There are apparently many unusual easter eggs contained in the Technos Double Dragon video games (1987+). I thought a piece of music heard in Mission 2 (& in the opening mission of the NES / Famicom version) of Double Dragon II: The Revenge ('88) may sound like the theme music to the Peanuts (Charles M. Schulz) animation.

One link between Double Dragon & The Peanuts may involve Swiss watch-maker Omega:
- Mark Dacascos was Jimmy in the live action Double Dragon film in 1994.
He later played the lead in martial arts action series Redemption: Kickboxer 5. Jean-Claude Van Damme emerged as a leading action actor when he acted in the 1989 original.
- Omega watches can be seen on the wrist of Van Damme in many of his films including Double Team in 1998.
- Omega developed their Speedmaster chronograph to be used in NASA space program in the 1960's.
- NASA wanted to use Peanuts dog character Snoopy to represent a special award to employees and contractors. The Silver Snoopy was later given to Omega after the safe return of the Apollo 13 moon mission. Following this, Omega sold some commemorative collectors editions of their watches based on the collaboration.
- In Mission 3 the player walks through a farm area, passing a combine harvester tractor. I thought the canal that runs along the road may resemble the Omega emblem. Beyond this is a fenced off field with grazing cows. The keyword here may be: MOON! The sound cows make is MOO.
- Mickey Rourke played the villain in Double Team & was later in MCU film Iron Man 2 in 2010.
- Marvel Comics (known for superhero Spider-Man) published Double Dragon as a 6 issue mini series in 1991. There was a crossover Spider-Man / Peanuts comic strip (a collaboration by Schulz, John Romita Sr. & fan Mike Burkey). This was published in The Romita Legacy in 2010. One thing that takes place in the story? With some assistance: Charlie Brown actually kicks the football after Lucy props it up!

00:00We're talking about knowledge of the future of movies, YouTube channel, Easter Egg Psychic.
00:05There are a lot of strange and interesting Easter eggs in the original Double Dragon arcade game from 1987.
00:14One that I never expected to see in this game may relate to the Charlie Brown, Snoopy, and Peanuts gang,
00:23a cartoon and comic strip written and illustrated by Charles M. Schultz.
00:27This became a real cornerstone of American pop culture.
00:32So for this one I was again tipped off by a piece of music present on the soundtrack.
00:40You can hear this in Double Dragon 2 The Revenge, the 88 sequel arcade video game.
00:47The track listing for this tune is Mission 2.
00:51Also the opening tune to Mission 1 in the NES Famicom version.
00:57It's not exactly the Peanuts theme, but it could easily be a rearrangement.
01:04Another intriguing connection that may exist here relates to Swiss watchmaker Omega.
01:10Double Dragon was adapted to a live action movie in 1994 starring Robert Patrick, Mark DiCasso, Scott Wolf, Julia Nixon,
01:22and Alyssa Milano.
01:23Now DiCasso, who is an accomplished commercial artist, played the lead in Redemption Kickboxer 5.
01:31This was out in 95, and if you know this movie series, it was a big action hit when it
01:38got started in 1989 starring Jean-Claude Van Damme.
01:42Omega watches can be seen on the wrist of Van Damme in many of his movies,
01:48including in the Sui Hark directed 1997 action movie Double Team,
01:56which starred Van Damme, NBA basketball star Dennis Rodman, and Mickey Rourke.
02:03Now the Peanuts connection.
02:05Omega developed its Speedmaster chronograph so that astronauts could wear it in the American space program.
02:14NASA officially qualified to watch for space flight.
02:19In the 60s, NASA wanted to use the Snoopy character to represent this award.
02:25They talked to Charles Schultz, who was a big fan of the space program.
02:30And after the crew's safe return in the Apollo 13 mission in 1970,
02:37Omega was awarded the Silver Snoopy, which is a special honor given to NASA employees and contractors
02:45for outstanding achievements related to human flight safety or mission success.
02:50In subsequent years, Omega has sold some commemorative watches based on the Snoopy Moonwatch.
03:01Possible nods to Omega in the Double Dragon 2 arcade game.
03:07Toward the end of mission 3, you're walking through a farm.
03:11You come up on the combine harvester tractor.
03:14Note the canal.
03:15The shape of it may be similar to the Omega emblem.
03:19Immediately after this area, you clear what looks like a wheat field, a backdrop.
03:26And then you can see a fenced off field area where several cows are grazing.
03:35As it relates to this, the word moon.
03:38Cows make a sound and it's moo.
03:41So moo and moon.
03:43My YouTube channel is Easter Egg Psychic.
03:45There I go back and look at movies and television from the past.
03:49I analyze these for possible references to future media.
03:52These may appear in the form of anecdotes, idioms, anagrams, hidden in the subtext of the work in question.
03:59I also use an unconventional method where I look at the likenesses of the actors.
04:06What I found is you can take the likenesses, match these up to some of the anecdotal items,
04:11and show past, present, and future information about actors and other personalities
04:17or may resemble the personalities in the movie or television episode that you're watching.
04:24My email contact is easteregguy, that's G-U-Y, at yahoo.com.
04:31Thanks for watching.
