One twin brother is trying to quit the crime thing. The other shows up at his door with a plan called “the last job.” Shocking how that always ends, right? Moke Munger wants out. Jady Munger insists on one final heist, so the two brothers hit the road across the USA.

They’re not just running from trouble. They’re getting hunted by Farful, a cop who treats gunfights like an exam he’s determined to pass. And then there’s the real pressure: their complicated, split-up relationship with their sharp-tongued mom, Cath. Because nothing says “family reunion” like criminals, bad timing, and emotional baggage.

Also, for reasons that somehow work, an orangutan and emeralds worth four million US dollars are part of the plan. It’s ridiculous in the way that makes you lean in. With a Rotten Tomatoes score of 42% and a Metascore of 50%, this one’s clearly not for everyone. But if you want a Heist-Roadtrip that’s messy, dumb-fun, and occasionally hilarious, Brothers might hit your spot.

Zwei Zwillingsbrüder, die im Knast waren. Klingt nach Reue. Ist aber erstmal nur Reue mit Handgranaten: Moke versucht, endlich ein normales Leben zu führen, bis Jady wieder vor der Tür steht und „letzter Coup“ sagt. Natürlich wird daraus ein Roadtrip quer durch die USA, begleitet von einem Polizisten namens Farful, der seine Dienstwaffe offenbar als Sportgerät betrachtet. Und als wäre das nicht schon genug Chaos, taucht auch ihre entfremdete, bestens ausgefuchste Mutter Cath wieder in der Gleichung auf.

Der Clou: Ein Orang-Utan und Smaragde im Wert von vier Millionen US-Dollar. Nicht als Nebeninfo, sondern als echter Spielmacher. Brothers ist kein Meisterwerk, eher ein schiefes Heist-Spektakel, das sich selbst dabei leicht zu ernst nimmt. Trotzdem macht es Spaß, wenn man auf kriminelle Familienlogik steht.
