00:00A former officer to Sapute MP Teresa Koch will be charged tomorrow with corruption involving a project in the constituency.
00:10Berita Harian quoted a source as saying the former aide would be charged in the Kuala Lumpur Sessions Court.
00:16In March 2025, one of Koch's former officers was nabbed by the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission
00:23over allegations he had solicited and accepted a RM500,000 bribe.
00:30MACC sources had said the bribe was for helping to approve an application for RM1.5 million in funding for
00:38the supply of interactive smart boards to several schools in Kuala Lumpur.
00:43Two of Koch's former officers, Edmund Teo and Ng Yut Kuen, were among 18 people who gave statements to MACC
00:52to assist in the investigation.
00:54Teo had denied soliciting and accepting a bribe, claiming that the allegations were politically motivated and baseless.
