00:08We won, I think that's about as good as the night got, it was a really poor game.

00:22It's obviously a really gruelling run of fixtures isn't it?
00:25That does obviously play a part, but finals are about getting over the line and you've managed to do that,

00:31Yeah, you normally find finals are normally a great encounter.
00:35It's about moments and semi-finals are normally the better games, which seems to be the case.
00:40But yeah, we found a way and again, massive credit to the boys.
00:45They keep finding a way at the minute and I plan to take my hats off to them.

01:36Is that sort of something maybe sort of trying to almost have in the grief at the moment really, isn't

01:41Without a doubt.
01:42You know, we spoke before and the schedule that they've had and massive credit to them.
01:48And, you know, this is now the last 12, 13 days where they've got to stick together and they've got
01:53to demand everything they can out of each other.
01:55Because it makes it break your season, you know, with one down and we've got one to go.
01:59Yeah, we say one down, one to go.
02:00And you say, you know, all that hard work over a long season, it all does come down to these
02:05sort of last two weeks, doesn't it?
02:06It does, especially the way the boys have performed for large parts of the season.
02:10Free playing, scoring goals and now having to find a different way.
02:14You know, I think now they're frustrated because they want to play a lot better and in a different style.
02:20But it is what it is. And yeah, we've just got to keep ticking them off.
02:23Yeah, I mean, they've shown throughout the season sort of great football and they can play.
02:27But it's kind of needs muscle in so many games, really, isn't it?
02:29You just got to find a way.
02:30Yeah, it is. It's a different armour in the locker.
02:34And they're showing it in abundance.
02:36And like I repeat again, you know, I can't be proud of them at the minute.
02:39And Mersom obviously made it difficult, but, you know, no panic falling behind.
02:43And he got the moment from the corner, Billy Clifford's delivery and Jack Dean.

02:47Yeah, yeah, I thought we started the game alright, not too bad.
02:51And then they got a foot older the first half and were dominant and took the lead.
02:57Like, Billy deserved to take the lead.
02:59But yeah, we shuffled it around after I made a sub, changed formation.
03:03And I thought with large parts of the half, you know, we were in control of it.
03:06They were just trying to sit back on their goal.
03:09And you put crosses in the box and something's going to fall.
03:12And yeah, it did.
03:13Yeah, Seb Barman sort of coming on.
03:14Jack Dean goes sort of back out to the right and Tom Leggett sort of drops back, doesn't he?
03:17So you just sort of shuffled it around a bit, didn't you?
03:19Yeah, we shuffled it about.
03:20We thought he was so congested in there.
03:22We wanted whip.
03:23And so we put Seb out there and Bob out the other side and tried to push our fall back
03:27to double up.
03:28And yeah, I thought it worked quite well.
03:31Ten minutes of added time.
03:32Because Mersom, you know, well, it's kind of part of the game, isn't it?
03:34They sort of were running it down, weren't they, quite effectively, weren't they?
03:37Yeah, you know, fair play to them.
03:40The way they did it, you know, I think they were looking for penalties.
03:43Unless it was genuine.
03:45If it was, you know, again, massive credit to our boys.

03:48It's a hundred minutes tonight.
03:50And yeah, you know, it looked like we was going to be the team that scored.
03:54But I think they had the best chance to win it.
03:56Penalties, you know, semi-final against Sutton last week and final again this week.
04:00You know, five really good penalties.
04:02And Michael Eco obviously making the winning save.
04:03That's, you know, really good composure.
04:05And penalties are moments and composure, aren't they?
04:08They are, yeah.
04:09And again, we had, you know, seven or eight that wanted to take them tonight.
04:12So I had full backing of who was taking them.
04:16And with Mike in goal, you know, there's always a saving there.
04:19And it was funny, that fifth one, you know, sort of, we knew we sort of won it when it
04:23went in.
04:24Because they didn't have a penalty taker that wanted to take it.
04:26They were sort of pushing each other forward.
04:28And yeah, that sort of won the tie.
04:30And obviously, you know, a nice moment, isn't it?
04:32You know, a nice victory.
04:33And that gives everyone a boost, obviously, going into sort of the final game of the playoffs.
04:37It does, you know.
04:38That's why we, you know, play football.
04:39It's about trophies.
04:40Whether it's the Surrey Cup or the Aldershot Cup, you know, it's a prestigious competition.
04:45And it's one that we've now got in the cabinet.
04:47Yeah.
04:47So another one to add to the locker.
04:48And obviously, the hopes of, you know, player success down the line, isn't it?
04:51Yeah, without a doubt, yeah.
04:53And obviously, you know, how you say, another coach trip to getting used to them to Tiverton
04:57on Saturday.
04:58And obviously, you know, you know the three points there.

05:04But yeah, we'll go there and try and, you know, get the three points and recover the
05:08best we can for Wednesday.
