00:00Set up for success with a little SportsCenter. It's Trevor and Nicole.
00:03They are not setting up for the offseason. Not yet in Houston.
00:07Plus, Bibbidi-Bobbidi did what?
00:08Well, Kate Cunningham decided to lose his mind just like him.
00:12By the way, Flyers still flying high. SportsCenter, let's look alive, y'all.
00:17At this point last year, I was in Miami. That was a thing.
00:22Also, Katy Perry was launched into space.
00:25Oh, and the Rockies, they were trashed. Like, they were the trashiest of trash in 2025.
00:30And this was the year after the White Sox set records for badness.
00:342025 was when the Rockies were like, you want to see bad? Hold my beer.
00:37It took them 68 games to get their 13th win. That was in June.
00:41Win 14 came June 15th. But a little like, it was Miami dreams of mine.
00:46Not everything lasts forever. Not even the awful Rockies.
00:51Hey, it's me, Nicole, flying solo.
00:53So, again, the Timber Pups, they're moving on.
00:56Next up, it's Wemby and the Spurs, plus the Knicks they played.
00:59Did the Hawks, though.
01:01Then, why are the Mets so bad?
01:02We actually have a theory about this.
01:04And Paul's schemes, I think he's hearing, I got you, babe, in his nightmares.
01:08This is going to have to wait.
01:09Because what in the Mets happened before the Mets game today?
01:13The U.S. figure skating team, look at them.
01:15They're all out there.
01:16Combined, we're talking eight Olympic medals, six of them gold.
01:18And we had maybe one, one decent first pitch.
01:23There's a lot happening, so we're spot shadowing here.
01:25You see Ellie.
01:26That's Ellie Cam on Danny O'Shea's shoulders.
01:28Now, she's going to throw to Andrew Torgachev.
01:31That is why.
01:32Also, I have a theory that maybe it's the wrong person.
01:34Because Ilya Malin is next at the same time.
01:36Basically, he's also throwing it to Torgachev.
01:40It's dropped.
01:40But in fairness, again, I'm not sure he was the intended target for either one of those.
01:45This lady in red, that's Emilia Zingas, climbing onto the shoulders of her partner,
01:50Madim Kolchnik.
01:51Amber Glenn, cute little jump.
01:52The jump is great.
01:53The throw, it is incredibly high.
01:56Can anyone save this?
01:57Thank you, Evan Biggs.
01:58He's the only one to Jason Brown.
02:01He drops it in the chaos of the celebration.
02:03It's the most Mets-y of first pitches I have ever seen,
02:07especially if you saw the game today.
02:08Just feral toddlers on the field.
02:12Cheers, friends.
02:13It's time for Last Call.
02:13So if you watch this show, you know that Eves and I sort of have a standing bet
02:18when it comes to Richard Jefferson.
02:19The man, as in Jefferson, has been known to show some skin.
02:23The buttons on his shirt often feel optional.
02:26And the bet is nipples or belly button.
02:28What are we going to see first?
02:29Well, tonight, Mr. Jefferson was very buttoned up.
02:34If it doesn't hurt your eyes to look at that jacket for more than three seconds,
02:37you're going to notice.
02:39It was full buttons.
02:40There was even a tie.
02:41But if you look too long, you may experience some dizziness and some headaches.
02:45Hey, it's Nicole.
02:47And poof, no Bibbidi or Bobbidi.
02:49The magic, gone.
02:51Now, the Pistons say bring on the Cavs.
02:53Plus, an unexpected record performance.
02:56Where?
02:56Tampa.
02:57You got it.
02:57And the most unstoppable athlete you have ever seen.
03:02Woof.
03:02This is poorly as dramatic.
03:04We got all of that for you coming up.
03:05But first, a refreshed look at the NBA title odds now that the first round has come to an end.
03:10The Thunder remain the big favorites.
03:12The Spurs, the biggest competition, followed by the Knicks.
03:15I'm alone again.
03:17So let's bring in our friend Kendrick Perkins.
03:20He's with us tonight.
03:21I got to be honest.
03:22There are a number of things that I have learned about you in the last week.
03:26You thought the Rockets were, quote, the dumbest team in the playoffs, followed closely by the Lakers.
03:31You were a big Spurs advocate.
03:33You said Jaden McDaniels is a gangster for calling out the Nuggets.
03:38And this might be the best one.
03:40The Thunder are like hyenas.
03:42They are annoying.
03:44There is a lot to unpack just from what you said in the last week.
03:48But with everything that's unfolded in the first round, has it made you look at the way things could play
03:53out a little differently?
03:54A different lens, perhaps?
03:59Absolutely not.
04:01Did Wimby go back to France or something?
04:03No.
04:03Last time I checked, he still played for the San Antonio Spurs.
04:06So he's my favorite still to win it all with the Spurs.
04:10Mr. Perkins is back with us.
04:12I do feel like I was on a roller coaster that entire series.
04:16The Pistons did this to us over and over again.
04:19How should we be feeling about them now, given what they just did going into their next series?
04:27Well, we should be feeling...
04:29What I'm going to say is if the others don't show up to the next round wearing T-shirts that
04:33say the others, that is absolutely a missed opportunity.
04:37So now we've got the Pistons and the Cavs.
04:40I have a feeling I know which way you're going to go with this, but how do you see that
04:43series playing out?
04:46I think, look...
04:47Pistons?
04:50Pistons and how many?
04:50I'm taking the Pistons and seven.
04:52Pistons and seven.
04:52And seven.
04:53There we go.
04:54He's the man.
04:54Whatever he says goes.
04:56There we go.
04:56In seven.
04:57Bye, Perkins.
04:58May is Mental Health Awareness Month, and mental health can mean a lot of things.
05:03It can be depression or anxiety.
05:05It can be unresolved relationship issues or watching a family member battle things most of us can't comprehend.
05:12That is the case for the Pistons' Duncan Robinson.
05:14Now, his on-court success, especially this year with the one-seated Pistons, that has been well documented.
05:19Away from basketball, though, all of that success has been tempered by the personal hardships of the last year.
05:26Dave McMenamin has the story of Duncan and his big brother Eli.
05:30It's this week's Essie Featured.
05:33After Eli's death, Duncan and his family started a foundation to raise money and support initiatives that prioritize the importance
05:40of mental health.
05:41The family has also been lobbying the local governments in New Hampshire and Maine to put up bumpers and netting
05:48on bridges to hopefully prevent further suicide attempts.
05:51Now, as we continue to count down the days until our presentation of Super Bowl 61,
05:55we are telling the stories of the 240 players to have scored a touchdown in the Super Bowl.
06:01240 out of more than 25,000 players in NFL history.
06:05Now, this week, it's Eagles wide receiver A.J. Brown who explains how the team's loss to the Chiefs in
06:10Super Bowl 57
06:11to find the motivation and focus for Brown and his teammates to right the wrong
06:16and leave Super Bowl 59's rematch in a much different spot.
06:21Cheers. It's time for last call.
06:23And cheers to everyone except Kimmy Antonelli because legally he's not allowed.
06:28The 19-year-old may be leading the Formula One World Championship.
06:31I mean, he is the youngest to ever lead the championship.
06:33And he's already won three times this year.
06:35But on the podium in Miami, the other two drivers, they got the real stuff.
06:40Clearly, like, it's displayed on the bottles.
06:42Antonelli was left with whatever that one was.
06:45Sparkling water in a nice big bottle.
06:47That awful grape juice like we give our kids on, like, New Year's Eve.
06:51A big bottle of Shirley Temple.
06:53He didn't even bother to try it.
06:54He just went straight for that.
