Deadly suspicion: Man charged with wife’s murder in Kelantan

A 63-year-old man was charged in the Magistrate’s Court in Tanah Merah on Wednesday (Dec 10) with the murder of his wife last week. 00:19Ibrahim is accused of murdering 40-year-old Mastura Abdullah at their home in Kampung

00:25Paku, Gwalipo, between 9.30 a.m. and 12.15 p.m. on December 1.

00:31He was charged under Section 302 of the Penal Code, which carries severe penalties, either

00:37the death penalty or imprisonment for 30 to 40 years, along with not fewer than 12 strokes

00:43of the cane.

00:44The Court set February 12 for the next mention of this case.

00:48According to police reports, the victim died after being stabbed twice in the back.

00:52Calantan Police Chief Datuk Muhammad Yusof Mamat revealed that the victim had an argument

00:58with her husband, who suspected she had a lover before the fatal attack.
