00:01New South Wales Police say a man aged in his 30s had just arrived at his Guildford home around 11
00:07.30 last night when four men jumped him and abducted him at gunpoint, throwing him into the back of his
00:15own car before driving off to nearby Villawood.
00:18There they then swapped him into a different car and torched his own vehicle at that Villawood location which was
00:25later found by police partially burnt out with a number of items still left inside.
00:31A short time later police then tracked down those men to a property in Kizoola where the victim was being
00:39held.
00:40After what was described as a short siege, five men from the property were then caught fleeing the scene.
00:47They were all arrested relatively close to that Kizoola property and inside they found the victim who was bound by
00:55his hands and legs, suffering facial injuries.
00:58He was then taken to hospital in a stable condition and is expected to be released at some point today.
01:04Inside the property police also located a baseball bat and a pistol they believe was used in this planned abduction.
01:12The ABC understands the victim in this kidnapping is Emilio Shalhoub who's been described as the bodyguard of an alleged
01:21senior figure of the Alamuddin crime family, a rapper known as a Huncho.
01:27Now police have also revealed that his father, the bodyguard's father, was also attacked at his Guildford home back in
01:35June.
01:35He was stabbed by two young men. They believe that Mr Shalhoub was also the target of that attack but
01:42it was a case of mistaken identity.
01:45Now Task Force Falcon, which is the dedicated police strike force looking into organised crime here in Sydney, spoke a
01:52short time ago.
01:53Here's what they had to say.
01:54It was good police work. They did kidnap the victim. They did drive him away from the premises. They did
02:01get him to another location.
02:02It's just that under Task Force Falcon and our deployments, our police from the area at the right time, Polair
02:07sided the vehicle.
02:08Local police did a brilliant job turning up to arrest this person and then they did a brilliant job arresting
02:13the five offenders when they fled.
02:15So they were successful. It's just that it was great police work. Negated it from continuing.
02:20The five people who were arrested over this kidnapping are still yet to be charged but police expect they are
02:26facing assault and kidnapping charges.
02:29The youngest of the five people arrested is 17 years old.
