00:01Police say at around 6.15 last night, officers responded to a report of an altercation inside a residence in
00:09the Perth suburb of Padbury.
00:11When police arrived, they say officers found a 69-year-old man with critical injuries.
00:17They say emergency first aid was provided to the man until St John Paramedics arrived and took him to Royal
00:23Perth Hospital.
00:24He later died as a result of these injuries.
00:27Now, police say a 39-year-old man who they believe was known to the 69-year-old was arrested
00:34at the scene and is assisting police with their inquiries.
00:38We've seen forensic officers here at the residence this morning commence their investigations in this northern Perth suburb.
00:45And investigators are urging anyone who has any information relating to this incident to contact Crimestoppers.
