02:11I am trapped.
02:12The door is stuck shut.
02:13She's trapped inside the car wash, and she can't get out.
02:20Now, Inside Edition with Eva Pilgrim.
02:24Hello, and thanks for joining us.
02:25It's now been four days and still no sign of Savannah Guthrie's mother.
02:30Cops say she was forcibly removed from her home.
02:33Now, reports of a ransom note.
02:35But is it real?
02:36We do know investigators are taking it serious, showing it to Savannah.
02:41Jim Murray is in Tucson with the latest.
02:44Is it real or a cruel hoax?
02:46Cops are working to trace the source of the ransom note,
02:49demanding millions of dollars in Bitcoin for the return of Savannah Guthrie's mom.
02:54The email was sent to a local TV station here in Tucson
02:57and was quickly turned over to the sheriffs.
02:59It reportedly detailed what Nancy Guthrie was wearing when she was kidnapped
03:03and contained specific information about the interior of the house.
03:06The sheriff showed the letter to Savannah Guthrie and her siblings
03:09to get their take on whether it was authentic.
03:12We'll research it.
03:13We'll dig into it.
03:14We'll see where it came from.
03:15Try to learn as much as we can about it.
03:17Sheriff Chris Nonas tells me if the note is a hoax,
03:20whoever is involved is in big trouble.
03:23In their mind, they might think it's funny.
03:25It is far from funny.
03:26They may think that this is an opportunity.
03:29It is not an opportunity.
03:31Look, we will look at this note.
03:33We will track it down.
03:34If we find out you're the one who sent it, you are going to be arrested.
03:40Criminologist Dr. Casey Jordan believes the kidnapper's motive
03:44may have something to do with Savannah herself.
03:46They are going to be looking at anyone who has a beef, a grudge against the family,
03:52specifically Savannah Guthrie.
03:54And that is going to be an ocean of investigation because she is a public figure.
03:59Maybe it's somebody who is obsessed with her and has seen Nancy with her on television.
04:04She also says more than one kidnapper may be involved.
04:07Meanwhile, authorities are shooting down a shocking report by TV journalist Ashley Banfield
04:12that investigators may be focusing on a family member, Savannah Guthrie's brother-in-law, Tommaso Sione.
04:18Families are always looked at first as well.
04:20But the Sheriff's Department says in a statement, detectives have not identified a suspect or person of interest in this case.
04:27Sharing unverified accusations or false information is irresponsible and does not assist the investigation.
04:34Tommaso Sione is married to Savannah's sister, Annie.
04:37He plays in a rock band and teaches sixth grade.
04:41According to the New York Times, Sione dropped Nancy Guthrie off at her home last Saturday night
04:46and ensured she made it safely inside before leaving.
04:50He was the last family member to see her before she was abducted.
05:01Savannah and other family members are staying in this house in Tucson guarded by private security.
05:06Savannah and her family are making an appeal to the kidnapper to drop their mom off, no questions asked.
05:13The quote is, whomever has her could drop her off at any fire station, any hospital, any grocery store,
05:19and there would be no questions asked.
05:21And the White House tells Inside Edition that President Trump has reached out to Savannah.
05:26President Trump called and spoke with Savannah Guthrie today.
05:29The call followed Trump expressing sympathy for the Today Show host.
05:33I think it's a terrible thing. I always get along very good with Savannah. Very unusual situation.
05:39More than a hundred detectives are on the case later.
05:43We'll have a look at what many are now doing to keep their parents safe.
05:47On Super Bowl Sunday, it will be all hands on deck to keep the more than 70,000 fans safe inside Levi's Stadium.
05:54And that includes creating a dome of security from the air.
05:58Here's Allison Hall.
06:00I boarded a chopper and headed high in the sky with officers keeping the Super Bowl safe.
06:07I'm getting a bird's eye view of Levi's Stadium in a helicopter with air marine operations.
06:13On game day, there will be a 10-mile no-fly zone over this entire area.
06:19And Black Hawk and A-Star helicopters will be patrolling, looking for any suspicious activity.
06:25That includes drones. The FAA and FBI have declared the stadium a no-drone zone.
06:32The Coast Guard will also be watching over the game from the sea.
06:36They're going to be patrolling the waterfront on a daily basis, 24 hours a day.
06:40For the entire week, they actually started patrolling as early as last Monday.
06:43Bomb-sniffing dogs will be on patrol. This canine's vest warns, do not pet.
06:49They're gorgeous dogs. They look friendly, but I would encourage folks not to pet them. They're here for our safety.
06:55Security is extra tight.
06:57More than 50 federal, state, and local law enforcement organizations will be on hand,
07:03including every single officer on the San Francisco Police Force.
07:07There will also be law enforcement snipers perched on rooftops.
07:11Metal barricades surround the convention center.
07:14Everyone must be screened with airport-style security.
07:17Inside, our special Super Bowl correspondent, the queen of Bama Rush herself, Kylan Darnell,
07:23took time to shop for gifts to bring home to her family.
07:26I need, like, the biggest-sized hat possible. My dad has a huge head.
07:30And, of course, herself.
07:32Sparkles, are you kidding me? They know me. I love this.
07:36She picked this varsity jacket.
07:38I'm definitely wearing this to the Super Bowl. It's perfect for me. So cute.
07:43And the San Francisco Police Department wasn't kidding about all hands on deck canceling any vacation days.
07:49Every officer is working.
07:52It's a heartbreaking Uber shooting.
07:54An 81-year-old man shoots and kills a female Uber driver after they had both fallen victim to a phone scam.
08:01The elderly suspect in court for sentencing.
08:05Steven Fabian has the latest.
08:08An elderly man learns he'll be spending the rest of his life in prison after being convicted in the fatal shooting of an innocent Uber driver.
08:15The defendant's indefinite prison term is 21 years to life in prison.
08:20Terrifying video from the Uber driver's dash cam captured the horrible killing two years ago.
08:26You can see 81-year-old William Brock pointing a gun at the driver.
08:30He had just shot her in the leg.
08:33The Uber driver, Lolita Hall, was frantically trying to explain that she was there to pick up a package.
08:38But Brock shot her two more times, killing her.
08:42Brock told police that a scammer had called him threatening his family and told him that a female driver would be coming by to pick up the money.
08:50At the same time, the Uber driver was ordered by the scammer to Brock's house to pick up a package.
08:56Police say the Uber driver was completely unaware of the scheme.
09:00At his trial in Ohio, the defendant watched dash cam footage that showed him holding the Uber driver at gunpoint, then opening fire.
09:08Did she say, yeah, I'm gonna go?
09:10She didn't know.
09:12She never threatens you, but she hasn't.
09:14Right?
09:15No.
09:16I'm asking you what actually happened.
09:18I'm telling you, I was in the state of the shop. I don't remember.
09:21Lolita Hall's son spoke at the elderly man's sentencing.
09:25She was my mother, first and foremost.
09:30But she was also my best friend.
09:32She didn't get to grow old like William Brock.
09:35Instead, she was murdered.
09:39The prosecutor said there are no winners because both families have lost loved ones.
09:45She went to get her car washed and ended up trapped.
09:49The woman having a panic attack after realizing there was no one to let her out.
09:54Les Trent tells us what happened.
09:57She's trapped in a car wash.
09:59I am trapped.
10:00Like, I still have soap and everything all over this car.
10:04All the doors are closed.
10:06It's a fully automated car wash.
10:08Yep, that means there are no workers to let her out.
10:11I'm pushing the emergency button.
10:14Door is not opening.
10:16I cannot get out.
10:17Can someone let me out?
10:20Felicia Sullivan didn't know what to do and gave a play-by-play of her ordeal in the car wash in Waynesboro, Pennsylvania.
10:29Felicia had just left work because she had a stomach flu.
10:32She had hoped to head straight home, but she got sick to her stomach.
10:37And let's just say she felt obligated to stop at the car wash to clean her car.
10:42I was fighting time before I started getting sick again.
10:46Oh, wow.
10:47So it didn't help that she found herself locked inside the car wash.
10:52I've been trapped in here for about 20 minutes now.
10:55Nothing.
10:57I've tried, you know, hello.
11:00I've been in here going on 30 minutes now.
11:02Doors will not open.
11:03How long were you stuck inside?
11:0557 minutes.
11:0757 minutes?
11:09Yes.
11:10At last, Felicia sees shadows of feet under the door.
11:14She's finally rescued.
11:16Would you ever go through that bay again?
11:18Never.
11:19I will not go through that bay again.
11:21I'll stick to the outside where you spray it yourself.
11:26While the car wash felt so bad, they gave Felicia a stack of coupons for free washes.
11:31Speaking of car washes, check this out.
11:34The car ended up getting an unplanned cleaning when it swerved to avoid a collision and crashed into a fire hydrant.
11:42The water pressure was so strong.
11:44That's what's literally holding the car up in the air.
11:47This happened in Los Angeles.
11:48Luckily, the driver was not hurt.
11:51Fireworks in the Oval Office.
11:53President Trump lashed out at a CNN reporter complaining that she never smiles.
11:58Now that reporter is hitting back.
12:01What do you say to the survivors who feel like they haven't gotten justice?
12:04You are the worst reporter.
12:05President Trump lashes out at CNN anchor Caitlin Collins as she peppers him with uncomfortable questions about Jeffrey Epstein.
12:13Did you read those new files that were published by the Department of Justice?
12:16She stares him down as he tears into her.
12:20She's a young woman.
12:21I don't think I've ever seen you smile.
12:23I've known you for 10 years.
12:25I don't think I've ever seen a smile.
12:27I'm asking you about survivors.
12:28You know why?
12:29You know why you're not smiling?
12:30Because you know you're not telling the truth.
12:32Even when the press conference is over, he can't let it go.
12:35Thank you, press.
12:36Thank you, press.
12:37Let's go.
12:38Start moving.
12:40Let's go.
12:41The blow up is sparking plenty of reaction today.
12:44I'm trying to think of a worse time to tell a woman to smile more than when that person is a reporter asking about the Epstein victims.
12:50I can't.
12:51She keeps her cool.
12:52I mean, I've been attacked by the president, never face to face.
12:55And it's rattling.
12:56She manages to just power through and keep asking tough questions.
12:59So I admire her for that.
13:00On her CNN show last night, Collins told her audience the Epstein scandal is nothing to smile about.
13:06We've had so many survivors here on the show.
13:08We've spoken to so many of them.
13:09They have been so candid and honest about things that they don't want to talk about, frankly, and relive.
13:16No.
13:17No.
13:18I mean, that's what I was keeping in mind.
13:19And just to prove the president wrong, she wrapped up her show with a wry smile.
13:24A mouth drop at Westminster dog show as a Doberman won best in show for the first time in years.
13:32But there was also an emotional moment as actress Catherine O'Hara was remembered for her connection to the iconic dog competition.
13:40A touching moment at the Westminster dog show, a tribute to Catherine O'Hara with her iconic movies playing on the Jumbotron inside Madison Square Garden.
13:53Legendary performer recently lost.
13:55The actress, who died last week after a short illness at 71, starred in the mockumentary Best in Show, playing a quirky dog owner.
14:05God loves a Terrier.
14:09Competing at Westminster with Winky, her beloved Norwich Terrier.
14:14Oh, God, are you all right?
14:17As a Norwich Terrier took to the floor last night, came this shout out for the beloved star.
14:23I'm thinking of Catherine O'Hara, who passed away last Friday at the age of 71, starring in that great film.
14:28As for last night's Best in Show, the winner was a big surprise.
14:32For Best in Show at the 150th Westminster Kennel Club dog show is the Doberman Pinscher.
14:39You heard right. For the first time in 37 years, a Doberman took home the grand prize.
14:46Meet Penny, a four-year-old from California.
14:49Inside Edition got up close with the big winner as she chomped down on a well-deserved chicken dish at a swanky New York restaurant.
14:58The Doberman Pinscher is sometimes very misunderstood to be a dog that's like a guard dog or an attack dog,
15:03but they're actually wonderful family pets. Very loyal.
15:06Doberman Pinscher.
15:09There's no cash prize for winning Best in Show, but there are, of course, those bragging rights.
15:15Next, is your mom safe?
15:17How to make sure your elderly parents are safe at home.
15:2124-hour security cameras.
15:23A lot of people can have alarms and cameras, but they don't turn them on.
15:28And self-defense classes for old folks.
15:31And here.
15:32Right to the face.
15:33Right to the face.
15:34The new movie about the doomed love story of JFK Jr. and Carolyn Bessette.
15:40Carolyn, this is John Kennedy.
15:42He's a dead ringer for the Prince of Camelot.
15:45Inside Edition with Eva Pilgrim.
15:49Even on an antidepressant, I was masking my depression.
15:56I felt I was missing out on the moments around me.
15:59So, my doctor prescribed Rexalti.
16:01When added to an antidepressant, Rexalti was proven to significantly reduce depression symptoms more than an antidepressant alone.
16:07She said Rexalti could provide a boost.
16:10For me, less depression meant enjoying the little things.
16:13Elderly people with dementia-related psychosis have increased risk of death or stroke.
16:17Antidepressants may increase suicidal thoughts and actions and worsen depression in children and young adults.
16:22Call your healthcare provider right away to report new or sudden changes in mood, behavior, thoughts, or feelings.
16:27Or if you develop suicidal thoughts or actions.

16:33Or uncontrolled muscle movements, which may be permanent.
16:35High blood sugar can lead to coma or death.
16:37Weight gain, increased cholesterol, unusual urges, dizziness on standing, falls, seizures, trouble swallowing, or sleepiness may occur.
16:45Could a boost help you build on your progress?
16:48Ask your doctor about adding Rexalti.
16:51Jen loved her Gain Hibiscus Hula Flames.

17:55The kidnapping of Savannah Guthrie's mother has hit a nerve across the country.
18:00Millions now asking themselves, is my mother safe?
18:03Here's Steven Fabian.
18:05The apparent kidnapping of Savannah Guthrie's mother is turning attention to the safety of elderly parents who live alone.
18:12Senior citizens are especially vulnerable to break-ins and other criminal acts.
18:17But experts say there are certain things that should be in place to add an extra layer of security to their homes.
18:24Kathleen Gallagher is a safety expert known as the Safety Chick.
18:28She says the first thing to do is check out the perimeter of your home.
18:32Motion sensor lights and gates and things that keep intruders out.
18:36In addition, you want to have great locks and bolts on your doors.
18:41She says elderly folks with alarm systems often make a big security mistake.
18:46It's so frustrating because a lot of people can have alarms and cameras, but they don't turn them on.
18:52They are the barrier between you and the bad guys.
18:56Guy Cohen's company recently installed several devices in an elderly woman's house in L.A., including an early detection system.
19:03Essentially, when the burglar walks in, they cross in front of the field of view and then it activates the outdoor alarm.
19:10So here you have windows that are treated with film and screens and here is a security screen that will protect the glass.
19:19Another idea, consider keeping a weapon in the house.
19:22The Safety Chick says a taser is an option.
19:25If someone comes into your door, you hit the button, it shoots the two wires and it drops them.
19:31It renders them incapacitated.
19:34You can then run and get away from them.
19:37A finger in the eye is extremely painful.
19:41And you're never too old to learn how to defend yourself.
19:44This is a seniors-only self-defense class at the Henry Street Settlement in New York City.
19:50How do you feel learning some of these techniques to protect yourself?
19:52Well, it makes me feel a lot safer.
19:57It's estimated more than 11 million women aged 65 and older live alone.
20:03When we come back, bringing JFK Jr. and Carolyn Bessette's tragic love story to life.
