A principal assistant director of a Putrajaya Agriculture Department division pleaded not guilty in the Sessions Court in Kuala Lumpur on Tuesday (May 5) to 11 charges of receiving RM56,200 from two company directors connected with his official duties, three years ago.

00:09Court on Tuesday to 11 charges of receiving 56,200 ringgit from two company directors linked to his official duties.
00:1748-year-old Muhammad Nizam Malik was accused of receiving 25,700 ringgit from Zainal Muhammad Nazri, the chairman of
00:27Kooperasi Usahawan Alam Shah Berhad, via online transfer.
00:30The accused was also charged with nine further counts of receiving 30,500 ringgit from Shih's Muhammad Muhammad Qasim, a
00:40director of Orkidmas Sendirian Berhad, through an intermediary, despite knowing both individuals were linked to his official duties.
00:47The offences were allegedly committed at a bank and in an area in Precinct 14, Putrajaya, between June 8, 2023
00:56and March 5, 2025.
00:59The court allowed the accused to be released on a 13,000 ringgit bail for all charges, with conditions that
01:06he does not interfere with prosecution witnesses.
01:09He is also required to report to the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission Office once a month and surrender his passport
01:16to the court.
