It took so long to get the leash around the first one — wait until the second one decides to hop right into her car. Diane told us how she built up their trust in order to rescue them, and gives us an update on where they are now!

00:00This dog jumped out of nowhere in front of my car.

00:03Immediately stopped and grabbed some food that I had in the back of my car.

00:09Oh, there's another one.

00:13Were you hurt, buddy?

00:18I fed them and I tried to get closer to see if they were friendly.

00:27Come here.

00:30When I first tried to approach them, they were both very timid.

00:37There was no way in that moment, even if I wanted to try and get them in my car, that I had the resources to do that.

00:45Stay there, okay? I'll be back.

00:58It's starting to rain.

01:08Ben wanted to quickly grab an animal or force them to do something that they don't want to do.

01:16I love being in the moments with them and allowing them to trust me and feel safe with me.

01:29If I could gain the black dog's trust first, then that white dog would see that his companion trusted me and then would hopefully come around.
