Two company owners have been fined a combined RM30,000 after pleading guilty to submitting forged Letters of Award to immigration officers in Kajang and Selangor to fraudulently obtain foreign worker quotas.

Two other company owners pleaded not guilty to similar charges and were released on bail, with their case fixed for mention on May 5.

00:06all linked to the same scheme, submitting forged documents to immigration authorities
00:10to secure approval for foreign worker quotas.
00:13In the first case, Sessions Court Judge Datuk Mohamed Nasir Nordin
00:16handed down a 20,000 ringgit fine to 30-year-old Mohamed Rahizad Rafir Mohamed.
00:21He pleaded guilty to two charges of dishonestly submitting a forged letter of award
00:26dated 1 August 2022 to immigration officers at the Kajang branch on two separate occasions,
00:32the 2nd and 24th November 2023.
00:36In the same court, 63-year-old Ali Mohamed was fined 10,000 ringgit for a similar offence.
00:42He submitted a forged letter of award dated October 24, 2022
00:47to an officer at the Salango Immigration Department on 23 February last year.
00:52Meanwhile, in a separate Sessions Court before Judge Awang Kariznada,
00:56Awang Mahmood, two other company owners entered not guilty pleas.
01:0069-year-old Abdul Razak Nawabdin faces two counts of submitting forged documents to an officer
01:06at the Salangor Immigration Department in May and June 2023.
01:1041-year-old Noor Hidayani Jailani faces a single charge for a similar offence in May 2023.
01:17Both were released on bail, Abdul Razak at RM7,000 and Noor Hidayani at RM5,000.
01:23The court fixed the 5th of May for mention.
01:26Both accused were represented by counsel Datin Rajpreefkaur.
