00:29I'm interested to see what Seth does in his early laps as we're watching Nate makes the pass on his,
00:33or try to make a pass on his teammate.
00:35And does, goes that high line, Nate Thrasher in front again.
00:39Landon Gordon, valuable experience in just his second weekend as a pro.
00:45These guys practice together during the week, so it's like a day at the goat farm.
00:51I think if I was a rookie, this would make me comfortable,
00:54and I would probably be able to ride to my full potential riding with a guy that I practiced with
00:59during the week.
01:00A lot of similarities there.
01:02Yeah, he should feel really comfortable, because in the third spot, you got his teammate, Cole Davies,
01:06made two passes that put a little bit of distance between him and Seth Handmaker.
01:10So, great move by him.
01:12Seth has got to pick up the pace.
01:14Well, the fortunes have swung, haven't they?
01:17Because Handmaker was ahead of Davies, his championship rival, in the first iteration of this.
01:23Davies was buried in 12th position.
01:25Now Cole runs in third.
01:27Watch you guys to take a look at the different lines.
01:29And there you go.
01:30Cole Davies trying to get by his teammate, but slips up in the whoops.
01:34He'll be on the inside.
01:36Way to defend the position by Landon Gorda, but watch on these 90-degree corners.
01:41Some of those riders are going all the way to the outside, because those insides are getting pretty greasy and
01:46slick.
01:46Yeah, absolutely.
01:47They're trying to do that, as you said, to find that traction.
01:50Otherwise, you'll be doing slotting into the guy in front of you.
01:53So, if you're interested to watch how this race plays out, it should get better.
01:56But right now, these guys can be very careful.
01:59Oh, did Diven Simonson go down there?
02:00That front end was tucking.
02:02No, he's managed to hang on to it.
02:04He held on to it.
02:04So, and also, talking about the favors swinging the right way, like, Devin Simonson was way back.

02:15So, he was down with Drew Adams.
02:17Yeah.
02:17And so was Cole, right?
02:19Cole went down.
02:20And they're up front.
02:21They're in front of Hammacher now.
02:23Behind Simonson, Hammacher, then Derek Kelly, Daxton Benick, Nick Romano, Cody Shock, and Isaiah Clark, who had to go via
02:30the last chance qualifier.
02:31Isaiah's doing well in the top ten.
02:33And he almost missed his break right there.
02:35He kind of stalled up in that corner.
02:37Right.
02:38Man, look at Hammacher.
02:40Starting to close some ground right here.
02:42And they're making up time on Cole Davies.
02:44Now, if you're Cole, though, you can also, you know, you have a decent points lead in the championship.
02:50Ooh, almost pushes the front end right there.
02:51So, he's got some points to give here.
02:54Yeah, no, he does, but to me, something looks a little off on him as he makes it.

02:58Well, you said maybe his bike was messed up.

03:02Here comes Hammacher.
03:03Hammacher's by Simonson.
03:05And he's got his eyes and sights set on championship rival Cole Davies, who just had a hiccup.
03:10Now, Seth understands Cole's probably not Cole Davies 100%, so you wonder if you're going to try to make that
03:17aggressive pass, at least try to get in and start him a little bit.
03:20But he's made that time.
03:21Normally, Cole would be getting away, but great opportunity for this, Seth, to maybe make some points of this.
03:27Cole looked like he was up to the corner as well.
03:29He was.
03:30He was all the way at the top in the berm.
03:32Top of the berm started to give way.
03:34Looked like he was in full lock, steering lock.
03:37If you were to compare the two, Hammacher looks like he feels these conditions a little bit better.
03:42Yeah, Cole, there's definitely something wrong with him, because this interspeed going into the corners isn't.
03:47Almost like he's up front brake.
03:48I guess Seth slides up the inside.
03:51He saw that door was wide open.
03:54Well, he has to make those kind of moves.
03:57It's for a championship, and this is going to be a pivotal round in the whole scheme of this 2026
04:05-250 East Division title race.
04:08Yeah, and even just for the overall here this afternoon alone, this is important.
04:13I mean, definitely don't want to let Simonson get by.
04:15Now, if Simonson does get by, he'll have some space to work with, because Minnick's a ways back.
04:22You can see right there.
04:25Wow, this track is really, really slick.
04:28The good thing about it, James, I believe, at least it's raceable, and the mud isn't super heavy, so they're
04:35able to move around a fair bit.
04:37Yeah, I mean, the most difficult part right now is just vision, and when you get around these other guys
04:41trying to make passes, as you can see, kind of following one line right here.
04:45So, I don't think the track itself is too difficult.
04:48It's just when you get close and you're just keeping that vision clean.
04:52Dev, I think we'll see some car, we're going to use some car racing turn with slide jobs from some
04:59of these riders making passes, coming up the 90-degree corners, sliding into the riders on the outside.
05:10Devon Simonson runs fifth at the moment, two positions behind this man we're looking at here.
05:14I want to remind you what happened last weekend in Nashville, Tennessee.
05:19Pardon me, just one position behind Cole Davies.
05:21This is Devon, after the fact, after the podium, after everything was done, receiving the guitar, which was the trophy
05:29for the Nashville round.
05:30And then when he got back to Club MX, his teammates, and including Chad Reed, they got some champagne out
05:37for the young man for his first ever career podium.
05:41That was really good stuff.
05:42Now, look, it came through a kind of a quirky way.
05:45It was through Hamaker getting penalized because not only did Seth cut the track, he gained an advantage and passed.
05:51He went ahead of Devon.
05:53And then, so he ended up losing not one but two positions.
05:56And that elevated Simonson to the podium.
05:59You've got to be in the right spot to be advantageous sometimes.
06:02So we congratulate him because podium or not, he has been riding.
06:06He's having a career year.
06:08Oh, absolutely, Lee.
06:09And as a kid, I know how many times I used to do that, watching Jerry McGrath, Ricky Carmichael on
06:14TV, just popping a water bottle.
06:16So, sure, it was different for him.
06:18But at the same time, great feeling.
06:20Congratulations, Devon, on that one.
06:22And he keeps riding this way, James.
06:24I mean, he's going to earn it the way that he wants to earn it for sure.
06:29And he's going to have many more opportunities to spray the champagne.

06:33Very incredible season for this young man.
06:36It's been a lot of fun to watch.
06:37And I go back to the guy that I used to lose sleep over and with a tough competitor.
06:43You just have to think he's learned so much from Chad.
06:46So I can tell you just by looking out of our booth that the rain is easing up.
06:53You're starting to see actually where they're penetrating through the surface.
06:56In parts, you're seeing some dryness on the track on certain lines.
07:01Meanwhile, Nate Thrasher leads the way.
07:04Gordon is second.
07:06And Cole Davies is turning up the heat on third place, Seth Hamaka.
07:11What happened?
07:12Seth must have made a huge mistake because he was the fastest guy on the track.
07:16The previous lap had a 50.
07:17And now he ran a 55, which allowed Cole to get back up there.
07:21But starting to see, starting to look back.
07:23He's probably anticipating Cole's going to do what he did, make an aggressive pass.
07:27But I feel like Cole's in that path now.
07:29Oh, whoa, Hamaka lost his rhythm.
07:31He did.
07:32He got wheels spin up the face of that jump.
07:34And that's what you're going to see a lot from these riders right now.
07:37The wheel is going to start spinning.
07:39They're not going to get the drive that they were anticipating to get on the takeoffs of these jumps.
07:45High risk.
07:45Yeah, but all of that was caused, he was more worried about what Cole was doing or what Cole might
07:50do to him as he makes another mistake.
07:53Cross ruts right there.
07:54Started racing behind him instead of in front of him.
07:58Two minutes plus a lap remain in this second 250 East Division race on a Triple Crown afternoon.
08:06Nice recovery by Cole.
08:07To me, it looks like whatever was going on, he learned how to ride with the motorcycle.
08:12No intensity, just that composure.
08:14As we talked about at the opening of his show, really continue to do his things.
08:18And now look at him, still on the podium and a great shot to not lose too many points to
08:22Seth at this point.
08:35What do you think, Brandon Bricky?
08:37At this time, you start kind of finding a rhythm.
08:39Yeah, like I think, I believe and agree with everything that you said as far as, you know, he probably
08:45learned if this bike is banged up from the first start before the red flag, he probably took him a
08:52couple laps to get used to it.
08:54Here's a great story.
08:55Here's Derek Kelly.
08:56He's in a tie for 10th coming into this round in points with Nick Romano.
09:02And this is the MX6 team, originally born out of Poughkeepsie, New York, now based in California.
09:12Ollie Stone is the team manager, former Pro Circuit Kawasaki team member.
09:17And in their first year, coming into this round of the championship, two of their riders in the top 10
09:26in points.
09:27That's outstanding.
09:28Well, and really, when you think about Ollie and his experience working for Mitch Payton for so long, the wealth
09:35of knowledge that he learned.
09:36And then he moved and he was Austin Borkner's mechanic for a long time.
09:41And then he moved over to the Gas Gas, Charlie Dines, Red Bull race team and had a big roll
09:48over there.
09:48And then he moved over to run this race team.
09:51So really, no surprise when you think about it.
09:53They're doing a great job, like you said.
09:55All right, Stu, look out.
09:56Here comes Seth Hamaker.
09:58He is not afraid to take the fight to the championship leader.
10:01Whatever happened two laps ago, he's been able to reset, regroup and take third place.
10:08Oh, yeah, I mean, again, I think a lot of that was just caused.
10:11He was looking back and Cole didn't seem like he picked up the pace.
10:14But what happened was Seth probably got that pit board and knew he needed to make that pass.
10:18And he did.
10:19I don't think Cole at this point is going to really fight him too much.
10:22He understands that.
10:23It's a long game.
10:24He's got a nice point.
10:25Yeah, and he does.
10:26He's got, if the race stopped right now, he's still got a 14-point lead.
10:30So, you know, he doesn't need to panic at this stage.
10:35This is confidence-boosting stuff for Seth Hamaker.

10:39He's doing what he has to do.
10:41What he has to do.
10:42Finish ahead of Cole Davies.
10:44Making solid passes on Davies.
10:46And I believe Cole knows, as we're watching now, Nate.
10:49Cole knows the only way he's probably going to lose is he's going to have to make an aggressive pass,

10:53So, kind of anticipated that possibly happening.
