00:07of the
00:07flower moon, named for spring's peak blooms. Just days later, the Etta Aquarius meteor shower peaks
00:14on May 5th and 6th. This shower comes from the debris left behind by Halley's Comet and can
00:20produce up to 60 meteors per hour in the southern hemisphere and around 10 to 30 per hour farther
00:26north. Mid-month brings the best stargazing conditions. The new moon on May 16th means
00:33darker skies and better views of stars and galaxies. Then, on May 18th, look up for a stunning sight as
00:40Venus pairs up with the moon in a bright conjunction. And that rare moment? It comes on May 31st with
00:47the
00:47second full moon of the month, known as a blue moon. The night sky is putting on back-to-back
