00:30good laps here. If he's able to pull out a lead, I just feel it's going to be similar to
00:35a lot like his other wins. He's so good at managing. Wow.
00:40I agree. And you know, everybody knows it. In the mud races or races like this, what you try to
00:45do if you're in Kent Roxxon, you try to hit all the rhythm sections, get through the whoops, and get
00:49you a gap.
00:50And then what you'll see is that gap is starting to stabilize, but it'd be too far for these guys.
00:54So far, he's executing it perfect.
00:56Points leader, Hunter Lawrence is way back in the top 10 with work to do. Roxxon has already skipped away
01:03from Cooper Webb quite substantially just on the opening lap.
01:07Here is the task at hand for Hondas, Hunter Lawrence.
01:12Yeah, he's messing with his goggles a ton right there on every single jump that he would take off of.
01:18He kept fiddling with his vision there. He's going to get by Jordan Smith.
01:24Did it again.
01:25Way back.
01:27Yeah, you can tell he's having a visual problem because he probably should have got past Jordan Smith at that
01:33moment, but it's going to be an important race for, you know, Hunter Lawrence at this moment.
01:37I think he's going to have to just try to methodically make his way up as he tries to get
01:41there. What we see so far, JT.
01:45Yeah, I'm just wondering. I can still see tear-offs there. I was thinking if he maybe pulled all of
01:49his tear-offs on accident there, but it's so unusual for him to keep wiping.
01:53Not that motion he was doing. He was wiping water away there. So, yeah, really peculiar. That would be a
01:58huge issue if he didn't have vision.
02:00Well, James, you talk about it a lot. There's times where you just got to make it happen, and I
02:05will tell you, this dude has done it all season long. Anytime where he's been in that spot, and I
02:10think right now this is one of these moments because Ken Rockson is going to make up a lot of
02:15points here this afternoon if he don't march up the field.
02:18Yeah, absolutely. This is one of those, as you mentioned, those moments for Hunter, but he's also got to be
02:24careful in the difference between the past and that.
02:26This is a Triple Crown. It's a shorter race. It is wet out there. It's easy to make a lot
02:30of mistakes, but you can tell by his body position.
02:32He's a lot more aggressive than he was that first race, that second race.
02:36Meanwhile, this guy here, Ken Rockson, aboard the number 94 Progressive Insurance Cycle Gear X-Star Suzuki, has ran away
02:46to a four, five-second lead. Incredible in such a short amount of time.
02:53He's playing with fire on that rhythm lane right there, getting so close to the tough blocks, Will.
03:01Ricky, this version of Ken Rockson that we are seeing here in 2026, I don't know about you, because your
03:07history goes a long way back with Kenny.
03:09I've never seen him in the zone that he's in. Just his confidence, how he acts under pressure, that whole
03:15shot there in that situation.
03:17Third race of a Triple Crown, Hunter Lawrence, guys, is down.
03:20Oh, no. Let's have a look at what happened to Lawrence. It is all going the wrong direction for the
03:27points leader.
03:28Oh, it's a big moment. You can tell by the end of the whoops. I'm assuming he probably got cross
03:32-rutted here.
03:34Tough gets in here. Oh, it looks pretty good. Now, there's a long run going down there.
03:39So, you can tell Hunter gets, yep, there he goes. Starts losing the rear end, front end goes, and kind
03:44of gets off lucky.
03:45But that's going to be costly, Ricky, in these points.
03:47Big time, you can see right there, he was flirting, trying to go in between the ruts.
03:52And that is a very, very interesting decision because it's so narrow right there, and the margin for error is
04:00just so thin.
04:01And he goes sideways, like you said, James, and hits the deck.
04:05It was the whoops in Detroit that brought him undone. It's the whoops here in the final race in Cleveland.
04:11So, his fuel hose has come off, and you can see fuel from his gas tank cover coming out and
04:19popping up into his chest and probably up underneath his helmet.
04:23Watch closely. They have a vent tube that comes out of the gas tank cover as he looks down.
04:31Again, reaching for a tear-off.
04:35Yeah, great call, Ricky, and also what would happen, just get enough of that fuel to get on his seat,
04:41make his bike slippery for a hold on.
04:43If you look at the points as they run right now, championship-wise, he's, Ken Roxton's only two points back
04:49at the end of the way it does today.
04:52Dang here. I mean, going back to win, so Hunter Lawrence has four wins, Eli has four, and Ken Roxton
05:01only has three.
05:02So, now they're going to be tied in wins, most likely, after this race.
05:08It's going to put even more pressure on both of these riders to go out and win these next three
05:15races, because you don't want to go to a tied scenario.
05:18Boy, that would be crazy.
05:19Three races to go when the checkered flag drops here.
05:23Again, pulling another tear off.
05:26I mean, just in one lap alone, he's gone for four, JT.
05:30Yeah, and just wondering if that fuel is splashing up there, is that getting onto his goggle lens?
05:34You've seen him pull so many tear-offs, which is unusual, because the rain has stopped, and he really has
05:39no roost in front of him.
05:40So, you wonder if he's getting gas splashing into his goggle lens.
05:43And, guys, I've been in this situation, that fuel burned so badly over time, and there's still six-plus minutes
05:50to go in this race.
05:51He's in a really tough spot here.
05:53And that just shows you, JT, how valuable the time is.
05:57He don't want to stop and put that hose back on the gas cap, because he don't want to lose
06:01those positions.
06:02Yeah, no, he's committed at this point.
06:06Watch this, as far as the gas leaking.
06:10See it coming out of the top there?
06:12I mean, that is, it doesn't seem like much, but that is a lot.
06:16It really is.
06:17Yeah, that's a lot.
06:20He ain't stopping.
06:21No, he's not.
06:22And it just, kind of go back to big picture.
06:25This is, it's uncharacteristic for Hunter to make these mistakes.
06:31I mean, he's been so clutch all season long.
06:34And I'll be straight up, I think, I'm shocked by what I saw.
06:38I mean, it can happen.
06:39Everybody's human.
06:40But he just, I mean, I feel like he's just that good.
06:43Well, at this stage, every single pass is going to mean something big, because the points as they run,
06:50there's only one between Hunter Lawrence and Ken Rockson.
06:55It started out as 10 before this Triple Crown began earlier today here in Ohio.
07:02So there's three races to go, three rounds to go in the Supercross portion of the Monster and GSMX World
07:07Championship.
07:08Philly next week, followed by Denver, Colorado, followed by the championship in Salt Lake City.
07:14We couldn't ask for things to be any closer in the Premier Class.
07:19Full-blown pressure cooker.
07:21I mean, it's just coming down to the wire, where basically, you're going to have to win to win this
07:25championship.
07:26And I did not see this coming.
07:29But this is what I love about Monster Energy Supercross and SMX World Championship.
07:34You just never know.
07:36And this has been one for the ages.
07:38He gets by for the second time, gets by Triumph, Jordan Smith.
07:42So that was for 11th for Hunter Lawrence.
07:46Now he needs to set sights on Kawasaki's Garrett Marchbanks to break into the top ten.
07:56Yeah, we saw Justin Cooper.
07:58He was up a lot higher, and then he had a 107, so he obviously went down.
08:02But he also needs his pass on Dean Wilson to be able to get back up on the podium.
08:06And as you can see, he's tied with Chase Sexton.
08:09We've got Garrett Marchbanks trying to make it difficult.
08:11And who this is helping is Hunter Lawrence.
08:13As they slow down, brings him back in the game.
08:16As he's a little farther back, he's going to need every position he can get.
08:20And let's not forget about the man out in front aboard his trusty Suzuki.
08:25Roxen is a whopping nine seconds in the lead.
08:30He's just cruising right now.
08:32This is such a great position to be in.
08:34James, you know it better than anybody.
08:36I mean, you can just maintain.
08:38You can play around.
08:39You can, you know, look to see where your competition is.

09:00To be honest, the biggest thing is focusing on myself
09:03and control what I can control.
09:05So, starts, obviously no mistakes, no crashes or anything.
09:08But, yeah, it's time to be a head of Hunter.
09:11And, um, either win as many points as possible
09:15or lose as little as possible.
09:17You know, there's always the possibility of anything.
09:19So, I feel like that's the fun part about being this, um, situation.
09:22Just the, the unknown and the excitement about it.
09:25The day that started so well with a victory
09:27has turned into a nightmare for Hunter Lawrence.
09:30This third race of the Triple Crown has just been brutal.
09:35Now it goes a lap down and it is unraveling in front of our eyes right now.
09:41Never saw this happening, James, and this is crazy.
09:46Yeah, it's going to come up.
09:47March Banks on off, gets in here, triple.
09:50So, when he catches back tire right here, there you go.
09:53Gets down.
09:54He wanted to slow down and try to get her, um, underneath Garrett.
09:57But Garrett goes down.

10:05Oh, that one could have been way worse right there
10:08as he gets off somewhat luckily but costly
10:12as far as the, uh, having a shot at winning this thing.
10:15But it looks like he's back in a position.

10:28that I don't even want to speak into existence.
10:30But if he lost a lot of fuel here,
10:32they optimized for these Triple Crown races with, with fuel.
10:35I, I don't even want to mention him
10:37but the fact that he could be running low on fuel late here
10:40has to be somewhere in the mechanic's mind.
10:42It's already gone so poorly.
10:44Let's just hope he has another minute 15 left in this thing.

10:51the gas tank has been on the lower side.
10:54So, you, you have to assume that fuel was coming out
10:57as the bike was laid over as well.

11:06as to is there plenty in there
11:08for probably another three laps.
11:10Just sort of splash out there.
11:11That's a good sign.
11:12Yeah, I was starting to think that maybe as it got lower
11:14it wouldn't come out as much.
11:16But the only silver lining in this
11:18is that he did get lapped by Ken Rockson.
11:20So, if he stays here,
11:21he's not going to lose any more positions
11:23as far as the way it is
11:25unless he doesn't finish his race.
11:28We're going to this.
11:31Well, think about it with fuel injection these days.
11:34Back in the day, you'd be able to tell
11:36if the bike was going to run out of the gas.
11:38It would start to run very, very lean.
11:41It would make a certain sound.
11:44Whereas with fuel injection,
11:45you get no warning.
11:47It completely shuts off.
11:48So, let's hope that that won't happen.
11:51I think we're going to be all right.
11:53Not a lot of drag on the motorcycle.
11:54Back up front, Ken Rockson.
11:59What a job done, man.
