00:00Harry, back to back to back, three successive promotions and what a way to...
00:05I can breathe now, I can breathe!
00:06What a way, 5-1 against Gloucester, playoff final, let's say they're pressure games.
00:10They're pressure games, yeah.
00:11Blew them away.
00:12I mean look, there's no hiding from the fact we've got some big, big characters, some brilliant players
00:17and I think you've got to really hope that lots of your big players step up to the occasions.
00:23We won the Surrey Cup, we were fantastic I thought on Wednesday night, came through a very tough test
00:29and we were due a game like today where we just obliterated a team and unfortunately for Gloucester
00:36who are a very good team and a fantastic setup and I really like everybody to do a Gloucester,
00:40I thought the fans were fantastic today, we were just better than them today and our big players turned up
00:46and we'll get a lot of stick for lots of different things but to do back to back to back
00:52isn't about anything
00:54other than boys who give everything every single week and a club that's pulled together
00:59and a town that's come together around an amazing football club and I'm very, very privileged to be a part
01:04of that.
01:05So many big performances today throughout but Owen Dean, someone who's come through with the club,
01:11come through the leagues and he was on fire out there today.
01:14Owen was fantastic, Jack Dean was fantastic, come through the leagues as well.
01:18I thought Cooksey was phenomenal in midfield, huge shout out to Ryan, Skipper at the back, Mike was brilliant
01:26but you know, Billy Clifford's got a hat-trick off the bench, Bobby Joe Taylor scored from 30 yards,
01:32Daryl Sanders has sorted in a penalty after 30 seconds of waiting for everybody else to calm down,
01:38calmest man in the room and yeah, we're a very, very special group of people
01:45and I mean that, you know, across the supporters, the backroom team and on the pitch
01:50and special people make special things happen and that's what we've done today.
01:54Bobby Joe came in from Dorking this summer, I just chatted with him and he was very quick to talk
01:58about
01:58everyone at the club, not just players, everyone at the club all play their part
02:02and that's what makes it special. You agree, obviously?
02:06Yeah, it's a very, very special club, lots of special people and it's difficult to put on events like this.
02:12We put on an event like this with four days' notice and the town turned up for it, sold out
02:18in 12 and a half hours.
02:21Yeah, I just, you know, I didn't think this would happen this year, I really didn't.
02:27It's an incredible feat to go back-to-back, to go back-to-back-to-back.
02:32I mean, you just don't do it. Let's not kid ourselves, football clubs do not go three divisions on the
02:38chart
02:38and if they do, they're special football clubs and this is a special football club.
02:42The first one, Combined Counties, obviously very much, you know, very heavy favourites.
02:45Even last season, still pretty fancy.
02:48This year, fancy maybe to, you know, top half be around the playoffs
02:52but ahead of schedule, you know, second place, 84 points and then smash it in the final.
02:57It's just stepped up again, hasn't it?
02:59I've got some planning to do.
03:00I think that's where I stand right now.
03:03I've got a busy week ahead of me.
03:05I need to give a huge amount of credit to Paul Johnson and his management team.
03:08They continue to deliver and, yeah, I'm very proud of everybody today.
03:13Yeah, busy but in a good way. That's what you want, isn't it?
03:16Billy Clifford comes in from Farnborough and on the big day, he comes off the bench
03:19and a classy hat-trick, really composed.
03:22Fantastic footballer.
03:23Very, very, very, very privileged to have players like that in our team
03:29that want to be a part of the team and you saw what it meant to him and to Bobby.
03:33You know, these boys have been involved in huge moments at football league level.
03:39It doesn't matter what level you're at.
03:41This is what you're doing for.
03:43Moments like that and 5-1 in a playoff final.
03:46I mean, how often does that happen?
03:48Very rarely.
03:49When you started, you know, it was all about creating something for the town,
03:52giving people moments, memories.
03:54Have I delivered?
03:56Have I delivered?
03:57There's been so many, haven't there?
03:58There has been, there's been so many and, yeah, what a great feeling.
04:05And I just said to a few kids, they're probably 8, 10 years old,
04:09and I said, you will remember today for a long, long time.
04:12A long, long time.
04:13I remember my first football games when I was that sort of age
04:17and, you know, I'm having my first baby boy this summer
04:23and that's obviously going to change a lot of things for me
04:25and Frank's doing the same.
04:28And I just looked at those kids in the eye and said,
04:30you will remember this for a long, long time.
04:32Because these are moments that are very, very special.
04:34But also, let's not kid ourselves, we've been very lucky,
04:37but these moments are very, very rare.
04:39There's players, there's very seasoned people
04:41that go through football that never experienced days like this.
04:43We've had three on the trot and cut wins.
04:46Incredible.
04:47Yeah, and, you know, memories for people to have, you know,
04:49with their families, you know, kids and parents and, you know,
04:52all of that.
04:53And, you know, under 12 hours, another sellout, you know,
04:56the momentum, the support, it just, just keep rolling with it, really.
04:59Yeah, I have to give credit to Gloucester as well there.
05:02They played their part.
05:03And we could have sold this ground out twice over, I think.
05:06I mean, the amount of people that are looking for tickets
05:08in the town today was insane.
05:11Pubs showing the game.
05:13I think three of them showed the game.
05:14But, yeah, amazing.
