At first, it’s awkward chemistry. Then it becomes a whole system. Sex gets weaponized. Lies get traded like currency. Manipulation stops being a tactic and turns into the atmosphere. The house slowly transforms from “vacation rental” to “locked-room nightmare,” except nobody tells the rules and everyone pretends they’re in control.

Bone Lake leans hard into the same messy appetite as Barbarian fans love: erotic tension as a trap. It’s fun in that nasty, “oh no, we’re doing this” way. IMDB 5.7, Rotten Tomatoes 83%. Yeah, it’s polarizing. That’s usually a good sign.

Diogo und seine Freundin Sage wollten ein romantisches Wochenende am Bone Lake. Klare Sache, oder? Denkste. Das Ferienhaus ist doppelt gebucht, und plötzlich stehen Will und Cin im selben Traumdomizil. Das klingt nach Peinlichkeit. Ist aber eher die perfekte Mischung aus zu viel Chemie, zu wenig Privatsphäre und einer Menge Spielchen.

Was als Party-Vibes für zwei Paare startet, kippt ziemlich schnell in Sex, Lügen und Manipulation. Und dann geht es nicht mehr um “Wer war nett zu wem?”, sondern darum, wer hier noch lebend durch den Flur kommt. Bone Lake ist dieser Art Horror, der mit einem Grinsen die Grenze zwischen Verführung und Gewalt abklappert. Für alle, die “Barbarian” mochten: Ja, das ist in der gleichen Ecke.
