The Kuala Lumpur High Court on Tuesday (Nov 18) approved Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin’s application for the temporary release of his passport to undergo a pancreatic cancer follow-up examination in the United Kingdom and to visit his family.

Justice Noor Ruwena Mohamad Nurdin allowed the passport to be released from December 8 to January 5.

00:27Earlier, Muhyiddin's counsel, Datuk Ameer Hamza Arshad, told the court that his client
00:33sought the release of his passport from today until January 12 for his annual medical review
00:39in the UK and to spend time with his grandchildren who live there.
00:42Deputy Public Prosecutor Mahadi Abdul Jumaat said the prosecution did not object to the application.
00:50Muhyiddin, a former Prime Minister, faces four charges of abusing his position to solicit
00:56bribes totaling 232.5 million ringgit linked to the Jana Wibawa project involving Bukhari
01:03Equity, Sendirian Berhad, Nepturus Sendirian Berhad, Mamfor Sendirian Berhad, and Datuk
01:10Asman Yusof.
01:12The offences were allegedly committed at the Prime Minister's office in Putrajaya between
01:17March 2020 and August 2021.
01:21He also faces three charges of receiving 200 million ringgit in funds from unlawful activities
01:27deposited into Bersatu's AMBank and CIMB accounts.
