00:06So for today, we're going to focus a bit more on the high end premium tech and maybe even a
00:10bit
00:10into the luxury space. So I think a lot of you know, I've been sponsored by Harry Rosen for the
00:14past couple years. They're a menswear company based out of Canada. So they've sent over some
00:19travel bags. They know that I'm traveling like all the time. So this one, you can kind of see
00:23from the pattern. This is from Bottega Veneta. They sell them exclusively at their Toronto store.
00:27They are made out of this like super rich in premium leather, obviously on the pricey side.
00:32But for a luxury item, I actually like that there is pretty much like no branding. It's just the
00:37design that they're famous for. It's kind of like one of those bags. If you know, you know,
00:41this pattern specifically is called Entranchiato. It's essentially the woven leather. And on the
00:45inside, it's just a basic duffel. It'll store all the tech that you see. As an example, you can see
00:50they sent over their kind of matching little dop kit. So inside of this, I carry all my main essentials,
00:55like my passport, usually like my toiletries that go into here, you can see the difference between
01:00the brown and the black leather. And what I like about leather, when it gets like dirty, you can
01:04just kind of wipe it down. That's what's really nice compared to say canvas, which once you start
01:09traveling, that picks up like a lot of grime, just like the daily stuff. If you are into like high
01:14-end
01:14like luxe stuff, definitely make sure you check them out. I will leave a link below, especially if you
01:19happen to be in Toronto, but that is my new like luxe travel bags. So next, obviously the two most
01:24important things that when you travel, you have to keep your passport. Like I said, I'll just keep
01:28that kind of like inside of there. Your smartphone is probably the most used piece of tech. iPhone 17
01:32Pro Max, not going to talk about this a lot since I've had it since September as my like daily
01:37driver.
01:37You can see some customization that I've done on the back. I just have a dbrand skin because their
01:41little plateau or their camera ledge picks up quite a bit of scratches. So that helps protect some of the
01:47aluminum, probably the best smartphone that you can grab right now. But if there is a little travel
01:50hack, there's this little app called flighty. It helps track all of your obviously your flight. So you can
01:56actually see I have a hundred percent rating already for 2026. So I'm two for two for my flights being
02:02delayed. I flew to Vegas for CES. Hopefully they do not come anywhere near last year, which was 64%. Air
02:11Canada
02:11was an abysmal 70% late rating. If you follow me on social, you know that I love to just
02:16rant about how
02:17terrible of an airline they are. But those are two essentials. So getting to I guess like the main
02:23laptop. Once again, I think this needs no intro. This is my M4 Max MacBook Pro. From what I've seen
02:30from some of the rumors, we're actually going to get an updated like M5 chip from what I saw like
02:36end
02:36of this month. It already might be out by the time you're watching this video, essentially just like a
02:41new chip update. But we should be getting the new OLED MacBook Pros either by the end of this year
02:46or early next year. So I would honestly wait if you're in the market, if you're looking to upgrade
02:51to a new device. I know these get pricey, especially near the higher end. If you're
02:55speccing up, you know, the RAM, the storage, wait till the OLED models, the screen will get better.
03:00And we've kind of seen this design now for the past couple of years. It's due a refresh and you
03:05can
03:05see something that I keep on the bottom just once again to protect it. Another D brand skin,
03:09probably the cheapest and most affordable thing on the episode, but nevertheless, still good for that
03:14protection. Okay. So moving on to audio, probably when you travel your second most used piece of
03:18tech. So for over the ear, I cannot escape the Apple AirPod Maxes. I do think that the Sony WH
03:24-1000
03:25Mark 6s have better noise canceling. They sound better, but the ear cups on the apples are the
03:32softest and the most comfortable. So this is actually made out of some sort of memory foam.
03:36And what I really like if you are on flights, say, you know, for seven, eight hours, you wear them
03:40the
03:40entire time. They pick up quite a bit of gunk, which you see just, you know, from your ears,
03:45dirt and debris. The fact that you can pop these off and wash them easier, technically you can take
03:51off the Sonys, but they're just not as easy. You can also just buy spare replacement ones if you want.
03:56That's why I like these so much. And just for the ear fatigue, they do not hurt your ears. Even
04:01for
04:01like long haul flights to like Asia, 15, 16 hours, I have these on the entire time. So those are
04:07solid
04:08just for that reason. Not the best in terms of sound quality. They also cost a lot more money,
04:13but if you want the best like in-ear headphones, so these are the brand new Sony WF-1000X Mark
04:206s.
04:20So check these out, just like the AirPods. And I think just like the previous gen,
04:26these tips are actually made out of memory foam. That's what makes the fit and the noise canceling
04:31so good on these. So new to this year, they have even better noise canceling. So they have eight
04:35microphones to help listen to the surroundings and help block out the sound. They've got new
04:39drivers. They've been tuned by Grammy winners. They also have improved bone conduction sensors,
04:43as well as AI beamforming mics. By far the best sounding in-ear earbuds. They almost, I want to say,
04:48sound better than like the over-the-ear headphones, which is pretty crazy. So if you're looking for the
04:52best of the best, you can't look any further than these. So moving on to some camera tech, once again,
04:57really depends like what you're using your camera for. If you happen to be in like the content space,
05:02you might need a bigger kit, but if you're just shooting like basic photography, if you want
05:06something like really nice, once again, high-end that takes some of the best photos, but it's still
05:10compact enough to fit into a little bag, like fits into this dop kit, fits into like a little shoulder
05:16bag. This has to be kind of like the kit that you go for. This is the Sony a7CR. I've
05:21had it for
05:22close to two years with the 40 mil 2.5 prime. It's just so nice and compact. You can see
05:27that I have a
05:27little ND filter up front because I use it to record some of my video on my next trip. I'm
05:32actually going to take this, just take some like beach shots. We're actually going on our first
05:35little family vacation with all of the stuff that you see. That's why I'm kind of testing this out.
05:40So I will kind of share some of the photos, pretty much all the stuff that you see on Instagram
05:44is a shot with this little guy. It still records like in S log. So if I need it for
05:48like my professional
05:49work stuff, this little guy handles, it's obviously full frame. It's nice and handy. I love the like
05:55two tone finish on this, like the silver and the black. It gives it kind of a retro look.
05:59And like I said, it's still small enough to fit into any small bag. So switching on to like a
06:05tablet. So this one is a new one for me. This is the TCL note A1 next paper. So this
06:11is interesting.
06:11This is mostly like an e-reader slash productivity tablet. You can't technically download any apps on it,
06:17but I have been trying to read a bit more this year. I sadly have downloaded a comic, for example,
06:22as one of my first ones. So it's just a better e-reader than say reading off of like an
06:26iPad,
06:27something with like a brighter display. This is way better for your eyes. It almost mimics the ink,
06:33but it has way more display tech behind it. I actually made a full video on this. If you want
06:37to check it out, I think it's a great little device as like a secondary tablet. If you don't
06:41want to be distracted, kind of doom scrolling all these social media apps, I actually use it myself to
06:45say like jot down notes, any of my goals that I have for the new year, as it does come
06:49with a pen.
06:50So it's a cool little piece of tech. I would say in the e-reader, like note paper kind of
06:54space,
06:54it's one of the best that you can get and just came out this year. So lastly, we're switching
06:58to some accessories. I still think they're best in class for all of them. For example,
07:02this set three in one charger for the ESR. This thing is like perfect for traveling. It snaps into
07:07obviously this compact form factor, but once you get to your hotel, wherever you happen to be,
07:12you can kind of break this out. And it not only charges your iPhone, which is stay on front.
07:16When connected, you just kind of slot your iPhone, pretty much starts charging. And what's dope on
07:22the back, say for example, you've got like AirPods that will just go on to that charger,
07:26you can see it another light. And on the back, if you've got the trifecta, the Apple watch just kind
07:31of slots right onto the back and you can once again, start charging. So I think it's really great.
07:36And then like I said, once you're done, you're checking out, you got to go for the day,
07:40just kind of disconnect it. And it all folds into this little compact form factor, which is great.
07:45You saw that I have my Apple watch as like my wearable piece of tech. I kind of go between
07:51like
07:51that and say like my traditional mechanical watch this, for example, can't get wet. This is a like
07:57speedy means probably the most to me out of all my watches. I got this as a present for my
08:01wedding,
08:01but that cannot go in the water. It's a manual one watch. And when I want to work out,
08:06when I want to swim, this is series 11, honestly prefer this over say like the Apple watch ultra.
08:11I know that it technically has less features. I'm not like an ultra marathon runner. This is just
08:15way thinner on the wrist. It has a nice thin profile. And I've just got this nomad orange band.
08:21If you can't tell from all of my stuff, I am a huge fan of the color. And lastly,
08:25just have a little Logitech MX master four mouse. One of the best mice that you can get when I
08:30bring my
08:30laptop around. I like to work sometimes from like the hotel room in my older age, I just can't do
08:35the track pad life. I now travel with a mouse. Once again, best in class, I think for all the
08:41accessories. So lastly, to complete the orange collection, obviously you need a wallet for ID
08:46and you know, credit cards. So this is my Go Yard St. Pierre wallet. It's held up really well.
08:51And that's the thing with like luxury, like high and premium items. I like to buy them for specific
08:56like reasons. I feel like they have so much more intrinsic value. For example, like wedding.
09:00Uh, this is when I actually crushed it in 2024. Z fold six launch. I got this like in Paris
09:07from
09:07their flagship store. So it has this cool, like little memory. And I think once again,
09:11that just means so much more, but that is kind of like my premium travel luxury tech. I know I
09:18usually create like a lot of budget episodes, like best tech under like $20, $50. So now just going to
09:23the other end of the scale, hope you guys enjoyed it. And remember you don't have to have everything like
09:27super high end, like the most expensive of every category. You can kind of mix and match,
09:32build your way towards it. You know, technically when you think about it, like a Casio watch that
09:37is $10, $15 keeps better time than this guy in the end, it's all relative. And maybe the things
09:42that give you the most value, like say for the camera is what enabled me to, you know, afford this
09:46stuff to create this channel. Maybe investing to yourself is the best piece of advice that I can give
09:51anyone in the end till one of my next ones. And here's to air Canada, not screwing me over
09:57throughout the rest of the year. Peace.
