00:01A 43-year-old man was charged in the Sessions Court in Sungai Pettani on Thursday with causing injuries to
00:08his wife using various objects in incidents that took place in March and April.
00:14Rosmaini Abdul Rauf pleaded not guilty after both charges were read before Judge Najwa Chemat.
00:20On the first count, he is accused of intentionally causing grievous hurt to his wife, Nurfitri Mokhtar, 39, using a
00:29plastic chair and a rubber hose at a house in Bandar Amanjaya at about 5pm on March 29.
00:36On the second count, he is accused of again assaulting the same victim at the same location at about 9am
00:43on April 23, this time using a clothes hanger and an iron hanger.
00:48He is charged under Section 326 of the Penal Code, which provides for a maximum prison term of 20 years,
