Bears QB Caleb Williams talks about what he likes from what he has heard about Ben Johnson's plans for the offense and overseeing the team as a whole.
Transcript
00:05What he's been able to do over there with Detroit and that offense,
00:10you don't see an offense doing things that they were doing without somebody
00:15like Ben at the helm of it just because there's so much time and so much effort
00:18and so much energy and passion that goes into it.
00:22That's great and all, but without the discipline and accountability,
00:25you don't get to do all those cool things like the stumble bum that he talked
00:28about with us, which he also brought up to me as soon as we talked
00:32and I didn't truly appreciate it.
00:36And then things like somebody like Tom Brady being like,
00:39I've never seen that in my life, and he's been through so many games,
00:41so many opportunities and things like that that he's had on the field
00:45and watching when they pitched it to the running back
00:49and then they pitched it back to Amara for like a 20-yard, almost scored.
00:53I don't know how long the distance was,
00:55but you don't have cool, creative things like that without somebody like him
00:59obviously being such a creative mind and then being super disciplined,
01:03being super and holding all the guys accountable.
01:06I think the structure.
01:08So we talked about the structure.
01:10We talked about he's a no-nonsense guy, but he'll always have my back,
01:16always have the support, always give me support.
01:19And so that was one of them was the structure, the no-nonsense,
01:23holding me accountable, and us two being on the same wavelength.
01:27Him being obviously all the way at the helm of it
01:30and him being the head coach and then me being the quarterback.
01:33Me being accountable, me being on the right time, right page,
01:37on the field and doing those things right, doing everything right.
