05:52And he is an alien jet.
05:54If you were wondering if he is a Decepticon or not, there you go.

06:02So, this definitely looks cool.
06:05I mean, he does definitely resemble his Megatron alt mode in the show.
06:10Which I really do like.
06:11I like the wings.
06:12I like the, uh, cannon even.
06:14Even though it doesn't look exactly accurate as I was hoping.
06:19For a, kind of like a mech tech themed weapon that actually has meaning.
06:25I think it kind of looks okay.
06:28The weird part is he's got this kind of beige or brown or whatever you want to call it color
06:35that's thrown in everywhere that he doesn't really need.
06:38But, we'll go through that in robot mode.
06:42He does have his little toes in the back.
06:45And you can take the cannon off and drop it.
06:47And you can even take the front little piece off if you want.
06:52And he does have his fists at the bottom there.
06:54His fists are more hidden.
06:56But, uh, these feet are, like, right there.
07:00But, it kind of bothers you in knowing that you know it's the feet.
07:05But, it kind of doesn't because, well, he is an alien jet after all.
07:09So, they can do pretty much whatever they want.
07:11Head is revealed in this alt mode.
07:13That might seem annoying to some people.
07:16I think it's okay.
07:17I don't understand why the entirety of Megatron is not silver.
07:22But, he does have silver accents in this mode.
07:27So, it's kind of weird.
07:29However, I do still like it.
07:31Not a big fan of the purple.
07:32It kind of breaks up these two and kind of makes them look like two different things.
07:37But, you know what?
07:38It's still okay.
07:39Let's go on to the robot mode.
07:41And here he is in...
07:43Oh, no.
07:44Where is he?
07:46Oh, no.
07:50Here.
07:52Megatron is in jet mode.
07:55Yay.
07:56And I have to say, I actually really enjoy this jet mode.
07:59It's not perfect, but I enjoy it.
08:01I love the aesthetic that it pulls and the way it looks.
08:05Just, yeah.
08:06I don't know.
08:07Although the legs do show out and the hands and arms are visible on the back underside.
08:12And so are the legs, kind of.
08:14It just works for me.
08:16It's not as kibbley as other jets.
08:18I love how it takes a cube from the movie Megatron jet and has the head sticking out.
08:24The weapon looks pretty cool on top.
08:27Not aerodynamic at all, but it looks cool.
08:29The way the wings are just kind of work for me.
08:33And so does this front end right here.
08:35And how the front end becomes the chest later on in the transformation.
08:38It just works so well for me.
08:41I love the prime aesthetic.
08:42And I love how this portrays it in person.
08:45Something I'm not a big fan of, the purple transclearant plastic right there.
08:49It feels out of place.
08:50And the only reason it's there is because of the power riser gimmick.
08:55No articulation, no wheels, no rolling.
08:58Just looking like a really awesome Cybertronian jet.
09:02And that's all I gotta say about that.
09:27I can just go from here, right?
09:29Nope.
09:29Why can't you just do the robot mode and then we can go our separate ways?

10:26Just a better view on some of the stuff.
10:28And he's pointy.
10:30He's got all these spikes and whatnot.

10:33He's an evil genius, isn't he?
10:35I'm just gonna play around with the lighting just a little bit.

10:39And just overall, I think he looks really cool and menacing.
10:43Now, I don't get the dull gray necessarily, except to maybe break up the silver with this.
10:49But they could have gone with maybe like a dark silver.
10:52However, I think that would look good and more accurate to Megatron in the show.
10:56However, this is just a toy.
10:59We gotta remember that.
11:00This is just a toy.
11:01They gotta make it and then they gotta ship it off.
11:04And I do like the little details.
11:06He's got these little kind of like lines throughout him like he's actually got, like it looks like actual metal.
11:13And I really do like that.
11:16I really like the look of this.
11:17And in case you're just complaining that he doesn't have enough G1 nostalgia.
11:23Well, one, he's gray.
11:25Two, he's got his fusion cannon.
11:27So, that's awesome.
11:28We'll put that in later.
11:30And he's got a nice Decepticon logo, if I didn't mention that.
11:34And he's got legs like the old Megatron with the gun thing.
11:38So, maybe you can transform him into a gun.
11:40But he has a gun.
11:42And you push the back here.
11:44You got two little spots to where you can hold that.
11:47And his sword, not really the best, but it pops out.
11:53And that's actually in the show.
11:55However, if you want instead, you can slide these forward.
11:59And they actually will go forward.
12:02But as you can see, that kind of opens up.
12:04You kind of want to pull this back just a little bit and try to push that back.
12:10And if it still has a gap, try that again.
12:13And it should combine the sword.
12:15It's not as far out as what I'd hope it be.
12:19But whatever.
12:20At least you have the sword and it's not glowing and whatnot.
12:23And I'm not a big fan of the red glowing through it.
12:27But, you know, whatever.
12:29And you can stick that on here.
12:31It's actually got kind of a little post sticking out.
12:34So, it doesn't really move around all too much.
12:37And he also has this little spike weapon thing.
12:40Whatever you want to call it.
12:42I call it that metal magnet gauntlet thing that was one of the relics.
12:47So, that's kind of cool.
12:48I really do like the look of this.
12:52He's very nice.
12:53Very nostalgic to his G1 roots with the gray.
12:56I know he doesn't transform into a gun.
12:59But, he's still nice.
13:01His ball joints right here are kind of loose.
13:05And he does have a lot of back kibble.
13:07But, you can pop these off very easily if you want or modify them however you wish.
13:13So, G1 Megatron.
13:15I gotta say it's not bad.
13:16Let's go to Cybertron X Studios and then the overall review.
13:24Oh, so we must do robot mode, should we?
13:27Fine.
13:28Here we go.
13:29And here we are with the robot mode.
13:32And my gosh, Garly Gagarshkins.
13:34This guy is a really nice representation of Megatron from Transformers Prime.
13:39I'll grant you that the plastic is a little bland and it just feels unpainted.
13:43This plastic is just gray.
13:46Almost prototype gray.
13:48But, something that's really awesome about this plastic is that there's a brush to it.
13:52Almost as if it's metal.
13:53Let's see if you can see it there.
13:55That goes side to side in his leg there.
13:57Which I find is a really nice touch that sells the metallicness even without metallic paint.
14:02The curves on this guy are sleek, nice, and feel like they're right out of the prime cartoon.
14:06Plus, what little silver paint we get is put well to use on his face.
14:11It's a little blotchy, sure, but I enjoy it and it kind of makes his face pop.
14:16Articulation for this guy is decent, but it's definitely lacking.
14:19His head's on a ball joint, I'm guessing, and it can get some good tilting and turning, but no real
14:24up or down.
14:25You can kind of have him look like,
14:27Oh really, Starscream?
14:29You think that you can pull off such a devious act?
14:34And that's pretty much the head for you.
14:36Arm can go all the way up on a ball joint, all the way forward on a ball joint.
14:41You can kind of tilt and go out at the head of the ball joint once straightened out.
14:46Uh, elbow can bend about 90 degrees and you get a little bit of wrist in and out.
14:52While there's no wrist swivel, there's a kind of lower arm swivel, which does a little, quite a bit for
14:58the figure.
14:59Unfortunately, I would have gladly traded this arm swivel for a bicep swivel.
15:03Especially with the cannon on this arm, which I'll get to in a minute,
15:07you can't really bend the arm and aim it anywhere unless you go back here, untap the arm from the
15:13chest, and then move it back.
15:15Other than that, there's no real way to aim the cannon while his arm is bent, which is kind of
15:19sad.
15:20But what is cool is that these shoulder pads are completely independent,
15:23so you can move them out of the way and then move them back down and then kind of recover
15:28it and you're good.
15:29So shoulder pads stay out of the way well.
15:31Legs have a full ball joint range.
15:33You have back, forward, out, and you have a thigh swivel.
15:39You have a pretty good knee bend at a little over 90 degrees.
15:43And also you have some ankle articulation, mainly from the transformation.
15:48Also, this kind of counts as articulation.
15:50You have back kibble, right?
15:51And it kind of gets in the way of the aesthetic of the figure.
15:54What you can do is if you're having him on a shelf and just facing forward,
15:58what you can do is you can just pull the kibble back like this,
16:01and if it's not getting in the way of anything, it just looks like it's him.
16:05Or you can kind of fly them out as if they're wings.
16:08So that's pretty much it for articulation of this guy.
16:11Definitely lacking in the arms and a little lacking in the head,
16:14but decent enough to get some pretty good power poses out of him.
16:17Now let's talk about the weapon.
16:19Here we have Megatron's iconic fusion cannon.
16:22And the problem with it is, is that it is one of those powerizer weapons from the Primeline.
16:27However, in my opinion, it's the best one.
16:29It's not some big block brick like Optimus' or any of the others.
16:33It actually looks like Megatron's weapon from the get-go, minus the color scheme is a little off.
16:39It can work as a weapon in one mode and in the other.
16:42When you push on this button right here, Megatron's blade comes out, which is from the show.
16:48That's how you pull off a powerizer, people.
16:50The light works, eh, it doesn't really light up the blade like it's trying to.
16:54But it's pretty cool nonetheless that it's there.
16:57However, the powerizer thing does cause one problem, especially with my Megatron.
17:01My Megatron has some pretty weak shoulder ball joints.
17:05I'm probably going to have to go in and thicken those up.
17:08What that means is, the heavy powerizer weapon just causes his arm to kind of loop down.
17:15So that coupled with the lack of a bicep swivel means the only way I can aim his cannon is
17:18to kind of go in here,
17:20use the ball joint to kind of lock the arm up, and then just kind of have it like that.
17:24That's pretty much all I can do.
17:26I mean, that looks like a cool power pose, but other than that, you can't really do anything with it.
17:30Which really disappoints me.
17:31But you can still have him with the arm down stance,
17:34and he looks almost as if he'd climbed right out of the show.
17:38Aside from all the purple translucent bits.
17:40Especially since the powerizer gimmick doesn't really even light any of this up.
17:44I think it would have just been good just being solid purple.
17:47But other than that, he looks fantastic.
17:49He's pretty fun to play with.
17:50It's definitely the version of Prime Megatron.
17:54So overall, do I highly recommend Transformers Prime?
17:58Robots in disguise Megatron.
18:01Absolutely, even though he's not really a robot in disguise.
18:06Yeah.
18:07What club?
18:08How do you get in that club?
18:10Anyways, I would definitely recommend it,
18:11even though in some shots he has a goofy face.
18:16I don't know.
18:18But yeah, just overall, I'd highly recommend it.
18:22Would I recommend Prid Megs?
18:24Absolutely.
18:25While not perfect, he's show accurate,
18:27and really well represents the Prime aesthetic.
18:29Aside from the back kibble, that is.
18:32Compared with the first edition,
18:34this guy's bigger, and bigger is better with Megatron.
18:36He's better in scale with the other Prime figures.
18:39So if you have to choose between the Prid and the first edition,
18:42get the Prid if you're more into scale,
18:44and get the first edition if you really, really, really, really, really can't handle the gray.
18:48Other than the color, this guy is better.
18:50So he's big enough to be in scale with my other Prime figures,
18:52and his weapon is not half bad.
18:55He's a must-have for any collector who enjoys the show,
18:57who enjoys the character from the show,
18:59who enjoys Megatron overall,
19:00and who enjoys the toy line overall.
19:03Definitely because he's one of the best ones of the Prid toy line.
