Brian just got fired. Naturally, the solution is becoming a stay-at-home dad and pretending that’s totally fine. Then he gets an invite for a playdate with another dad. Jeff, who seems like a normal suburban guy… until reality remembers what “action” is supposed to look like.

Because the nice afternoon? Gone. They’re suddenly being hunted by mercenaries, and Brian, unprepared in every possible way, has to survive obstacle after obstacle like someone spilled an action movie onto a dad sitcom. The kids are there, the chaos is loud, and the whole thing leans hard into the absurd. It’s not trying to be subtle. It’s basically “what if playtime was a high-stakes survival run.”

Brian wurde gefeuert. Super Start in den neuen Alltag als Hausvater. Dann soll er sich mit dem anderen Dad Jeff treffen, weil „Playdate“ angeblich Entspannung bedeutet. Spoiler: Der Nachmittag kippt sofort in blankes Action-Fieber. Sogar die Söhne wirken kurz so, als hätten sie die falsche Tagesordnung angeklickt.

Statt Kekse und Smalltalk werden die beiden von Söldnern gejagt und Brian versucht, zwischen Spielzeug und Panik als improvisierter Überlebenskünstler mitzuhalten. Das Ganze ist weniger „ernste Thrillerei“, mehr chaotischer Slapstick mit jeder Menge absurdem Hindernisparcours. Und ja: Wenn man seinen Job verliert, erwartet man nicht, dass man danach auch noch Action-Level auf Normal installiert bekommt.
