00:14Edmund Teo, 40, is accused of deceiving Koch into believing that only two schools in her constituency
00:20applied for interactive smart board funding when in fact 16 schools had submitted applications.
00:25He is alleged to have induced Koch to allow him to process the applications through the
00:30MyHaas system under the Mastrarat Yad program.
00:34Teo is also charged with receiving RM500,000 from Ainuddin Aminuddin, 36, as an inducement
00:39to help secure smart board supply contracts for 16 schools in Subuteh through TMTIT Solutions,
00:45a company owned by Ainuddin's wife.
00:48The charge was framed under Section 16A sub A of the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission
00:52Act 2009, punishable under Section 24 sub 1, which carries up to 20 years jail and a fine
00:59of at least five times the bribe amount, or RM10,000, whichever is higher.
01:04Teo pleaded not guilty to both charges before Judge Susanna Hussin.
