00:00Do you think Tyler Hero's played his final game?
00:02I asked Ira.
00:02Do you think Tyler Hero's played his final game with the Miami Heat?
00:06I do, and I hope that he has.
00:11I agree with you because of what Ira said,
00:13which is not hope like, oh, my God, he's garbage.
00:16I've got to get him off my team.
00:18It's just enough already.
00:21It's a 3-0 fair.
00:22Dale.
00:23Dale.
00:23Dale.
00:24I bless.
00:25Dale.
00:28Dale.
00:29Thank you, Jimmy.
00:30You're welcome.
00:323-0-5 is sponsored by Miami Lakes Chevrolet,
00:35where you walk in as a customer and drive out as family.
00:39Yeah, it's just a carousel with Tyler Hero and probably for his own,
00:42because what will happen inevitably, if he's back,
00:47he will be part of every trade rumor once again
00:50when the Heat start courting someone else.
00:53It's probably time to move on for everyone's sake.
00:58And to that point, he's not garbage because he wouldn't be a trade piece
01:02because he had no value.
01:03He has value.
01:05I just think down here, the injuries and the –
01:08he is a defensive turnstile as well, let's be honest.
01:11But offensively, he can play ball, but he's never around.
01:13I don't even – I don't remember what's his big game this year.
01:17When did he go crazy one game?
01:19I think Pat Riley probably is done with him as well
01:24because of the availability issue,
01:26but Pat Riley also knows he's maybe his best trade asset.
01:31So it's a very interesting dilemma.
01:34You know what scared me?
01:35And I don't like it, but Ira – you know, I listen to Ira,
01:39like you say, 38 years.
01:41If everybody knows that Kalel Ware has no motor, it's not just us.
01:46It's the whole league knows he has no motor.
01:49And that might be why he transferred colleges,
01:51and that might be why Spoh has a problem with him.
01:55So Kalel's upsetting me now.
01:58Think Tyler will be back next season, Solana?
02:01I don't, but I wouldn't be surprised if he was.
02:06If they can't find a suitor.
02:09Yeah, but I think ultimately the Heat likely are not going to give him an extension
02:14or the type of extension he's going to be looking for.
02:17And I think he and the Heat would be better off either trading him this offseason,
02:23if it's for Giannis.
02:24If not, then maybe for somebody else.
02:26Or trading him at the deadline
02:29because you don't want Tyler here to walk for nothing.
02:32And if it's not done this summer, then I think ultimately he'll be back.
02:36But he's an unrestricted free agent next year.
02:39You don't want to lose him for anything.
02:40The Heat aren't going to extend him.
02:41And, you know, you move him at the deadline.
02:45But Crowder, I do take some issue with the way you're talking about Tyler Hero.
02:49I'm not dodging the fact that he has injury concerns
02:53and that once again this year he wasn't available.
02:55But to pretend like Tyler Hero isn't a really good NBA player.
03:01I'm not calling him a superstar.
03:03Really good offensive NBA player.
03:05Yeah, yeah, yeah.
03:06But, I mean, he was an all-star last year.
03:08And he deserved to be an all-star last year.
03:10And this year the injuries got in the way of him, you know, being available.
03:15And I'm with you.
03:16Like, and we can criticize him for that
03:18because that's been a recurring theme throughout his entire career.
03:22But he's not garbage, man.
03:23Like, he had some really solid games this year when he was back.
03:27And he's not just like some guy you've ever heard.
03:30I mean, he's talked about in trades for Kevin Durant, for Giannis.
03:35Like, he's not garbage.
03:37No one thinks he's garbage.
03:38No.
03:38He needs to come off the bench and be a microwave.
03:42Six man of the year.
03:44Like, come off the bench and if they're having offensive trouble,
03:46come off the bench and go score 10 real fast.
03:48I think that's the rest of Tyler's career.
03:51And also, I'm going to give you a secret about athletes.
03:55You don't get older and healthier.
03:58Like, nobody said, oh, he kept getting hurt at 23.
04:02Oh, he's good at 33.
04:03He's going to continue to get injured.
04:05Right, but he's only 26.
04:07It's not like he's 29, 30, and he's entering the back end of his career.
04:12Like, theoretically, he still is getting to what should be an NBA player's prime.
04:19And he's gotten better every year.
04:21Like, he genuinely has.
04:22He just can't stay healthy, which is an issue.
04:25Well, show me on the court, Salama.
04:26You can't tell me that there is shoot-around.
04:28Well, I mean, he was an all-star last year.
04:31Like, let's not get it twisted.
04:32He literally was the best player on the Miami Heat last season,
04:36and they were a playoff team.
04:37I'm not saying that's good enough.
04:38I'm not saying Tyler here was a superstar.
04:40I'm not suggesting he will be, but the way he gets talked about
04:43and disrespected by some Heat fans I think is weird
04:47because, like, he's a quality NBA player,
04:52and he's a really good offensive talent.
04:55Yeah, but I don't think anybody disrespects him.
04:57I mean, he's a quality player.
04:58He's a quality player, but it's time.
05:01Oh, I'm with you.
05:02I agree 100%, but I do think he gets disrespected a lot.
05:05Like, talked about, like, if he's –
05:08the ceiling for Tyler Hero is just, like, a six-man and a role player.
05:13He was six-man of the year, wasn't he?
05:15Yeah, no, he was six-man of the year,
05:17but it doesn't mean that he can't be a starter.
05:20He's an all-star.
05:21Yeah, but I think Crowder's kind of got something there, though.
05:26I mean, you want a guy to come in, spark an offense,
05:28and make buckets, make things happen.
05:32Like, he's your guy.
05:34But to make him a centerpiece of a team,
05:38I think we've tried that for years.
05:40No, I mean, that was proven last year in the playoffs.
05:43I mean, that was my biggest takeaway last year from the NBA playoffs.
05:47Tyler Hero cannot be your go-to player and your number one option
05:52if you want to contend,
05:53because they took him out of the series last year
05:55and he had no – absolutely no option to take over.
06:00He just couldn't.
06:00They took him out of the series.
06:01I'm with you on that.
06:02He can't be a marquee player on your team,
06:04but can he be your third or fourth best option
06:08and one of your primary scorers?
06:10For sure.
06:11For sure he can.
06:12I'm just saying, you look at those guards in San Antonio,
06:15you look at Jalen Brunson,
06:16you look at some dogs.
06:18Tyler's not anywhere close to them.
06:20Tyler, like I said, come off the bench and spark the offense.
06:23I think that's going to be his role.
06:25He's 26 until he's 36.
06:27He has 10 years to spark the offense off the bench.
