00:00I love her music and it's definitely an influence on Harriet with the softer songs that we have and the
00:07softer sections that we do.
00:10Yeah, she's definitely a point of inspiration for us with songwriting. I love that woman.
00:21My first pick for my favourite singer would be Greg from Dillinger.
00:26His range is unbelievable. On every one of his projects you can tell that it's him instantly.
00:33I love his cleans, I love the horrible agro, disgusting screams that he does.
00:43Milk Lizard was definitely one of the first songs that I grasped onto by Dillinger.
00:49Later on, Limerent Death became one of my favourite songs ever.
00:57The build-up and the ending is just amazing and he just goes so feral. So yeah, that got me
01:03hooked.
01:04I think they're an influence in terms of the aggression behind it and perhaps the emotion behind it.
01:13Definitely a huge inspiration of mine vocally, although I'm obviously nowhere near his talents.
01:19But yeah, definitely really, really, really admire his work, yeah.
01:24My second pick would be Becca from Marmosettes.
01:29Forever, she's just been a singer who I would love to sound like.
01:33I think her range as well is just incredible.
01:37I don't think that she's a singer who you could really replicate as well.
01:49Flawless, she does beautiful cleans, horrible but amazing screams as well.
01:59They have a song called One Man Wolfpack, which is really, really like the far end of the math scale.
02:07The Weird and Wonderful was where I really, really got into them.
02:11I think that album's amazing.
02:13It's a really versatile album.
02:15Mood-wise there's lots of different moods on that album with the different tracks.
02:19Yeah, it's definitely one that I go back to.
02:21Our band's maybe quite far apart musically, but we get on with them really, really well.
02:29I did a track with them on their last album called DC Mini.
02:33And yeah, we had a blast touring with them and we're going to hang out with them this weekend as
02:38well.
02:38So it was a really happy tour.
02:41My third favourite vocalist is Hayley Williams from Paramore.
02:46I'm sorry that it's not heading all down the metal route, but she is one of my favourite vocalists.
02:57She's undeniably one of the most talented singers in this space.
03:03I've never seen a bad show from her.
03:06She's such an icon within this world, you know.
03:09Everybody looks up to her in some capacity, I feel anyway.
03:13I really, really, really enjoyed her solo record.
03:23Number four would be Lucas Woodland from Hold In Absence.
03:28Again, they're not really a metal genre band, but I think Lucas is just a phenomenal vocalist.
03:45I think he's got a real tear-jerking voice as well when he hits the high notes. His rasp is
03:51incredible.
04:01When he hits the high notes, honestly, are well up because it's just, it's amazing that somebody can be that
04:07on pitch with that much power and that much emotion.
04:11I think he's wicked. And I'm just so, so excited to see, you know, the progression in his career and
04:18how influential he is going to be as a vocalist for years to come.
04:23Sorry again, but it's going to be Billie Eilish. Sorry for the male heads, but I'm just telling the truth
04:28here.
04:29I think she's amazing. I think she's got such a dreamy voice.
04:40I really like how she plays around with vocal production as well.
04:49Her song Goldwing was almost a reference point, I guess, or sparkly inspiration for the track Visage on our album.
05:07I really, really, really liked the intro with all the vocal layering. I thought, oh, that would be cool to
05:14kind of try and apply to a metal context.
05:17Might not translate in that way now that the track's finished, but that was at least the initial idea.
05:23I love her music and it's definitely an influence on Harriet with the softer songs that we have and the
05:31softer sections that we do.
05:33Yeah, she's definitely a point of inspiration for us with songwriting.
05:38I love that woman. I think she's amazing.
05:41Here we go.
05:43.
