00:07Okay, so fun little comparison today on two devices that are very similar in terms of
00:11performance but very different in terms of price and what you actually get. So this is the brand
00:17new Poco X8 Pro. So if you haven't heard of this brand before, they really are a bang for your
00:22buck
00:22smartphone, you're getting quite a lot. So this just launched this cost $399 for this exact spec,
00:29which is 12 gigs of RAM, 512 gigs of storage. They also have a base 8 gig and 256 gig
00:35storage for
00:36$329, but let's kind of focus on this one versus the Samsung Galaxy S25 FE fan edition, the one that
00:43people tend to get. This thing costs $700, so close to double the price. It's crazy for what you get.
00:50We'll do a quick little unboxing first. We'll compare them because like I said, specs are similar.
00:55So you can even see from the box size, we're going to get a lot more in this. Obviously in
01:00the
01:00Samsung, you just get the one cable and of course the device. So very simple. I think that's like a
01:09lot of phone unboxings these days. Over on the X8 Pro we have, we've got a silicon case, which is
01:16nice.
01:16We've got the device itself as well as a hundred watt charger. So that's pretty crazy. It's great that
01:23some companies still included charging brick and obviously a hundred Watts is massive. And of course
01:27the USPC cable to boot. So that's a hundred Watts. They call it hypercharge charging on the Poco X8 Pro
01:33versus 45 Watts minus the charging brick, which you have to buy separately. That's still probably an
01:39extra 20, 30 bucks on the side. And this also has 27 Watts reverse wire charging, which is industry
01:45leading, which we'll get to in a second. So that is the unboxing experience. You're familiar with the
01:49device. Cool. Let's get that out of the way and compare the rest of, I guess, like the design
01:54quickly. So you can see both devices. I've got them here in black. So the comparison is pretty
01:58similar. Very sleek, very minimal, honestly, for both the aluminum banding around the Samsung,
02:03that's in a two-tone color. The device is slightly taller for the Samsung. You've got a plain side
02:08with the volume rocker and on and off button for both devices on the same side. And obviously on the
02:13bottom, you've got the speaker grill, USB-C charger, and the SIM card slot. Try pretty much in the
02:18identical position. So similar, we obviously have a camera difference, which I'll get to later on the
02:23video, but two lenses compared to the three. So it's 6.59 inches, 1.5K, 120 Hertz, and gets up
02:30to
02:303,500 nits of peak brightness. Of course, it's an AMOLED panel compared to the same kind of panel here,
02:35slightly larger because of the form factor. So 6.7 inches, only full HD plus. It's also 120 Hertz
02:43and dynamic AMOLED 2X. But before we get into the performance, I quickly want to showcase a special
02:49edition of the X8 Pro, which I've reviewed the last gen, like the X7 Pro. So this is the Ironman
02:56edition. It actually costs the same price. So $399. It is limited edition. So you got a quick on it
03:02and the unboxing experience. It's super, super cool. So if you take a look at this, you've got all the
03:08Ironman paraphernalia inside, obviously some special detailing. You can see Ironman suit, which is
03:13really cool. This little Avengers like plaque up top. This actually holds the little SIM card tool, which
03:19is a Marvel pin, which I will say in all of my tech stuff, that is probably the coolest little
03:28SIM card
03:28tool that I've managed to collect. We also have inside of here a case, just like in the standard
03:35edition, but this is way cooler, almost like an Ironman's like armor here. So you can see a Tony
03:40Stark and that actually has some like depth and detail to it, which is super dope. You can see
03:46right there, special limited edition and the actual device on the bottom with a red USB-C charger this
03:54time. And quickly taking this out, same specs as the regular phone, but on the back, this is what makes
04:00it really cool. Check out the back design there. So you can see Stark Industries and it's almost got
04:07like a two-tone effect. So that Ironman logo, that is like gloss and you can actually feel that onto
04:13the rest of the mat of the phone. Some gold detailing. That looks pretty sleek and with the case kind
04:21of
04:21slapped on, you are pretty much Ironman with this phone. And it also has its own themed wallpaper,
04:26obviously Ironman with the gold with that wallpaper in the background. So super, super sleek. Once again,
04:33limited edition phone, same price as literally this one. So $399. Imagine paying like 399 bucks for this
04:39or $700 for this, like that price difference is crazy. But yeah, that's a cool little limited edition
04:48of the XA Pro. So next off onto performance, once again, pretty big difference here. We have the brand new
04:53MediaTek Dimensity 8500 Ultra chip on this. Think of this as more of like a flagship level performance
04:59for once again, like a budget or mid-range kind of price. This is rocking the Xenos 2400. And when
05:06we
05:06benchmark these with say Antutu, the scores are very, very similar. Obviously that varies on when you like
05:13benchmark it, but for actual like performance, both devices, they feel very like quick and snappy. When I
05:18navigate through the UI, multitask, switch between apps, it's very responsive on both. That's actually
05:24like a big plus to these mid-range devices, like in general, compared to like flagship levels. I feel
05:30like they're very, very quick and snappy. But I'd say the biggest difference here is when I really push
05:35my device, especially for mobile gaming. So usually like the benchmark is launching and playing like
05:40Genshin Impact. So I'm able to maintain like a steady 60 frames here. Whereas on the Samsung, I find like
05:46sometimes I get drop frame rates, some noticeable stutters and lags, and the device gets a bit hotter
05:52through prolonged gameplay. And that's really due to the dual layer ice loop cooling system on this,
05:57which helps keep the chip on it nice and cool when you are pushing it to its max and helps
06:01prevent any
06:02sort of like throttling. Because you know, when you're gaming, the last thing that you want to do
06:06is to drop any frame. So big notice on that, you know, maybe for basic tasks, not so much, but
06:12if you
06:12are a heavy gamer, you will really be thankful for that extra performance boost. So over on to the
06:18cameras, this is like a clear indication. You've got three lenses versus the two. So theoretically,
06:22like more versatility, you've got a 50 megapixel main, 12 megapixel ultra wide and a 8 megapixel
06:29telephoto. In all honesty, how many times do you use that 8 megapixel telephoto? A little bit soft for my
06:36liking. So I'd only compare the two versus a 50 megapixel main. And that's just a standard wide,
06:41which you'll use the majority of the time and a 8 megapixel ultra wide, you can still do 2x
06:46technically when you just kind of crop in. So you do have that little bit of range. When we're just
06:52comparing, I would say like the main sensors or even the ultra wides, I'll leave some sample shots
06:57here as like performance indicators. I'll let you guys be the judge pretty decent in good lighting
07:02conditions. Both aren't taking like outstanding night photos, I would say compared to like other
07:07flagships ones that cost over that $1,000 mark, I would say camera performance is like your biggest
07:12indicator here. But for the general point shoot for well lit photos, you're taking decent photos.
07:19Once again, I will let you guys be the judge in terms of the comparisons. One little cool thing for
07:23the Poco though, is this little dynamic RGB light that kind of is around the ring. So as an example,
07:30one of the settings, when you take like a photo, setting the timer, it becomes a little indicator light.
07:35So you know, during the countdown, so you can see their countdown is starting five, four, three,
07:40those lights are flashing. And when it's about to hit one, snaps the photo cool. Also, as when you're
07:46charging, you can see that little indicator light with green because it is RGB to let you know that
07:50you are charging your device. So cool little indication light, which I like once again,
07:54nothing on the Samsung, just an extra little bonus, an extra feature that you can have over on the
08:00X8 Pro. And this will actually change based on the battery indication. So if you're a bit lower,
08:04say like 50 to like 75%, that will be like white. If it's like lower, like around 25%,
08:10that will be like red slash orange. So just a good little visual indication to know where your
08:15battery kind of health or your where your battery life is at. So on to durability, we have Corning
08:21Gorilla Glass Victus Plus for the Samsung over on the Poco side, we have a Corning Gorilla Glass 7i.
08:27But in terms of water and dust resistance, we only have IP68, whereas the Poco goes up to IP69K.
08:34A lot of great features to love about this phone that costs like what I said, almost half the price.
08:40And finally, lastly, you're using your device a lot. The battery is the most important part. So I said,
08:45this has a huge, like this is actually one of the largest 6,500 milliamp hour battery. That's
08:51actually larger than like an iPhone, like 17 Pro Max, even the new S26 Ultra, which is like triple
08:58the price. That's only 5,000 milliamps. This for example, S25 FE, decent value, only 4,900 milliamps.
09:07So once again, huge, huge difference here in terms of like value across like, I guess,
09:11like dollar per milliamp hour when you kind of look at it like that. And if you even couple of
09:16the fact
09:16that this has a hundred watts wire charging, so you can charge this up even faster. And it's funny,
09:21when your other devices die, you can still charge them with say like this phone, since this has 27
09:27watts reverse wire charging, which is industry leading. So really cool to see like the battery
09:32tech on a phone that is so much more like budget friendly, so much more like affordable than other
09:38flagships when phones have just become so ridiculously like expensive. When you look at like the S26 Ultra,
09:45how expensive that has got some of the iPhone models, it has gotten crazy, you're paying like
09:49$1,500. It's really hard to say like those devices are worth like two to three times more
09:55for a phone when you get such like similar performance out of something that is so good.
10:01And I guess like last but not least for like connectivity, if you happen to have like other
10:05devices, if you're like an Apple user, if you've got like AirPods sticking around through the Xiaomi app,
10:10you can actually use like say AirPods natively, which is great.
10:13So you can choose like active noise canceling, you can switch between transparency mode. But
10:17for Samsung, you're kind of like tethered to the Samsung ecosystem. So maybe good if you've got like
10:22the Galaxy buds, but that is pretty much what that is kind of limited to. So let me know your
10:28thoughts
10:28down below, you can kind of see which one I'm leaning to. It's really hard to pass up on the
10:34value of
10:34the POCO. It's really a performance flagship with exceptional value, really great for users who
10:39prioritize both performance and value. And it should be on your radar, especially this,
10:44this Iron Man edition, which still costs $399 for the same spec, but make sure you act quick.
10:50I will leave all links down below since this is technically limited edition, snag it while you can.
10:55Hope you guys enjoyed this comparison. And if you ever say that I don't review like budget phones,
11:01stuff that's more affordable, I can shut you up right now since we feature two pretty solid ones here.
11:07Peace.
