00:19And we met this adorable husky puppy.

00:24So we assumed he'd get adopted right away
00:28and didn't need our help.
00:30So we left without him.
00:32A few weeks later, we went back
00:34and he was still there, shivering alone in his kennel.
00:38He wasn't the same bright, hopeful dog I met before.
00:42It was like he had just given up.
00:45And we knew we couldn't leave him again,
00:47so we got him out of there.
00:50Oh, he left.
00:52He met our dog, Roxy.
00:55And it went surprisingly well.

01:01When we got him home, his heart was beating so hard.

01:09He had no idea where he was.
01:10He was exhausted and clung to us.
01:13For two weeks, he cried in his sleep.

01:22We became determined to give him new happy memories.
01:26And as much love and space as he needed to decompress.

01:35He started to understand he was in a good place.
01:39He looked to Roxy to learn how to be a dog.
01:42And he did.
01:47We gave him so many firsts.
01:49Real walks.
01:51Play sessions.
01:53The first time at the beach.
01:59And somewhere along the way,
02:01I fell completely in love with him.
02:05But I always knew my job was to find him the perfect home.
02:10I have good news and I have bad news.
02:14The good news is that Cooper has found a forever home.
02:19The bad news is that I'm gonna have to let him go.
02:23And when we found his forever family,
02:25all the way in Finland,
02:27we knew it was exactly where he was meant to be.
02:31Saying goodbye to him was one of the hardest things I've ever done.

02:41I cried harder than I maybe ever have.
02:48But his new family is already so in love with him.
02:52And seeing him run, explore and truly thrive there.
