00:00Well, Giolito wants a two-year contract, and as other teams in Major League Baseball continue to lose starting pitchers,
00:09his value continues to go up.
00:11He had a really good year last year.
00:13Obviously, injury has been a part of his history, but when he's on the hill and healthy, he's a very
00:20viable pitcher.
00:21So there's no reason why the Cubs wouldn't be one of those teams looking at Giolito.
00:27Toronto is another. There's probably two or three others, and as long as Giolito waits, he becomes more attractive to
00:35teams,
00:36and there's more viability about him getting more than a one-year deal when you lose a top-of-the
00:41-rotation pitcher.
00:42There's just nobody to replace these guys in the minor leagues.
00:46A lot of teams just don't have those young pitchers ready to come up.
00:51The Cubs are one of them right now.
00:53They have Wiggins. I don't know the reason why he was taken out yesterday, but he is certainly their most
01:00viable young pitcher down there,
01:02you know, hitting the MPH at around 100.
01:05So he's one, but when he comes up, I don't know if he's a starter, he's a reliever.
01:11The innings issue comes up again with every young pitcher.
01:14How many innings are you going to allow him to pitch in that given year?
01:18How many innings are you going to pitch in that game?
