00:00But let's move on.
00:01A fighter I've always been a fan of, Air Jordain.
00:03So you've got Charles Jordain.
00:06You know, now in a bantamweight, he's coming off of two wins.
00:11He beat Henry, he beat Davey Grant.
00:16He's an entertaining fighter, this dude.
00:18And unlike sort of another, I'm not taking it away from Mike Mallott
00:21or some of the Canadian fighters, but a lot of them only fight in Canada, it seems.
00:25They get thrown on the Canadian card like twice a year, and that's that.
00:30Charles has been around.
00:32Like, he's fought in New York, at MSG, or like in Jersey, et cetera.
00:36Like, he was on the ABC card.
00:38He's been on, you know, he's been on like the Vegas cards.
00:42Like, Charles Jordain has been on like various different cards,
00:45now fighting on his home turf.
00:48And you and I talked about it.
00:50You know, Canada kind of does matter, Tom.
00:53I don't really think much about where the fight is
00:55and where people are from and all that type of stuff,
00:57but the Canadians get into it, bro.
01:00Right?
01:00They do.
01:00And the UFC throws them a bone.
01:03And, I mean, hell, the Vancouver card a couple of years ago, bro,
01:06the Canadian fighters went like 6-0.
01:08Bro, like, they set it up so the Canadian fighters kind of win.
01:12Yet, Kyler Phillips is a badass, man.
01:14The guy's a serious vet.
01:16He's a systematic dude.
01:17And something caught my eye here is Jordan is a guy to finish his fight.
01:2215 of his 17 career wins have come inside a distance.
01:25Four of his last five haven't gone the distance in a UFC, whether he wins or loses.
01:30But Phillips is more systematic.
01:32Six of his last seven have gone the distance, Tom.
01:36What's your take on that fight?
01:39Yeah, and this is another good live look, I think,
01:41because Kyler Phillips, when he came into the UFC, I was a big Kyler Phillips guy.
01:47I was like, this kid's got it all.
01:49He beat Song Yudong.
01:50Like, to me, I thought this kid was a champion.
01:54But really, what he's shown is his cardio falls off after the first round,
01:59like, almost every fight.
02:01And that first round, he's extremely dangerous.
02:04And, again, like, this is another fight where I feel like,
02:07if you like Charles Jourdain, like, you could easily bet him in the second round
02:11and probably get a pretty good price.
02:14But, yeah, I mean, Jourdain, since moving down to Bantamweight,
02:17he looks amazing.
02:18I mean, he's finished his two fights at Bantamweight.
02:21He's got a nasty guillotine.
02:24He's got all the skills.
02:25He's got the striking.
02:26He's got the cardio.
02:27He can grapple.
02:28He's not a grappler, per se, but he can grapple.
02:30He can scramble.
02:32You know, he can do what he's got to do on the ground.
02:35And to me, over the course of three rounds, Jourdain is just a better fighter.
02:40And, you know, the cardio really is the one thing that stands out to me in this fight.
02:46So I like Jourdain here.
02:48I could easily see him finding a sub as Kyler Phillips fades late in this fight.
02:53You know, I could see him getting stuck in one of those guillotines
02:56because when Jourdain wraps that guillotine, it's a wrap.
02:59I mean, the dude, he can lock onto a neck, and it's pretty nasty.
03:05So I like Jourdain here.
03:07I think he wins.
03:08I like him.
03:08You know, the money line's not crazy, so I do like him on the money line.
03:11But I also like him as a live look, and I also like him inside the distance.
03:16All right, we'll get Tom's best bets of the card for UFC Winnipeg.
03:23On the other side, I like Charles in this fight as well, Charles Jourdain.
03:30But one of the best, it just fits, right?
03:34The air.
03:34It's, you know, it just works.
