00:09calendar for October. The Super Harvest Moon is up first on the night of October 6th. This isn't
00:14just any full moon, though. It's a super moon, appearing larger and brighter than usual. Plus,
00:18it's the Harvest Moon, which is the closest full moon to the autumnal equinox, which was back on
00:23September 22nd. Next up, the Draconid Meteor Shower. That peaks on October 8th and 9th,
00:28and though it's a minor shower with up to 10 meteors per hour, you might still spot some
00:32bright streaks in the evening sky. And the best part? You don't have to stay up late. The Draconids
00:37are best viewed before midnight. Then save the date for October 22nd and 23rd for the Orionid Meteor
00:43Shower. This one is a must-see, with around 20 shooting stars per hour and no moonlight to wash
00:49them out. It's named after the constellation Orion, and these meteors will light up the sky,
00:53especially after midnight when Orion rises higher.
