unfortunately we do not have the paramount plus i included in our package right now so
02:58it's uh not great for us but i think for the future i think it makes a lot of sense
03:02it's a deal that
03:03makes sense but at the same time it's like you kind of have to start playing ball with these
03:06bigger corporations and start kind of towing the line and we saw with some of those uh sean
03:11strickland comments this week that uh all of a sudden everyone's up in arms it's like data white
03:15could get away with saying i don't put a leash on my guys they can say whatever they want but
03:19all of a
03:20sudden when you're affiliated with a bigger uh company like paramount you've got to start kind of
03:24towing the line so it's going to be interesting to see how uh that change is moving forward but i
03:28think
03:28in terms of uh pulling fans i think it's fantastic
