00:00The number three pick and the number four pick to me,
00:02maybe the worst three, four picks I've seen with so much talent on the board.
00:05Help me out, Kevin.
00:06A running back to a team that's not ready to compete.
00:08And I saw your video.
00:09It goes, are they just looking to feel like four running backs at a time
00:13on the field here to see if it works?
00:14Some new sort of experiment in the NFL.
00:16Help me with love and help me with Tate, please, last night in NFL Draft Night 1.
00:21Well, I'm very confused as to why Tate gets lumped in.
00:24You'll have to explain that to me.
00:25Love is obviously just a situation where this Cardinals group went,
00:33oh, but he's the best player.
00:34And they ignored the things they themselves did in the offseason.
00:38They ignored positional value.
00:41They ignored their own team needs.
00:44There definitely were calls to come up to three.
00:48Everyone said Arizona wanted to move back.
00:50If Reese would have gone two, I would have maybe believed, you know what?
00:55Nothing they could do.
00:56But there were on the record reports that there were teams who saw Arvel Reese
01:00as the best player in the whole class.
01:03I, two things are simultaneously true.
01:07Jeremiah Love is a future All-Pro.
01:09It was a really bad pick.
01:11Again, Bijan Robinson, I think is the best running back in football.
01:14Bijan Robinson is an All-Pro.
01:17The Falcons probably should have took Jalen Carter all those nights ago.
01:21I, but I don't know what, why would Carnell Tate, Donnie,
01:24be lumped into that similar situation?
01:27Wide receivers are making $40 million a year.
01:30They have no wide receivers for Cam Ward to throw the football to.
01:34I hope the Tate pick was a good pick.
01:36But for me, when I look at that pick and I say to myself, like,
01:39if I'm drafting top five at a skilled position, I need to see like Jamar Chase,
01:43Randy Moss type talent there.
01:45I like Carnell Tate.
01:46I don't love him.
01:47As a matter of fact, I look at the other wide receivers that went,
01:48I'm like, you know what, I might have wanted them more than I actually wanted Carnell Tate.
01:52I just figure when you have a guy like Arvel Reese,
01:54which a lot of people, Kevin, thought could probably go two as late as three here
01:58with a situational edge rush that can dominate a football game.
02:02I always go that route and then I go free agent or I maybe build or even trade back,
02:06which is why I look at that Jeremiah Love pick.
02:08And I'll bring Joe into the equation, which we were talking about earlier.
02:11Like, yes, he's a great football player, but not a great football player for Arizona.
02:15And the joke that we were making was like, say Juan Barkley to the Giants.
02:18It makes sense.
02:18The team stunk.
02:19And all of a sudden it's like, okay, when he's in his prime,
02:21he's going to leave and go win a Super Bowl.
02:22Exactly like he did.
02:23Like, Love's probably going to win a Super Bowl with the Rams in five years, Joe.
02:29You just signed Algiers in the offseason.
02:33You've got Conor coming back.
02:35You have a pretty good running back situation.
02:39But how are you running the ball if you have no offensive line?
02:43Like, it's beyond me what they were doing there.
02:46But listen, it's a good day, Kev, for me and for Jet fans because it's the day after the draft
02:52and nobody's talking about the Jets, which means they got it right, which is fantastic here.
02:58And the Browns got it right.
03:00Like, it's hard to believe we're not ripping them right now.
03:04Yeah, it turns out the Browns were the only team who meant it when they were like,
03:07yeah, we'd like to trade back.
03:08Does anybody want one of these premier guys?
03:10Like, give them credit for that.
03:11The Jets thing was really interesting, though,
03:13because some of the Jets fans were livid over the Kenyon-Sadiq move
03:18instead of taking Makai Lemon.
03:21And in real time, I feel like I was able to get a grasp on what the Jets were going
03:26to do,
03:26and they did exactly that, which was just come back up and get the wide receiver they wanted.
03:31If they would have drafted Makai Lemon with pick 16,
03:36there was no tight end that was going to be on the board for them,
03:38you know, in the late 20s and early 30s.
03:41That just wasn't going to be an option.
03:42So this team now has given themselves a wide receiver they really believe in,
03:46obviously a tight end they really believe in here.
03:48I was a little surprised at some of the negative reactions towards Kenyon-Sadiq.
03:53And I would say this, in terms of the David Bailey,
03:56I understand what Arvell Reese might be.
03:59I'm also understanding that John Harbaugh's like,
04:01yeah, he's going to play inside linebacker.
04:03It's like, huh?
04:04What?
04:04I thought he was going to play inside linebacker.
04:07Like, that's one of the reasons, Donnie,
04:09I think the Tate pick should be given a little bit more grace,
04:11is like a middle linebacker might be the guy that we're being like,
04:15why didn't you grab him?
04:16I think that's why Bailey went off the board second overall.
04:19He's the only guy there like, he actually gets after the quarterback.
