01:36to do with this but i'm gonna play first eric spolstra who look i understand he's pissed they
01:43played terrible he started off his press conference basically being like we had no fight we didn't you
01:49know give any effort into it like we should have and i was like all right so he you know he obviously
01:55wasn't pleased but he was asked completely fair question by ira winderman about the tyler hero
02:01coming off the bench thing and this is what spose response to it all was play tyler off the bench
02:07was that a minute thing or was that just that's just a decision and and your thoughts i'm not going
02:12to get into any of that right now his 29 minutes today is that about what you were looking at coming
02:17in or is that roughly and and his thought they start with that second unit what did you think that
02:23looked like with him out yeah for stretches i thought the unit looked uh good and then there was
02:27other stretches where uh you know um you know the unit uh you know was getting beat by minnesota so
02:38um we'll work on all of it uh you know we just we didn't have enough of a fight you know tonight
02:45yeah that's not great not too pleased there that's like yeah that's rough yeah they you know it was a
02:54decision i'm not going to get into that well i mean when so i'm going to play heroes post game now
03:03um because there was only like 90 seconds yesterday but there was i want to know if anybody
03:09noticed where uh it got a little frosty from boy wonder after the game yesterday this is what he had
03:19to say after the heat lost wins but because you've been out so long and haven't played a lot this
03:25season it's had to be nice to be back on an nba floor playing basketball uh that's right it's so good
03:31to be you know back healthy back on the court um obviously would like to have won the game but um
03:37just felt good to be healthy what do you feel like the progress is from here as the trip goes on
03:42as you ramp up to the spot where you want to be uh just keep myself healthy just want to be healthy
03:48that's about it what was it like out there as far as did you feel you had your win did you feel you
03:54were yourself i don't know if you want to put percentages on it but just to sort of offer some
03:58perspective i guess i'll ask what percentage of tyler here do you think you were uh felt good so
04:05like i said just being out there uh it was my biggest you know thing that i wanted to feel
04:10and that's how i feel i felt good so it's the only second third game since you played off the
04:15bench since you went to the six man award obviously it's a little different what was that adjustment
04:19like uh it's cool it's uh not really an adjustment just playing basketball and is that something that
04:28if coach wants to keep things copacetic the way they are he'll just move forward through if he wants
04:33to keep things the way they are before you came back or is it something you're pushing for ask him
04:38and um just as far as the game's going forward now is it just straight ahead or is that something
04:45where you're gonna have to sort of yeah like i said i'm healthy so uh just want to be available
04:49and be healthy awesome ask him dude enough well he had similar um answers in his in his
05:03and drinks shoot around sound but yesterday as well he did not quite with that tone no i mean the
05:09ask the coach was is still a little bit now it's just ask him
05:15i mean i heard his pregame his shoot around sound and i was kind of like oh there's never it's never
05:23not gonna be something that bothers him he was an all-star last year he thinks of himself as a star
05:30he obviously wants to get paid like a star um and now you have you know norman powell here kind
05:38of being the lead dog on this team the problem here with with hero where i just i don't think
05:43that he has as much of a leg to stand on is he just hasn't been available that's been the biggest
05:47issue and it's honestly to be honest with you all the flaws of tyler hero people like to throw on us
05:51on uh at his feet the defense not a big time player the biggest thing the biggest issue is
05:58availability it's not even close he's obviously a very talented player um i believe him to be a
06:05hard worker not uh not a nefarious bone in the body but the availability has been an issue and i
06:15think that the heat were like hey we are playing better basketball right now they had won four out
06:20of five we're gonna keep this rolling and we're gonna we didn't have jaime because i don't even know
06:25when jaime comes back i don't even know that's the best thing to have heroes still on the bench
06:28maybe it is to to to rock and put davion back on the bench i don't know what the answer is i don't
06:33i don't foresee a a healthy tyler hero i don't know if he'll be on the bench the entire time
06:38but i totally thought that was the way they were going to go with him first coming back but it's
06:43bothered him since he was the sixth man of the year he didn't want to be the sixth man of the year
06:47when he was the best guy at doing in the league i honestly thought it came to a good start because
06:51the ball was popping he hit a three right away him and davion found him in the corner um but
06:57the only thing with him yesterday because tyler probably had one of the the better game score he's
07:02the only damn person who could put in the basket besides norm was uh it was another one of those
07:06weird games he didn't want to shoot threes like he was there was a couple times where i thought the
07:10ball got to him and you just like him to rise up and just take the shot because he's one of the
07:15best three-point shooters on the team and he wouldn't do it but i don't know you know it does
07:21make you wonder like does this feel like we're uh we're getting to a point where this run is going
07:29to come to an end i think it has to and i think you have to do it before the season's over right
07:34because if you get into free agency then you have you get no like you get nothing for him yeah and for
07:39the people in the chat who are like you're not you're letting bam look i literally spent my entire
07:43first segment calling him garbage today like he was terrible in the game rudy gobert stuffed him
07:48in a locker put a beret on him and stuffed a croissant in his mouth it was terrible he was
07:53terrible i don't really have anything to like but he stunk now for you know a very handful of games
08:00i'm talking about this because it's not really tyler played okay yesterday i'm not i'm not blaming
08:04tyler as to why they lost he certainly was far from the biggest issue yesterday not even close
08:09does it coincide with him coming back well i mean it does but it's not i'm not blaming him i'm just
08:14saying that just happens to be how it's lined up every time he's come back but i am wondering about

08:34damned um and that's that right now like he hasn't been available enough for me to feel like he did
08:41it the last time when he came back he put him out there put him back in the starting lineup he might
08:46be back in the starting lineup this next game maybe they have a practice today and they feel like it
08:49goes better and he'll be in the back in the starting lineup um and maybe i'm reading too much
08:54into it because they had a bad loss they got embarrassed and everybody was pissed no i don't think you
08:58i think the from yes from the game before from monday i mean from sunday with him being available
09:07being dressed out and sitting on the bench and even you know suppose smugness in those questions
09:13and answers plus added on to i still think that and shoot around sound like i said there was still
09:20some frogginess there from tyler hero frostiness frostiness is what i'm going to say yes he was
09:25feeling froggy he was feeling i know it would be um he there was frostiness from tyler hero there too
09:30so i feel like there is an issue and now you have to have the question of have you seen enough of
09:37this heat team with tyler hero and is it time to you know move on well i think that's a fair question
09:42with everything you know like i don't think that's just even a tyler question to be honest with you
09:46like i know they're not going to trade bam and and for the people who get at bam and and and
09:50criticize bam i'm not saying i'm not saying that he's above that
09:55i i he when you're the max guy and you're gonna make you know 47 54 and 60 million dollars over
10:01the next three years and you're the max player on the team you get to wear the criticism that's why
10:05i'm not getting on kalal wear for yesterday like kalal wears a baby he's gonna have rough spurts
10:10if you can't accept that tough like there's gonna be ups and downs with him but i think with bam he's
10:1628 years old his offense is the worst season he's put up in a long time he seems almost more lost on top
10:23of building a brick house than anything and i don't want to hear about him oh i have to adjust
10:28to the system dude enough of that nonsense like you're not here screening guys open like you were
10:33like you were years where you had to get everybody open and dribble hands all that stuff like you are
10:39just missing that's it that's what it is with him and so i think the heat do because this was my point
10:45with the kevin durant thing britney when the miami heat didn't want to go in on kevin durant
10:50who by the way you know still hitting game winning shots still awesome kevin durant but my whole thing
10:57with not going after kevin durant was as nice as norm powell has been and he's been nice you couldn't
11:03ask for a better addition than norm but if you weren't gonna add durant to bam and tyler and think
11:12that was going to be any kind of good in this east which is very muttered and which is very annoying
11:17because the celtics who cast everybody off are the two seed right now and and knocking on the door
11:23being the top seed and you're sitting here being like still years are these guys are these guys the
11:30guys like when are you gonna make a choice and that's been my whole thing is like this has been
11:34a nice season there's been nice moments there's been fun stuff most of it has been from the young
11:39guys are the new guys most of it has been hey norman powell's been awesome most of it has been
11:44kalal where it looks like an all-world talent most of it has been hey nico starting to figure it out
11:48hey yaka chonis had a nice game but the guys who have been here you know like there's been a few a
11:55couple of bam games for sure bam still does winning things all right and then tyler hasn't played and
12:00these have been things like bam out of bio not being aggressive enough on offense and tyler hero's
12:06availability and role on the team are so played out in heat fans minds as topics to talk about
12:13we're tired of it dude it's annoying i'm sure they're annoyed by it we're annoyed by it okay
12:20nice guys great dudes very talented players but i am so tired about wondering whether bam's gonna flip
12:29the switch to be a guy who can carry offensively night to night seems like the answer is a resounding
12:34no doesn't mean it can't be valuable to a team but it's a lot of value when you're paying them
12:40that kind of dough and coinciding with that tyler hero who wanted to get oh it's just gonna be less
12:46expensive 50 million a year then we can negotiate it well now it's like dude i would you even extend
12:51this person like he can't stay on the court i don't think you can i i he does and he's not gonna
12:57stay if he doesn't get his extension i think he's made that very loud and clear by his demeanor
13:02and basically directly as well and you can't be naive and we can't be naive and sit here and say
13:09like the same temperature that spo has for tyler hero is the same temperature as he has for bam out
13:15of bio he does not speak ill of bam out of bio even if bam has a terrible game it's always oh he does
13:20things that nobody yeah if you don't if you have a basketball mind and this is that in the third
13:25you won't understand the value of bam out of bio the on the court so i don't think bam's going
13:30anywhere the person that is in the massive question right now is tyler people get me mad
13:36at bam all they want it's it's to me pat riley nor spo are gonna get rid of him crimson says bam
13:41is mr perfect no there's a little bit of that he's a little bit of the heat teachers pat he is um
13:46buddy look i do think there there there is i think the reason he gets more reprieve on that
13:52is because he does all of them all the things that spo really values as a coach like look he's been
13:58the coach now for 18 years he finally just got with the the offense for the first time since like
14:02the big three of changing things around to to finally put some juice into it he's a defensive
14:07coach comes through pat riley comes at the knee of pat riley and the the anchor for all of that is bam
14:13out of bio that is what has made it tick you're not gonna you're not gonna ask a guy for five years
14:19to to go bang with people who are way too you know who are probably way too big for him but on on the
14:24other side of that look if bam wants to be going against threes and fours and not fives anymore
14:29then you got to start scoring like one of them you can't sit here and be like oh well i'm
14:35one of the like you're either you're either one of the best big men centers or you're not and for
14:41tyler's standpoint like to be honest with you dude like there's nothing to mope about right now
14:46you have played seven games and is the team like excellent to just forget about you
14:52no but you're they're also not terrible and and like they're trying to get on some kind of a run
14:59here um and they just can't count on your health it's been that's the truth of it they've never been
15:05able to count on your health it's the it's a frustrating thing but even jimmy's last full year
15:10couldn't count on his health the only year that you were healthy was the year where all the jimmy
15:14stuff was going to hell but when they were in the midst of not getting dame and you were not here
15:18after the dame rumors hurt that year made it a finals run hurt that year made an eastern commons
15:25finals run weren't ready till game seven and you weren't even able to play in that game so i i mean
15:32like the moodiness is frustrating but i think for the most part the fans are just tired of these two
15:38and being played with the same questions all the time we get it and so the heat have to decide
15:44with this team what are the pieces they really believe in and what's going to get you guys back
15:51to being a real contender this is nice there is respect in what you guys have been doing for sure
15:56you've never packed it in but you're spinning your wheels here man and this was my point with the
16:02kevin durant thing you didn't want to go and make a balls move to add to tyler and bam why because i
16:07don't think you guys really believe in him either well i think that's the thing i i think as soon as
16:11you don't give tyler the the extension after last season you just say okay well we're going to go
16:16renegotiate your contract at the end of this season that's you basically saying that you no matter what
16:22he proved to you last season it's still not good enough and do you think i personally think that
16:28tyler hero's ceiling was what we saw from him last season so if the heat didn't feel confident
16:33enough to give him a contract after that what makes you think that after this season where you've
16:36played seven games and you're you have this you know mood about you that you're going to get that
16:43ask him ask him third game since you've played off the bench since you won the six-man award
16:48obviously it's a little different what was that adjustment like uh it's cool it's uh not really an
16:56adjustment just playing basketball and is that something that if coach wants to keep things
17:01copacetic the way they are you'll just move forward through if he wants to keep things the way they
17:05are before you came back or is it something you're pushing for him ask him

17:34that's how the season has gone they show you flashes of it but
17:39ultimately he's gonna come out he's gonna hit six threes against the bulls
17:44you know and and and everyone's really see and then you know he'll do it and then they'll hit five
17:49threes against and norman him will be splash brothers against the terrible pacers and then the thunder
17:53will be there and they'll have an amazing first quarter and then and then chet holmgren will you
17:59know dunk on bam's head and you know lou dort will stuff tyler hero in a locker
18:05it'll be like we'll do this whole thing again on monday at least the canes will be in the national
