The criminal breach of trust (CBT) trial of FashionValet founders Datin Vivy Yusof and her husband, Datuk Fadzarudin Shah Anuar, has been postponed to July.

Sessions Court Judge Rosli Ahmad on Monday (April 13) also granted the couple temporary release of their passports to perform the Haj pilgrimage, with the documents to be returned by June 18.

00:14Sessions Court Judge Rosli Ahmad on Monday vacated the original hearing dates after Defense Counsel Sharvin Raj applied for an
00:23adjournment to prepare the defense.
00:25The trial, initially set to begin today and continue through June, will now commence on July 20th and 24th, with
00:34additional dates fixed through to January next year.
00:38Sharvin said key case documents must first be submitted to auditors, a process expected to take about six weeks before
00:45the defense can finalize its statement.
00:48Deputy Public Prosecutor Nors Yazwani Mohamed Sobri did not object to the application.
00:53The court also allowed the couple's request for temporary release of their passports to perform the Hajj pilgrimage, with the
01:01documents to be returned by June 18th.
01:03On December 5th, 2024, Vivi, 38, and Fadzaruddin, 37, pleaded not guilty to CBT charges involving 8 million ringgit in
01:16funds linked to Kazana National Berhad and Permodala National Berhad.
01:21They are accused, as directors of Fashion Valet, of authorizing an 8 million ringgit payment from the company's account to
01:2830 Maple Sandirian Berhad without board approval on August 21st, 2018.
01:35The charge under Section 409 of the Penal Code carries a maximum penalty of 20 years' imprisonment, whipping, and a
01:43fine upon conviction.
01:44They also claim trial to an alternative charge under Section 403 for dishonest misappropriation of property.
