Finn is 17 now, and that whole “got out alive” moment did not come with a user manual. He’s trying to function, but the past keeps knocking. Then it hits Gwen. His 15-year-old sister starts getting calls through her dreams from the black phone. Not comforting, not mysterious in a stylish way. More like the nightmare equivalent of a wrong number.
And while Gwen’s asleep, Alpine Lake is doing its worst. Three boys, winter camp, and visions that suggest something is stalking them. The movie leans into the same nasty premise: if that phone could ruin one life, it can definitely ruin another. Expect tension, dread, and the kind of dread where you keep thinking, “Surely they’ll notice the obvious creepy signs.”
“Black Phone 2” is horror by stubborn momentum. It’s not reinventing the genre. It just shows up with the same phone cord, plugs it in again, and dares you to look away. ---------- Finn ist 17 und versucht, irgendwie weiterzuleben, obwohl die Sache mit seiner Gefangenschaft nicht einfach „abgehakt“ werden kann. Überraschenderweise trifft es diesmal seine Familie. Seine fünfzehnjährige Schwester Gwen hört in ihren Träumen Anrufe von dem schwarzen Telefon. Ja, dieses Telefon. Und es liefert nicht nur Grusel-Soundeffekte, sondern Visionen: drei Jungs, Winterferienlager Alpine Lake, und irgendwas Unheimliches, das ihnen nicht wohlgesonnen ist. Was folgt, ist der typische „Okay, aber bitte nicht schon wieder“-Mix aus Horror und Schadensbegrenzung, nur diesmal aus der Perspektive von Träumen, Erinnerungen und dem Gefühl, dass das Böse immer einen zweiten Versuch bekommt.
„Black Phone 2“ bleibt praktisch am selben Nerv wie Teil 1. Nicht elegant. Nicht subtil. Aber merklich unterhaltsam, wenn man auf Spannung im Minuten-Takt steht.
